You hit it on the mark with the majority of the bad fans. Many do come from the /MLP/ board or Reddit. Because many think they're too special for liking the show and must tell everybody about it.

 

Especially funny when you realize /mlp/ likes to pride themselves as the "normal fans" and look down on people for being to enthusiastic about the show while being some of the worst elitests in the fandom. I don't hate them(and I know they've done some good things with charities and such) but I think they need to remove the sticks form their collective asses

Hmm I dunno, tbh never tried them as they've been the center for some of the stuff I've seen about and quoted as such.

Including the "love and tolerance" thing thats really been a bane on the fandom as opposed to a boon, by setting a standard that cannot be achieved.

Topping it is usually the major hubs like that end up being a negative influence when run by fans for fans :/

Equestria Daily is just a blog/news site that puts out pony and brony related news like new episodes, updates on fics and other fan projects, comics, new merch, and really anything that might be of interest to us bronies.

 

I really have no idea why everyone hates them so much because EqD is actually a really damn good fan-site.  

 

They even started a drive to flood a certain twitter tag(I think it was ThankYouDHX) with positive messages and thank yous to help counter the stress of all bullshit the staff were catching for EqG and Twicorn and show them we didn't all hate them.

The fandom part of tumblr is far more tolerant than the rest of tumblr.

Can't speak for others, but like I said, usually a site like that is spotlighted as being the source of a lot of things that are used negatively against others within the fan base.

I'll give them a peek though and see whats about.

 

But it still doesn't make me any less annoyed (not angry mind you) about the "DJ-Pon3" name... Good stage handle, terrible name. But of those that were apparently optional in that poll, it definitely was the best.. But such terrible names all... And watching/reading some of the other Vinyl Scratch based things, I see others think the same very much (such as in some vids she answers her phone as "DJ-Pon3", but is reffered to by friends as "Vinyl". This makes me happy   But it grinds my eyes seeing it on all her official merch...  )

I get that there are legit reasons to not like bronies. But to go out of your way to make a facebook group, wish death upon them just for enjoying a cartoon not specifically targeted towards their demographic is going way too far and makes them sound worse then the people they are attacking. Especially if one of them is a mother. I feel sorry for the mother's children. They could just be trolls looking for attention just to get a reaction out of the fandom. If they are then they really got to much time on their hand and should really do something better with their life.

I still may be obsessed with fake magic from playing persona games, but I like to think of the anti-bronies as the "Fool" arcana and then bronies as the "Judgement" arcana, lol that's why I made it my username. But on a serious note, the anti-bronies, in the middle of their hatred of MLP: FIM they will eventually find a faint liking for the show. Even if it is just a small liking of the show, hating something so much will eventually create that "Frein-emy" bond where you hate something but at the same time you love it. Trust me, it always happens. That is why we should give it a few years, you know, let the anti-bronies mature a little and let others enjoy something that they don't. They don't realize that not even 10% of the bronies are "cloppers", but yet they try to group us ALL into that category. It is like how people hate homosexuals even though homosexuals have done NOTHING AT ALL TO THEM. It's ignorance at its finest.

Yeah that was a bad idea. The haters are accusing all bronies of being pedos and beasties. not good for my heart nor my lack of anger control. Left the group a nice love/hate message about how they should learn tolerence and how our species is just a virus that'll destory everything unless itself is destroyed. Unfortunately that last part is more realistic (research based) than being a negative jerk. A good buch of us dream to change that and despite knowing the truth I'm one of them (so please somewhat ignore that part as it was only mentioned cuz it was the hate part of my message). Hopefully I got to them but I'm gonna put money on it backfirig cuz that's just how my luck is (again realism not negativity).

The only person that has the ability to adapt to a new liking is you (yourself). After 3 years of being annoyed by my brony friends at school, I finally cracked. I know people that could manage to hate something their entire life and never give in. It all starts with just one (preferably Season 1 or 2 IMO) episode and that could be enough to make them like it. Forcing the show on them, however will just make them hate on bronies more. This is why I DON'T use facebook/Twitter/Instagram/ bother fighting with people on youtube. Maybe if every brony could just express their love for the show on sites like this, then there wouldn't be issues. It is sad to stoop that low but if that is what has to happen, then we will (possibly) get the peace and harmony feeling that MLP gave to us. Then one day they will be like "Hmm, who were those people we hated on so much for no apparent reason but just for our own sick amusement?" They can forget about us and we can forget about them. Isolation isn't the best way to find peace but at least it will stop the fighting.

Backing down? As a solution? I'm all for giving people space but they aren't physically trying to murder us. The military isn't after us, cia not capturing us. They have no threats against us. In fact I'd say all the biting and growling is actually them acting in fear, in fact I bet that's all it is. This is only two separate packs going at it. We need to learn to not be as forceful while they need to learn to tolerate. We're all stuck in the same area and each pack needs to make our boundary lines while we yet share the space. As far as it goes until they go on the offensive and overpower our fandom, our fandom should just stand it's ground and try to compromise. Give them ground and they won't stop til bronies have gone the way of dinosaurs. This isn't a fight but if it doesn't get settled with some good old fashioned compromising from both sides it will be. They'll see our unwillingness to folod under them as a threat and attempt to scare us or take us out. In time it will spread from the virtual space of the web to real world streets. It's been done with other things before. Our best bet is to be ready for the worst and to hope for the best. What we need is a representative from both the non bronies and our own to settle things as peacefully as possible. 

 

p.s. you're all gonna say I'm getting to into this but trust me, when/if it all goes south, it may not hit the streets but it still won't end pretty.

I wanted to add to my reply to this, I don't think brony pride is a bad thing, it's just there's a good and bad way to show it and most of these people are guilty of the bad way(as in, they're obnoxious about it instead of just having fun with it and showing how much they love it in creative ways)
