writing Journey of love.

It's been for to long since my last completed poem.

I hope that you enjoy to read this as much as I have to write it.

A journey ending only as life.

Ending when you least expect it to.

Wait for the one to guide you.

Take your hand and pull you through.

The warm embrace of a loved one.

A hug so tight, hoping to never end.

Peck on the lips and feelings shared.

To know that one is yours alone.

Tears are shed, both happy and sad.

Trailing down your innocent face.

A smile spreads, heart beats fast.

Give him your heart to hold.

Wish for it to last, avoid a break.

Another crack would be deadly.

Piece by piece it splits up.

Only dust is left as pain grows.

The broken heart and soul is gone.

Left for time to consume it all.

Nothing but remnants of pain remains.

Wishing only to find love once more.

Poems of love are definitely out of my comfort zone, so I can't really share insight on a personal level, what I can however comment on is the narrative of this poem. I felt that it was a bit bouncy for a depiction of a journey as those never start with a sort of summary which you provide at the very start, perhaps if you alter the verse order and try to create more atmospheric travel rather than setting an overall tone at the beginning.

Besides that little nitpickery I think this is a nice poem, very grounded.
