 Icarus turned quickly, while keeping his attention on Aegis, and  retrieved his pills from Clockwork.

The ex-guard sighs quietly as she sits back in her seat.  She'd caught a brief glimpse of Noble as everypony else reacted to his presence, but there wasn't anything any of them could hope to do about it while on a moving train.  Crisis averted for now...  Celestia, he'd better not try anything in Canterlot!  

 

She sits up again as that thought crosses her mind, trying to force it out of her head.  It'll be fine...  Even with the Litany, he can't go up against Celestia and Luna.  There's nothing to worry about...  With a loud sigh she forces herself back down into her seat, pulling her gaze away from the window.

The changeling tilted his head as he eavesdropped on Mirror and Scribbler, curious about what this new information could bring.  The talk of magic didn't concern him too much, as he didn't understand it himself, but the discussion of the Litany had been relevant to all of them.  He didn't know what Orion's feelings on the Litany were now, but Zintiik liked having his hooves on information like this...  Infortmation was power, after all.

 

Seeing that the two of them were nearing the entrance to the hotel, Zintiik jumps down from the roof.  Snapping his wings out to slow his descent before he hits the ground, 'Tactic' lands behind the two of them as though to enter the hotel behind them.  Even though he was in character, Zintiik couldn't resist the urge to make a small jab at their expense as way of saying hello.  "Did you two have a nice date?"  He grins knowingly at Scribbler before forcing his face back into the bored expression that Tactic always wore.

Crimson was so distracted with his own thoughts, that he didn't see Noble outside until the train was already in motion away from the station. Crimson's eyes widened and he shot to his hooves, rushing to the back window of the cart, preparing to break down the door, and jump out of the train in a desperate attempt to kill Noble. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR ALL DOING?! ARE YOU BLIND?! That bastard is at the train station! I'm gonna go back to finish him off!!" he shouted as he charged past Aegis and Kingfisher, heading straight for the back door.

 

(Note: Crimson doesn't care if it costs him his life, if he sees Noble, he's henna try his best to stop him before he hurts anyone, but unfortunately, that doesn't include himself, and he's drunk, he's half crazy, and he's desperate, trying to jump out the back of a moving train...you guys do the math...)

"Oh buck, not now... Looks like I'm gonna owe you ten bits..." Muttered Kingfisher to the mare next to her as she clambered over the seat and pushed down the train towards the pirate.

"Hey!" She shouted out, not really sure how she was supposed to deal with something like this, but knowing that she couldn't just sit by and do nothing. Lunging after Crimson, she just started to say the first things that came into her head. "Get back here before your a part of the track! I told Red that I wasn't going to let you kill yourselves and by the sisters I don't intend to break that promise because of you!"

Eclipse looked to the seat next to his, which turned out to be the seat where Pavisa was. The stallion outside was unsettling, to say the least. He didn't look like he was here to call a truce or friendship of any sort.

"What exactly is this Noble guy's deal?" Eclipse asked the ex-guard. "Why would he want the Litany after Aegis simply told him of the artifact?"

"Well, I don't have a good feeling about him, Aphrodite." Blast said, not taking his eyes off of the stallion. "I think he'll stop at nothing to cease our search."

Icarus watched the as  Crimson sped past him and Aegis, with Kingfisher right behind him. It took Icarus a moment, but then he realized what exactly Crimson was running towards.He immediately stood up.

 

" Kingfisher, restrain him, and I might be able to calm him down" Icarus shouted at the mare as she bolted down the isle.

 

Icarus quickly checked his medicinal area of his bags and pulled out a vial of Chloroform, and began to calculate the dosage that might be needed.

Without thinking, Aegis grabbed the back of Crimson’s cloak. “If you go out there, you’ll be killed. And then what will you achieve? Nothing. He’ll still be alive, and half of Canterlot will be rubble. Think, Crimson. We need a plan and a way to beat him without getting innocents caught up in the fight. You’re not the only one who wants to see him stopped, but we can’t do anything yet…”

Midnight Sky

 

So far Midnight had managed to just sit in his seat and mind his own business while learning about their new travel companions, but Crimson's outburst just couldn't be ignored. "Crimson, listen to Aegis on this one. Wanting to stop Noble is one thing, but trying to stop him when you probably won't win, and where innocent ponies could get hurt, is not the way to go. Think of how many Canterlot ponies might die if you and Noble get into another large battle like the one you had in the Litany Temple, but if you let him go for now then there is a chance that no pony would get hurt. Besides, I doubt any pony would try to take on the sisters so soon after gaining their powers, at worst he's just here to plan his attack. So just sit down and wait for a better time, I'm sure you'll get your chance." Midnight said in an icy tone. Normally he would have been a bit less cold about how he approached this situation, but he really wasn't in the mood thanks to the frosty weather outside. The cold always reminded him of Frozen Stars, and those memories always put Midnight in a sour mood. After his lecture Midnight Sky remained standing where he was, to make his point that he would help restrain Crimson if need be.

 

 

Sunshine Rays

 

Sunshine just looked on with a bit of worry. She already barely even recognized that 'Noble' pony, and with Crimson acting up like this all the others were on edge. To top it all off her brother was clearly in a bad mood, and she didn't like it when Midnight was in a bad mood. He's never done anything mean or anything like that, but when Midnight gets in a bad mood he does tend to be a bit more cold-hearted and sometimes even aggressive. Hopefully nothing caused this situation to escalate or Midnight could end up breaking the train, then they'd have to walk all the way to the Crystal Empire. This just shows that she'll need to stay with the group, if for no other reason than to try and keep Midnight Sky from getting too agitated.

Clockwork listened to the banter around him, stifling a mixture of annoyance and cold blooded thoughts. "This group is a bunch of ragtag ruffians, I must find somewhere to be rid of them for now.. The only sane one in this group is sitting next to me." He was about to stand before Crimson began dashing towards the back of the train, tailed by Kingfisher. Icarus stood up, readying a dose of sedatives. He remained seated for the moment, waiting to see how this would go down. "Smart pony.." He thought, as he watched Icarus. "This one will be a valuable ally indeed."

Between Kingfisher and Aegis's convincing, Crimson calmed down, but he still stayed in his bad mood, giving a deep, almost animalistic growl of frustration, as steam rolled out of his nostrils and mouth. "Next time I see him...I don't care if it costs me my life, I will kill him...I won't let any more innocent ponies die to a power hungry fool like him...ever again..." he mumbled the last part, before turning around and shoving past Aegis, Kingfisher, Icarus, and Midnight, trotting silently over to the next cart, where he continued drinking.

Aegis sighed and shook his head. He understood Crimson’s intent, but there was a chance that Noble could be reasoned with and he was willing to take that chance. He returned his attention to Icarus. “To answer your question, I was born in Fillydelphia, but I travel a lot. I’ve only recently purchased a house in Canterlot. My life is just being the quiet one, standing up for others who can’t do it themselves, then travelling looking for stories to inspire others.”

Icarus watched as Crimson stormed past him, still in an angry mood. Icarus slowly sat down, and was very sure to put his sedatives in  a place were he could reach them quickly.

 

Hmm, I had better keep an eye on him, I'll keep my chloroform within reach, just in case he tries something...

 

As Icarus sat down, he looked around, so he could see were everypony was seated in-case something else popped up

Eclipse noticed Crimson walking into the next cart, looking more red hot angry than a dragon that'd just been woken up. He seemed to be angry about somepony. Probably Noble, considering that he was the only power-hungry individual besides Orion. He got up out of his seat and trotted up to the next cart, walking up to the pirate.

"Hey, there, Crimson. Something bugging you?" He asked, sitting down next to him. "You can talk about it with me if you want. I'll listen."

"Phillydelphia, I heard it was a nice area. If only I could have been as privileged as you to be raised there. You seem to have a nice lot in life" Icarus said, smiling under his mask.

She could have gone to talk to the pirate but the way she saw it, the longer he sat in the other carriage, the further they got from Canterlot... and the less likely it was that he would try something like that again.

 

"... I'm taking a holiday after this." Muttered Kingfisher as she sat down heavily in her seat. "Just me. No ancient magic. No pirates. No adventuring groups or fighting for my life... Just me, an island and some sun."

 

Noble was in Canterlot: doubtless he wasn't simply there as a tourist - she was relieved that Redwave had left for Ponyville the night before. Fighting wasn't going to help though, not now. He had wings - clearly he was growing in some way - and if their previous meeting was anything to go by then they wouldn't have any hope against him in their current state.
 
She watched the countryside speed by the window as the train hit maximum speed. It was going to be a long trip, but thankfully not one they had to walk like their previous adventure.

Midnight Sky

 

After Crimson stormed past him and the others and went into the other car, Midnight let out a sigh of relief. If Crimson hadn't calmed down and listened to reason, then there could have been an unnecessary fight on their hooves. "Well, I see this venture is off to about as good of a start as our last one. With our luck things will only get worse from here, but then whoever said saving Equestria was easy work." Midnight said, mostly to himself. While Crimson was a good pony, especially for a pirate, he seemed to be pretty hot headed at times, and that could end up causing a lot of trouble later on. 'I don't think it will amount to much, but maybe I should keep an eye on Crimson just to be safe. His heart is clearly in the right place but he could end up endangering others in his determination to get a rematch against Noble. I don't even want to think about how destructive a fight between those two would be if it really got going, after all last time their battle was interrupted by the Litany Temple beginning to collapse. Better safe than sorry.' Midnight thought as he took his seat. Looking out the window, Midnight thought forward to when they arrive in the Crystal Empire. Of all the places this Bardic fellow could call them to, it had to be there, the place Midnight disliked the most in Equestria purely because of where it is. This was looking to be an interesting adventure, even more so than the week before.

Noble Persona and Gwyn

 

The frantic movement in the train caught Noble’s attention. Two possibilities opened up immediately. It was either the group attached to Orion, or that other group that Midnight Sky and Crimson Grinn were part of.

 

“Something the matter?” Gwyn asked.

 

“Nothing we need to worry about. It seems that the pony I wanted to see just left on the train, though. It’s a pity, because he’s quite a storyteller. He’ll understand the need for a revolution. I’m sure of it. We are friends, after all.” Noble said.

 

“The stallion with the pink and black mane who looks like a mare?” Gwyn asked.

 

“His name is Aegis and he’s a good friend of mine, though we haven’t seen each other in years.” Noble said, annoyed at the description.

 

Gwyn sighed. “Of course… By the way, what exactly were you thinking when making me?”

 

“It doesn’t matter.” Noble said. He quickly changed the subject. “But enough of that. I no longer have any immediate business, so I’m all yours for today.”

 

 “Good, because I don’t plan on letting you go.” Gwyn said. She sounded a little too possessive as she spoke, though. They made their way to the square. Gwyn perused the various stalls, investigating the new sights, sounds and smells, while Noble checked vantage points, estimated the amount of ponies the square could hold, and came up with possible escape routes.

 

‘This will do nicely. Soon, I’ll start putting my plan into motion. Equality, order, justice... For these things, sacrifices must be made.’

 

 

Aegis Dare

"It is a nice place, and I still go back there to visit my dad. But I love travelling, and learning new things. But I try to take things as they come. Something that's getting harder to do." Aegis said. He couldn't help grinning at Kingfisher's remark.

 

"A vacation would be nice. Move into my new house...when they let me...then just go to bed for a week."

Frost had not realized that he dosed off a few minutes after the train ride had begun. He felt his head dip lower and lower before he jolted awake, his head almost in his lap. He looked around to see Kingfish and he began to ask questions, in a tired daze. "Are...are we there yet? I didn't miss my stop did I? Agggghhhh come n." He grumpled, a frown across hus face.

He got up from the seat, and strolled into the next car over, glancing over to Crimson and Eclipse as he passed. "Ugh.. you again." He thought, as he noticed who the unicorn was. He kept moving until he found a bunk car, and jumped up into one of the top beds. He shut the blind, and buried his head under the pillow. Drowning out the sound of the rails and the clunking of the wheels. "What a morning.." He groaned.

Pacing the room quietly, Orion felt restless. He knew that the spell would work - he had checked the supplied that he had been left, and he had gone over the exact mechanics of the magic in question time after time in his head. Still, creating a spell was a difficult enough task even without accounting for the fact that this was a spell designed to tap into the magic of an unknown magical artifact... 

 

voices outside caught his attention: already on edge, he peered out of the window to see the three companions stood just outside, in the middle of the night.

 

'What are they talking about thats so important it couldn't wait until they were back here...?'

He wondered, pushing the glass pane aside and waving a hoof down to the three... the two ponies and the changeling.

Crimson chuckled. "Yeah...your right, while saving ponies lives and fighting bad guys is right up my ally, there's just one problem...I'm fighting...for no one..." he said with a sigh, taking a long swig of rum. After a moment, he lowered the bottle with a sad look. "For all of my life I've been fighting for the safety and well being of other ponies, defeating monsters, dethroning tyrants, stealing from the rich to give to the poor...I've done it all, just for the Sole purpose of being a good pony and helping others...but there's more to life than just simple action...that, I learned only too late...only after watching the one girl I ever loved, die before my eyes...it took her death just to wake me up and realize that I have one flaw, that not even I can handle...I'm fighting for no one...and you know what's funny? Right after the her death, I watched one of my brothers get married, watched the other one have kids, and looked on as one of my oldest friends got together with another old friend of mine...and me? I just did what I always do...fight for everypony...and nopony..." he said, before once again drinking.

 

((just so you guys know, this is technically overshadowing, because this problem has technically been solved, just not until after the events of this RP...if he survives...))
