music Devo and/or Kraftwerk thread, anypony?

Alright, Spuds, lets talk about two of the most awesome (and sadly underrated bands) ever!

I couldn't decide if i should make a separate thread for them for not...

BUT ANYWAY, HERE'S SOME QUESTIONS!!

 

Who is your favourite band memeber (DEVO or Kraftwerk) and why?

What is your favourite album or song from either band?

Kraftwerk are pretty cool. I don't really have a favourite member but my favourite album is probably Man-Machine.

I couldn't tell you anything about the band members as I'd never thought of either them as anything other than unified group.  I'd list Devo's best as Freedom of Choice and Kraftwerk's Man-Machine. I will say that both band can put on a hell of a show still.

Kraftwerk is perhaps one of the greatest, most influential bands of all time! 

 

My favorite album of theirs is "Trans-Europe Express", followed by "Computer World" and their live album "Minimum-Maximum".

 

And of course you can never go wrong with...

Really weird seeing Devo in the same thread as Kraftwerk.... but... okay.

 

Kraftwerk are incredible and they're pretty much grandfathers of Electronic music. I have their Man Machine album.

Never heard anything from Devo, but I'm a fan of Kraftwerk's Man-Machine. I've also listened to Autobahn, but not quite as frequently. The 22-minute title track from that album is an excellent soundtrack for driving, and I have fond memories of it for that reason.

Yes!! Autobahn! It's really long but it's SO worth the listen.

unfortunately when The Mix (Remastered) came out it was shortened to a few minuets

Devo I'm not familiar with aside from their novelty "Whip It" but Kraftwerk has some really good ones.

Pretty, moody and wintry. I love this song. As does Coldplay (see "Talk")
