VeroxVitrus 70 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 The point I'm trying to across is that does it bug you everytime the ponies say Everypony? I personally think the word Everyone sounds better.
Fluttershyfan94 5,708 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 I like it, doesn't bother me at all. I think it's cute that they use the word "everypony" instead of everyone.
 Badges 3
repsol rave 2,964 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 i sometimes say everypony on accident when i talk english o.0. people tend to look weird after that. anyway, yeah i think it's pretty cute. doesn't bug me at all actually.
Scootaloodle 1,621 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 It is a bit silly: but I like the word 'everypony' it's rather cute that they say that and it's like a word that's unique to the show as silly as that sounds
QuirkyUsername 1,575 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 Hit and miss for me. Using it occasionally as a joke is cool and all but people using it in everyday speech is really obnoxious.
PlunderSteed 1,250 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 The point I'm trying to across is that does it bug you everytime the ponies say Everypony? I personally think the word Everyone sounds better. This is one of those aspects of the show that works pretty well in animation, but feels awkward (or creepy) when a member of the fanbase tries to use it IRL.
Declen 118 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 No, it doesn't. I like it. I'm russian, if that matters.
ReverseFaller 2,476 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 It's a cute little addition to the show, in my opinion. I find it awkward when people say it in real life. I have a friend who says "everybrony" instead of "everypony", since we're not ponies, but we are bronies.
Jack Spades 162 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 I have no problem with it in the show, but when someone uses it in real life I have to cringe.
JonPear 209 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 I've always felt that "everypony" is one of the wittiest aspects of the dialogue in the show And I myself went around saying "everypony" and "nopony" to fellow fans with enthusiasm for two or three years I've been deliberately saying "everyone" and "no one" lately though; I started feeling self-conscious and it started feeling a bit silly after the the novelty of it wore off a little. I still love hearing it in the show though
hawkflame 3,305 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 It's one of those things that sounds fine in show, since it's part and parcel with the playful nature of the series, but if you use it in real life, it sounds like you've taken things a little too far. Carbon Maestro 1,002 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 I refrain from using it unless it's roleplaying a character. It's just doesn't feel natural to call people "ponies."
Scootalove 10,672 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 It sounds better to use it in the show, when you use it in real life people won't understand what your referencing and the conversation would just go south and become awkward. rainbowdashbrony1 129 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 If somepony thinks it's silly for me I think it's 100 cooler % like me as Rainbow Dash !
Malinter 3,059 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 in the show it makes sense that they would say it. I've never spoken it IRL though I do use it when typing here sometimes when refering the ponies and not people.

Nature's Spell 524 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 I have no problem with it in the show, or even used sparingly in posts, but I would never use it normal conversation.

Neon Fire 471 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 I don't mind it at all, however I don't think I'd ever say it IRL. Maybe at a Bronycon. Maybe.
RED20 287 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 Short answer? Yes. Also, I kind of thing brony is a stupid word, but not as bad as "pegasister" (no offense)

Suzaku 88 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 I kind of have a problem with it in the show because it seems to dismiss other sentient species as nearly being non-entities. I mean, having Spike use the term "everypony" is EXTREMELY awkward because, not being a pony, he is implicitly excluded. And since ponies clearly have bodies and standard numbers, using "everybody" or "everyone" would be perfectly acceptable. As for in the brony community, I take issue with it for the sheer fact that just because we are fans of the show does not make us ponies ourselves. Some bronies may not have a pony OC - they may have another species OC, or no OC at all. Therefore the term "everypony" seems implicitly exclusionary to them as well. It also seems to distance bronies from non-bronies, rather than being the all-inclusive "love and tolerate" group that we should be.
Heatwave 177 December 8, 2013 Share December 8, 2013 I've let it slip accidentally IRL a few times...xD No one really noticed though. I think it sounds sound. It rolls off the tongue nicely.
