I checked the search forum stuff, and I didn't see anything that was dedicated to Frozen. Anyway, I hope there is none. XD

What are your thoughts on the movie? What do you like/ dislike about it? Some spoilers may be ahead. Have caution.

For me, I personally think that this is one of the best Disney movies by far aside from Up. The music was amazing, the story was pretty good by adding twists into obvious moments, and I just love the character models! :D In essence, I'm fanboying this movie. :P

I thought it was a great movie, filled with catchy songs and awesome animation. It had some nice plot twists, and likeable characters.

It doesn't surprise me that I liked it. I also enjoyed Wreck it Ralph, and Tangled who were made by the same people who did Frozen.

Even if I didn't like anything else (Which I totally did), I love the fact that for once the princess doesn't have to be saved by a princes' love, but instead her own families' love. I mean, I loved everything else, but I'm glad Disney didn't go down the 'saved by a prince' route again.

It was glorious, one of the better Disney movies. Though the fanbase Hans has is enormous as Hell

Anyway, I'm surpised we haven't seem more PMVs of it yet

I saw it a few days ago, and I was impressed. I thought it was one of the best Disney films I've seen in a while. It has really nice character designs (I really liked Elsa and Anna's in particular), and the songs are incredible (especially "Let It Go.") The story, humor, and visuals were very good as well; making an all around great movie. Considering this was made by the same people who made Wreck-It Ralph and Tangled, and I really liked both of the movies as well; I look forward to seeing more movies from them.

Yeah! I really liked Wreck-it Ralph and Tangled as well. Though not Tangled as much as Wreck-it Ralph, it was still a very good movie! :D I wish I will be able to see more from these wonderful creators. :3

I saw this on opening day, and it was fantastic. I only wanted to see Idina Menzel in her performance as Elsa, but I ended up with much more. I like how the day is saved by the love between sisters, I like how the twist with Hans goes, I like how the chemistry between Anna and Kristoff is implied to blossom after the events of the movie, I like all of the characters (especially Elsa and Kristoff) and I like the music. Yes. Even Fixer Upper. All around great movie. I don't care what Tumblr has to say to that.

@,

So you don't like the movie? Tumblr loved the movie, the amount of ask blogs popping up is insane

No. I love the movie, but some parts of Tumblr have been bitching about how all of the characters are white or anti-feminist. There was also an article put out before the release of this film from one of the main animators at Disney that basically had him saying that women are difficult to animate for them since they have to keep them pretty at all times, but they have to have a certain range of emotions. That statement was probably the worst received out of all of them.

However, now that the film has been released for a month, it's been getting a lot of positive attention and love from a good chunk of Tumblr, especially towards Elsa as a character.

I read that article as well. I think it was Disney who also confirmed that their statement was misinterpreted. I'm not quite sure about the details anymore. I forgot. XD

I love Elsa as well! I liked her character, and I also liked how awesome and badass she is. She's my favorite character by far in the movie. She's also rather beautiful.

If you have the link of the confirmation/press release from Disney, I'd like to see what they have to say on the situation.

As for Elsa, she was the best part of the movie. Her song, characterization, and complex relationship with her sister pretty much made the movie. (She is gorgeous, isn't she?) Also, being played by Idina Menzel doesn't hurt.

I believe these are the links. Wikipedia helped me find them. XD Anyway, yeah. Elsa is so amazing. :D I liked how it wasn't a prince and princess thing also for Anna. My friend I was watching with expected that (I watched the movie like twice when I watched with him) and then when I said "just wait" then it went to the last scene, he was pretty shocked.

I liked the singing of Idina Menzel. :P One of the things I can say about her. XD I downloaded the full OST of Frozen. I even have a whole playlist dedicated to it on my iTunes! I kinda just listen to the songs from time to time when I feel bored or when I feel like I have a lack of it in my life. Hue.

It's a nice change of pace from what Disney usually does. In terms of serious progression with other forms of family entertainment, they've got to take one step at a time. The heroines have become more and more independent with time, see.

You do know that Idina is a Broadway musical star, right? Best known for Wicked? If you like her singing, check out some of the songs from that. I think you'll like them a lot.

Frozen. What can I say?

Me and my family (scratch my little brother, who doesn't like most family movies) went to see the movie one day, and I expected a fairly ordinary Disney movie. Not a BAD movie, just... ordinary. The usual stuff.

Boy was I wrong. The movie was an overall amazing movie, and I appreciate all of the effort put into it.

...

...

... With that said...

I feel that cerebus syndrome struck too soon too quickly. The movie, and even the trailers leading up to the movie, make it feel like a simple light-hearted comedy. And don't get me wrong, I know it had some funny moments, but those were really more comedic relief than an actual setting for the tone of the movie. Most of the movie beyond the start of the conflict actually felt VERY cold-hearted (no pun intended), and while I DO like darkness in moderation, it got too dark, too quickly, and the whole while I just couldn't believe how bad a Disney movie was making me feel. And no, I'm not labeling that as a good thing. Not to say it's bad to make the viewers feel bad for the protagonist, but for me, it was just too much to pull out so soon and so drastically.

I also have a bone to pick with the movie's antagonist.

I know this may sound contradictory to what I said prior, but the plot would have been SO much more interesting if Hans actually HAD been a nice guy. But of course, it's Disney. That's not really my main problem here. My problem is that they INTENTIONALLY downgraded what could have been an interesting dynamic and dropped it down to a two-dimensional villain wanting the throne. The twist was pulled out good... perhaps... TOO good. They made him too nice in the moments before, and we had very little foreshadowing or even the slightest hinting that he was evil, so when he suddenly pulls away from that kiss, I know that at least I was rolling my eyes that they didn't even bother trying to hint at his meaner side. I mean, no, I'm not saying they should show him give an evil grin in the dark, or sing a song about his true plans, but... something. Something even subtle. I really would have appreciated SOME hinting.

And lastly... what's up with all those unanswered questions? Why is Kristoff alone with Sven? What's Kristoff's problem with other people? How did Kristoff meet Sven? What are the origins of Elsa's powers, and why was she born with them? Why do the trolls have an affiliation with the royal family? How do their mystical powers work, and how are they connected to the powers Elsa was born with? And why the hell did Olaf come to life? That last one REALLY bugs me.

... But all those issues aside, it was still an interesting movie, and I do think it was worth the watch.

I have seen it

twelve times

so far

and I'm not close to done

I expected it to be bloody awful (totallydidn'twanttoseeitsincethetrailersespeciallysincelsawaslikereallyhot), but it was simply fantastic. It wasn't really what I was expecting - the romantic aspect was a lot different than the normal Disney fare, as much as I loved Tangled. They're really improving with their style, now, and certainly doing better than Pixar as of late. (Brave was incredibly unmemorable, though I did really enjoy Monsters U).

ANYWAYS

It's really good, only gripe I would have was song pacing, but they were all catchy and well put together. It also had a more realistic theme than any of their other movies, LOL.

SPOILERS

I know some people were pissed about the whole Hans thing but it's Disney dammit there's crazy-ass archetypes. I mean, I felt that was made up for by the fact that it didn't end with Kristoff and Anna being "true loves" and him saving her, since that's what normally happens - it was nice that is was more about family > romance.

Yep! I knew that. I'm just appreciating it even more this way. :P I feel that way within me, I want a sequel to this movie. But then again, I don't think there will be one just like some other movies that Disney made. It's sad to see that we won't be seeing Anna or Elsa in the upcoming movies. I hope we will! :D
