She shrugged, "I guess it might've. It doesn't matter to much though, because the Lab put a mini generator in our room to power and charge their microcameras and biotest apparatus. Pretty standard, actually, " she adds, seeing his look,"I represent a large some of money, if nothing else. An investment of sorts. They would like to protect that investment. "

"I suppose I can understand that. Well, we may as well make use of it if we can." Rune said, leaning back, propping him self up with his arms. "So, what do you think everyone else will do with the lack of power? I mean, people will need to write papers and stuff, I know Koh said that he needed to write one, but knowing him, he's likely to just sleep it off."

@,As Daniel continued to walk around he noticed that, somehow, he had ended up back at the campus; and just in time to look through the windows as the lights went out completely.  Just then he began to run as fast as he could towards the entrance, his black trench-coat flailing behind him as he ran on towards the academy.  'Haven't had a complete blackout at the school in a while.' Daniel thought as he kept up his pace towards the academy doors, luckily it wasn't that far away and as he neared the doors, Daniel slowed his pace down to walking speed.  Daniel had reached the double glass doors of the academy, he rarely entered the building cautiously but now was an exception as he slowly opened one of the doors, letting in a flood of light, only to have it disperse as the door shut behind him.

Retrieving his box of matches and an emergency lantern near the front door, he struck the match until it burned a dark, purple flame and soon he lit the candle inside the lantern as he put out the match, threw it away and held up the lantern.  It was a fairly dim light, only able to illuminate about 20 feet in front and behind Daniel; but it was enough to see a more than a few students panicked, some were nervous, and besides that not much else.  'This day just keeps getting better.'  Daniel thought as he walked further into the academy, walking past two upper grade students who seemed to join him on his journey through the darkened hallways.  Daniel just hoped that other saw the semi-bright purple light of the lantern.

Nik blinked as the lights went out. Well, that was odd. Still, it wasn't anything too special. Living in the wilds for years had taught him many things, among them being how to navigate in the dark. Nik extended his claws with Sharpen and clung to the ceiling. Time for some more spying

Lhee

Of course with Lhee's luck, he was in a section of the inner part of the school where none of the windows reached when the lights went out.  One second the hall was well lit, the next second complete darkness.  Well, almost complete:  The two sail-like fins on Amaura's head were glowing with some soft, colorful lights.  He didn't really react to the sudden blackout - the little pokemon did.

"AMAUUUUUUUUURAAAAAAAA"  Flinching and trying to cover his ears at the loud scream from the little pokemon, Lhee drops to the ground behind her to place a hand on the little one's back.  "Hey, hey, calm down!  It's just the lights, stop screeching!"  As soon as Lhee was close enough for her to see him again she immediately quieted down, the little pokemon chirping happily before biting down playfully on the end of his skull.  With a loud sigh Lhee picks the pokemon up, trying to figure out which way he'd been going before the lights went out.  The glow from Amaura really didn't serve to do much other than illuminate a couple inches around him.  Using his bone club the way a blind man would use a cane, Lhee sighs and starts to try and find someone who knew what was happening with Amaura still sucking on the end of his skull.

Raiga

@@Ampharos,

Raiga blinks as the lights of the gym suddenly go out, turning to look at Mister Fernmint.  There was still a little bit of light coming from the window, plus a tell-tale glow of electricity seeming to come from the boy's claws.  "Uh, sir?  What was that?"  Raiga gets up from the bleacher where he'd been sitting, craning his neck back to look towards the now dark lights as he does.

Darius

Of course - The one time Darius had actually been going to get his paperwork done on time, the lights went out.  The Delphox professor took it as a sign that he should put the paperwork off for later.  Muttering under his breath he flicks his wrist so that his wand falls into his hand, holding it up in the air.  Suddenly a spout of flame bursts from the end of it, effectively turning the stick into a magical torch to light up his office.

"Why on a weekend?  If it'd happened during the week it would give me a valid reason to cancel class..."  Sighing quietly, Darius gets up to step out of his office and into the hallway.  He was a member of the staff - he had a responsibility to make sure none of the students were panicking or hurting themselves...

Zoey

@(The restaurant)

Zoe pauses whatever she had been about to say about Zach's eating habits when the lights dropped all of a sudden, her fox-like ears twitching a little.  As opposed to worry, the Zorua girl actually smiled and seemed a little excited.  "A blackout?  Do these happen often?"  She couldn't help herself.  She was a dark type, after all - she LIKED the dark.  She knew not everyone did, though...  So that meant she would have to try and help keep everyone's spirits up that didn't!

"Oh man, if there aren't any lights on in the Academy, just think of how many awesome pranks we could pull!  Oh Dusk, you're a ghost, you've TOTALLY gotta help me haunt the school!  It's going to be awesome!  Hehe, people's minds go to crazy places in the dark, my illusions are going to go off great!"

@,

Nik climbed on the roof of the gym, smirking as he made himself even harder to find. He briefly bit his lip, using Acupressure. While his version could only raise evasiveness, it was useful for sneaking. Moments later, his body was transparent and Nik hung from the rafters, spying on Raiga

"Really. I've been without power quite a bit before. I don't know if I ever told you about my home town, but I come from Fallarbor town in Hoenn." Rune said. "It's a farming town just north of an active volcano, so we have pretty fertile soil, but that also comes with the danger of an eruption and the ash that generally falls from the mountain lands in the town and the surrounding areas. It's fairly harmless once you get used to it, if you're new, you might have a coughing fit for a little bit, just due to the ash all over the place, but the ash can build up on the power lines and often would cause the cables to snap, knocking out our power. Luckily, because it's a farming town, we just went on with our business and it wouldn't affect much." He continued.

"I know as a young Ralts the power went go out, the mountain rumbled and I got scared, but my mother, who is a Gardevoir Gijinka, told me stories of the spirit of the mountain, Groudon. He sounded quite scary at the time, but my mother told me he protected all those who lived their lives on the land, and those who lived from the land, so he wouldn't let the mountain erupt and harm us." He thought about what he was saying for a second. "I don't know where I was going with that, but it felt somewhat appropriate. I actually miss the visits we'd have to the nearby town of Lavaridge. It was just on the other side of the mountain. It was actually where the fire type gym for Hoenn was, as well as the hot springs. I think you'd like it. I wish I could take you some time..."

Nico

Finally touching down on the school grounds, Nico transformed back into a regular Absol gijinka. He placed the Absolite back in his pocket. Putting his hood over his head, he walked into the school to be met with darkness. 'Oh. So that is what happened. Oh this is going to be fun!' Nico silently walked the corridors, trying to figure out some way of scaring the students, then he had an even better idea.

@

Using his map, he headed over to the gym. Looking up at the ceiling, he tried to spot the person he was looking for. His hoody and jeans as well as his grey face helped to hide him in the blacked out school.

Nik stood still as could be, trying to avoid detection. He had heard Nico coming in and was not in the mood to face anymore of Batman wannabe's crap. Nik sucked in his chest and wormed his way over a rafter, obscuring him from view completely. Batman wannabe would need X-Ray vision to find him

"Well, I don't know if your 'overseers' would allow it." Rune said dejectedly. "I suppose we could go for winter break, it's very relaxing. But as for the power plant, yeah there is a hydro plant near the town in a canyon. It's on the other side of town, so you can't really see it from here. But it's a bit of a journey to Hoenn, though I think we can make it, especially if we take one of the express ships, since Hoenn is pretty much one big island. We'd probably need to go to Castelia city here in Unova, then take a ship to Lilycove City in Hoenn, then take a bus to Lavaridge."

Dusk

Just as he was about to take a bite out of one of the appetizers, the power to the restaurant had been cut off surprising him quite a bit. He lifted his head and pulled the blindfold away from his eyes. This caused the glowing pinkish orb in his hallow eyes to practically light up the table they were sitting at as it's luminosity was quite vivid in the dark.

"That's definitely odd..." Dusk muttered as he looked towards the room full of questioning people as they too were confused about the whole dilemma. From his observations it seems that this WASN'T a common thing to happen. Upon hearing the mention of the School's situation he couldn't help but stand up as his thoughts began running through his mind for their next course of action.

He turned to Zoey when she had mentioned the Haunting of the Academy they could accomplish and chuckled at the thought.

"Well that would be loads of fun, but I think our best course of action would be to head back to campus. I'm sure they'll want to collect the students as soon as possible once they figured out just how serious this is. I read in the Official Academy Student Handbook on articles 35 sub section B, that upon the event of a power outage, all students are to remain calm and if located outside the school premises during an event of impact on a wide-scale caliber we are to head back to the School and wait for further instructions from Faculty members upon gathering in the Cafeteria, Common Room, or Gymnasium.....and yes I read the whole thing." Dusk said quite proud of his memorization.

"So let's pay this bill and head back to town yeah? I'm sure everything's going to be fine." Dusk said remaining calm and trying to organize their very much worrisome situation. Fun and dark hallway pranks can wait till later, he just needed to get them all back before they're all REALLY in trouble.

After some time had passed, Dusk took the bill for the meal and walked on toward the cashier and presented her with a grey debit card with Kanji showing on the card. However the cashier look a bit worried herself when he came up to the counter, maybe because of his appearance, but mostly because of the absence of Auxiliary Power to the store that enabled their machines useless to accept the money.

"S-sorry sir..? But the machine is down and we can't accept any bills at this time, I have however been notified from the manager to go ahead and let customers go free of charge. All the food might go bad soon without power to keep all the fish fresh." The cashier explained quite puzzled

"O-oh, gosh that's terrible..well thank you for the meal! Once the power becomes stable I'll come back and definitely pay for it." Dusk said feeling bad for eating for free. But nevertheless they were free to go as he motioned the others to follow suit after him as he walked out of the restaurant.

Jonathan

Jon was about to shut down the machine when out of nowhere, it did it for him as the power in the room had shut off. Jon sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.

"Great...now I gotta  re-calibrate this thing when the power starts up again...why did it go out anyway...I always keep the fuses to the breakers new...and Auxiliary Power should have come on by now...what's going on in this school..." Jon said as he contemplated and muttered to himself...however, his concentration was broken when the newly reborn Amuara screeched in fright. Jon turned his head and merely glared at the two kids and sighed once again.

"You head to the Common Room and light the fireplace. It's going to get cold tonight...tell any students you come across to head there as well or in the Cafeteria. Miss Claudia you go as well and keep the order...I'm going to find out what the hell is going on here..Let's go Shedzi- I...I mean Shedinja." Jon said as his transparent Ninjask wings revealed themselves from their hiding place and began to flap rapidly. The Shedinja companion held on tight to Jon's shoulder as they both lifted from the floor. Life a flash of lightning, Jon zoomed out of the room and headed into the halls in break necking speeds for any normal person.

Samantha

Samantha decided to follow the group and left a bit of cash on the table, at least covering the tip and a portion of the bill. They wouldn't accept cards and she did feel kind of bad for scarfing down all the egg rolls and a good portion of the food on the table.

As they left, she began to explain "Guys, sorry about swiping most of the food left on the table there. I have a reason for it though, my augs are powered by both electrical energy and chemical energy. Chemical energy from digesting food, and electrical energy from plugging in every night when I go to bed." Samantha explained. "The thing is, the augs are what's keeping me alive, so if they run out of power, that's it, and they have an emergency failsafe so that if I run too low on power, I'll go comatose for a while until I charge back up, kind of like how if a cell phone runs low on juice, it will still have enough power to show the screen with the blinking battery. If this power outage continues until, probably monday or tuesday, my lights will go out, literally. I'll probably need to stay in my room, because that's where my charging cord is." She held the to the mall open for everyone to leave. "So yeah, that's why I had to scarf down everything in sight in a nutshell."

Fernrmint sighed, panting slightly, and put the claymore he was wielding back into it's sheath. "Seems we have a power outage, Raiga. We should head out to see what's going on though." And with that, Fernmint began walking towards the doors to the gym.

Zach was swallowing a strip of salmon when all the lights went out. He sighed and made a couple noises before swallowing. "Wonderful. Just out luck huh?" Zach sighed again before standing up, waiting for everyone to leave.

Dustin said nothing as he stood up as well.

Matthew simply floated by everyone, ignoring them all and making his way back to the Academy.

Varrick continued to read on the roof, oblivious to all the lights suddenly going out.

@,@,

Fernmint turned around though to see the two boys from yesterday beginning to start something. His eyes had adjusted quickly, and it wasn't hard to make out the two in the dark.  "Hey! Stop right now! I hope you weren't planning on doing anything after school for the rest of the week because this is what you'll be doing what you're currently supposed to be doing for the rest of the week." He walked straight into the middle of them and took out a sword, using Leaf Blade to create a low light that would easily allow them to see Fernmint.
