Drawmare 24 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 It may be silly, but it's adorkable! My Signature Request Thread
jish55 20 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 It's cool, I have no issue with the term because of where it's used. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZfEki4zUcM this image was taken from scenes in the short Epic Rage Time: The Incredible Derp by Alligator Tub Productions. I do not own the rights to any of these images.
Mr Dash 1,820 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 As many others have said, it's fine in the show. It makes sense there. But IRL, it does sound a bit silly. I don't mind it as much if it is used occasionally in texts, forums, etc. It sounds silliest when spoken. Like, don't underestimate my power man. Winona the Dog 1,984 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 It's only annoying when people use it where it's not meant to be. (I.e.: Anywhere but the fandom) Otherwise I don't mind using the word.
Rinkitty 589 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 A bit, but I never really have a problem when they say it in the show. It's when people use it is real life that I cringe hard.... ~Siggy made by Kitteh O Shy <3 In a society that has destroyed all adventure, the only adventure left is to destroy that society~
Shanks 10,816 December 9, 2013 Share December 9, 2013 It does but so do alot of the other pony related puns in the show, Manehattan, Canterlot, Saddle Arabia and that is just to name a few. But the puns do give the show a certain charm to it, it kind of reminds of the Dragon Quest video game series except in that the puns are really over the top yet hilarious. One of my personal favorites is this one random enemy called the Cockatier in Dragon Ques VII that is a sword wielding anthropomorphic chicken dressed as a musketeer. Sloggobbler 31 December 9, 2013 Share December 9, 2013 I did find it strange at first but, I got used to it after a little bit. What I do find strange is the fact that the dragons also use the word, so I'm guessing that the ponies founded the language and the dragons just caught on to it. Static Electricity 729 December 9, 2013 Share December 9, 2013 Yes, yes it does. Nobody goes around saying "everyhuman".
KikiTwilight 90 December 9, 2013 Share December 9, 2013 It did sound silly to me when I started watching the show, honestly, but then... it just became natural to me, I guess... and I grew to like it ^^ Now, I don't even notice that, I notice if they say "everybody" in the show, lol. Which happened in 1st season mainly, though. So, it's okay with me. I don't use it in real life though, very rarely. It just doesn't feel right addressing people as "ponies". However, who knows... maybe someday
Moonlight 7,287 December 9, 2013 Share December 9, 2013 I think it sounds okay when used in the show, but anywhere else it just sounds really awkward and stupid. matching setups with my bff pathfinder
FNGRpony 658 December 9, 2013 Share December 9, 2013 Ever hear drowning in horse shoes groan at pony speak?Yeah i concur. I feel fine with reviewers using it when in their oc, but if i don't want a human doing it LOL. until lyra starts saying everybody, than all bets are off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvTYhrZUgYY flight to the finish. i continue to improve,
