Dustin bit his lip slightly as he watched Samantha walk away and the Smeargle boy teleport away. He then shoved the notepad in his pocket and ran to catch up to Samantha. "I uh... guess I could use some outside time..." 

 

"Alright then." Samantha said, leading Dustin to the front gate. "So, what are you planning on doing in town? Just wandering around? Going get some local cuisine or whatever? I'm planning on seeing if they have any good restaurants or whatever." She said. As they arrived at the front gate, they saw the group of other kids. And Nik. "Nik, I think the fact that you came up behind her out of nowhere makes it perfectly acceptable for her to retaliate. It was a reflex after all, it's not like she knew you were there until you were creepily close to her."

"You're right. I didn't get punched by Amaya. You did. Besides, its rude to call Amaya a turkey." Melissa smirked at Nik and tapped her foot repeatedly. She looked at the direction of Samantha's voice. "Oh hi Samantha. Looks like Dustin is coming as well. I'm Melissa." She stuck her hand out so that Dustin can shake it.

Dustin shrugged. "Uh... I'm not sure. Restaurants would be cool. Different food and stuff. Could be interesting." At the sight of the Smeargle boy, Dustin's ears drooped down. He isn't actually coming with us is he? He noticed the hand that was in front of him and gingerly shook it. "D-Dustin..."

Zach's face contorted into an angry frown and he grabbed Nik by the collar of his shirt, pulling him quite close to him. "I don't ever want to here you calling Amaya a turkey. Ever. Again. Suspension is the least of my worries mind you, so don't bet on me being scared of that. So I suggest you stop acting like a toddler and go back inside."

Zach couldn't take it. The oppurtunity was right there. That smug face, right in front of him. He let go of Nik with one of his hands...

 

 

 

And used it to punch him in the nose. There had been quite a fair amount of force behind it, possibly enough to cause a nosebleed, but maybe not enough to break it, assuming Nik didn't somehow manage to squeeze out of Zach's fairly tight grip and avoid it. Zach immediately dropped Nik with his other hand and stepped back. "Aw fuck..." he mumbled. His anger had gotten the best of him. Cedric would have been so disappointed...

"Uh... no not re-" Dustin winced and stopped mid sentence as the confrontation began heating up. "Maybe we should all just calm down..."

"Okay. I won't-" Melissa stopped speaking when she heard Zach punch Nik. She doused the both of of them with Water Gun. Hopefully that will stop them from fighting. Melissa never finished her sentence, so techincally, she wasn't breaking any promises.

Amaya took a leading step from the Academy steps, hopping into the air with her wings. Flying was much better than walking, always always. She always felt much safer in the sky than she ever would with her feet planted firmly on the ground.... Well, except for when dancing.

She twirled back around to ask Dusk something important, but her words fell soundless from her mouth when Nik appeared again, curled up on the floor like a little kid, crying for an apology.

 

A hurt expression crossed her face as he threw around unnesscarily harsh words.  T-turkey?! I....I'm not a turkey..

And apparently it had bothered Zach more than enough as well. He suddenly grabbed Nik by his collar, Nik retorted and then BOOM SHINIER IN THE NOSE! 

 

Okay, okay. It made Amaya a little happy that Zach would defend her. But now she was absolutely panicked that he would get in trouble. For a moment she just hovered, flustered and worried. But she swallowed the feelings as best she could, and let herself drop right between the two boys. she pushed them away from each other.

 

"T-t-time to stop, right... right this instant....R-right now! Or, or I'll get angry!" She sounded about as confident as a introvert giving a speech. Her voice was wavering.

Somewhere in the Science Wing of the school, a certain spectral beauty felt the sudden urge to smile.  I feel like someone just got what they had coming to them...

Nik grabbed his nose, whining in pain. "AW, DAMNIT!" Nik whined, only feeling more pain as Water Gun slammed into him.

"See, this is why I am a lone wolf" Nik said, his words slurred from the blood in his mouth. He spat out a bit of it to get his words right. "It always ends up with accidental team shots" Nik groaned.

"Angry?!" Nik screamed, having had enough crap within 5 minutes to have made him go insane 5 times over. "I am not in the mood for any of your pissing and moaning!" Nik growled, his eyes blood-shot from the Water Gun. He had long passed the threshold for rational thinking. "So listen carefully and listen well! Shut up, you whiny c*nt" Nik hissed, suddenly looking mortified. Even Nik had limits, and he had just shattered his. "I-i'm sorry" Nik whined, grinding his skull on the floor as he groveled

Samantha saw Nik get punched in the nose and decided to stop this before it got worse. She activated the Quicksilver Reflex Booster and stood between them, grabbing Zach and Nik and pushing them both to the ground, pressing her arms against their necks. "Enough." She said, dead serious. From this position, all it would take was just a bit more pressure to snap their vertebrae. "Now I'm going to let go of both of you, and I want you to apologize to each other, and go your seperate ways."

Yes, he shouldn't have done that to that Swanna girl, I haven't heard her name yet, but either way, socking him in the nose was uncalled for. I don't want to see this get any worse, now apologize, and go your separate ways." Samantha said, grabbing both of them by their collars, but still keeping pressure on their backs.

Zach's eyes had quite literally turned red at Nik's final comment before he found himself on the ground thanks to Samantha. With a surprisingly larger than he expected amount of effort, he managed to make his way out of Samantha's grasp and stood up. "I'm not apologizing Samantha. No matter what you do, I'm not apologizing. But Nik, I suggest you go inside. Right now. You're lucky I haven't strangled you yet. And pretty soon, nobody's going to be able to stop me from actually doing it."

Zach raised an eyebrow at Nik. "Nik. I'm angry, not mentally handicapped. And while I won't actually strangle you, I would give you a black eye. But you've already made me ruin everyone's day, so I'd prefer to keep it as is." 

 

Dustin sort of stood off to the side, twirling his thumbs and keeping his head down. He had to admit, the jerk deserved it. Anyone who called someone a turkey and a c word and taunted Marowaks about their mothers deserved a good punch in the face.

Dusk

 

Dusk was also about to lead the group forward into action by walking outside the gates. Until suddenly He whipped his gaze back and heard the loud impact of Zach's punch against Nik. Shit! Zach was losing it....just like He did yesterday. He knew he had to stop something terrible from happening and for getting this any worse than it did. Darn! Why did it all go wrong already! Why couldn't they just have a good first weekend together like normal students! That's just it! They weren't normal! Dusk's teeth gritted as he pulled away the blindfold from his eyes revealing his hallowed ones, he was more than pissed himself that Nik had the GULL to call Amaya what he did.. But before Dusk was about to do anything...he saw that Samantha had her hands grasping both guy's necks.

 

Dusk stood in horror as he watched her demand the fight to stop before it got any worse. He clenched his fist and looked towards the ground. He needed to do something...but what could he do? Amaya herself was hoping things could calm down as well. He closed his eyes and breathed in deeply to calm himself down. He wouldn't be able to handle the situation unless he was calmed down.Dusk brought his hands up...1...2...3...BOOP Dusk had forgotten Shadow Sneak and learned Mean Look. After that last comment from both Nik and Zach he knew he had to step in.

 

Walking up to both Zach and Nik he placed his hands on both of their shoulders so they can get a good look of his face. Immediately using Mean Look he stared at both Nik and Zach in the eyes. The intense glare and the creepy hollowness his eyes could possess at the same time could frighten children enough to gain the title of the new boogeyman. Hell it could scare off touch Machamps if he wanted to.

 

"Let's not do this...we have the day ahead of us....let's not ruin it...Zach...we're going to leave and not give a damn anymore...Nik...you really want to see a Pissed of Dusk? Then fuck...off..." He said calmly, yet you can feel the heavy tension in his voice. He pushed them both away slightly and began to walk away with Mean Look's effects still quite active and looming.

 

"Let's go. NOW!" He sort of demanded from those joining his little getaway group as he began walking out of the entrance and onto the side of the road in the direction of the Town nearby.

She sighed and got behind Nik and took his arm, hit him in the solar plexus with her elbow, and flipped him over her arm, slamming him on the ground. "I do." Samantha said, coldly. She hoisted his limp body on to her shoulder and carried him on her shoulder and sat him down near the front door. "I don't want to see any more of your little squabbles. I was designed to be efficient. I will not hesitate to do that again if I need to. Now sit there, and leave us alone." She said, glaring at Nik.

"Well." Samantha said, huffing and brushing her hair out of her eyes. "Let's hope I don't have to do that again. We ready to leave? I've got my pocketbook and I'm ready to go myself." She said, rolling her neck. 'Hopefully he'll leave us alone now. I'd hate to have to bring out the micro-blades.' She thought.

Zach blinked and frowned at Dusk's gaze. He felt like he couldn't move, or leave, or do much anything. It was like he was paralyzed... No he knew what that felt like. This was different. As Dusk walked away, he felt the effects only continue to work, but Zach managed to begin walking towards him. He rubbed his eyes as he walked away from Nik and put his hand on Dusk's shoulder. "Hey, I'm sorry man. I didn't mean to lash out like that. I didn't mean to ruin this this quickly..."

 

Dustin whimpered silently at the rest of the events going on. Samantha was starting to look like a total badass, but it was still hard to take in what was going on. He simply went ahead and followed closely behind Dusk and the Smaurott boy.

Amaya flinched, staring down at him with wide, hurt-filled eyes. In all actuality, she'd never been cussed at before.  Quite the opposite actually! People seem to just adore the cute little daughters of successful business men and women. Instead of getting mad, or crying, she just looked down at him. Groveling and being pinned down, his nose practically broken and probably his pride broken as well.  Maybe she pitied him? He always put on such a cocky air, but cracked in the face of actual threats. But the first, up most thing she felt was hurt. Her expression changed to a sad, almost expressionless one. She watched silently as Dusk seemed to bring the whole thing to an end. Oh. Oh, thank Arcues, thank Mew. As Dusk passed her on his march towards the exit, she took his big hand and squeezed it tightly. She was thanking him. But almost as soon as she took his hand in hers she was letting go of it, letting him continue on.

 

Her voice was quiet as she spoke, looking only for a moment at Nik before her gaze settled on Zoe, patiently waiting for her to catch up.

" Nik....  Go back inside." With a small flick of her wrist, she sent a small Aqua Ring sailing at his bruised and bloodied nose. 

 

Let me get something straight. Nik made her feel really really really really uncomfortable, and she disliked him very strongly. Even more now that he had used such hurtful words towards her. But still, she hated the thought of leaving someone injured. As soon as the aqua Ring did its job, she ignored him, all her attention on Zoe.

Zoey blinks, her ears flat against her head.  Once again she'd stood by uselessly as things happened around her - she was starting to think actual confrontations really weren't her thing.  She always seemed to freeze up when things like this happened.

 

The situation seemed to be diffusing and everyone was leaving by now.  Feeling fairly pathetic about having stood by while everyone else dealt with the situation, Zoey races to catch up with Amaya with her tail tucked between her legs.  She slips an arm around her friend's shoulders, one of her ears flicking just a little bit.  "You...  You okay?"

As Amaya grabbed Dusk's hand and let it go he felt tons relieved that he settled the matter quite calmly...though....that technique of his was super strong...you can say it was super effective. He'd probably have to use it sparingly less he became more of a monster than a ghost. As Zach grabbed his shoulder Dusk tied the blindfold to his eyes once again and looked back at him with a soft smile.

 

"We all have our moments...hell I did more than once...don't worry about it pal. Let's just kick this day off in the right direction yet again." He said showing a small grin as he continued to lead the group away from the school. They would probably have to deal with the possibility of another situation happening...He needed to be ready in order to take responsibility. 

 

"Sorry I blew a fuse guys! Let's have a grand 'ol time!" He said waving back at the others in their group. Though he was a little happy he got his spooky edge back...at least for a minute.

Melissa took her hood off and gave a saddened look to Nik. She quietly followed behind the group and waited to see if something else would come up. "What are we going to do when we get there guys? Look around, try to get a feel for it? There's gotta be something to do there." Melissa piped up.

 

 

Nico

 

Getting tired of running around the back alleys, Nico stood in front of a wall, trying to figure out the best way to get up it. He quickly found a handhold and climbed his way to the top of the building. Sitting on the edge, he looked over the town and tried to sense where the disaster would happen.
