So idk if you guys heard, but Twitch is currently doing a live event, currently in it's 4th day, where currently 70,000 people simultaneously play one game of Pokemon through Twitch chat shout-outs. A chat bot then takes those commands, and inputs them into the emulator. They have gotten around half way through the game like this, and still chugging along!

I saw this yesterday. Last I saw they were only at Brock (or looked like Brock, maybe it was Misty considering the water) but the character was going in circles for a good five minutes straight.

They're actually accomplishing a surprising amount. They've beaten Erika, and have evolved their Judas Eevee.

Edit: There iws a battle in the Pokemon Center right now. Half the people seem to want to heal the team. While the other half want to retrieve the Helix Fossil from the pc

I've taken to muting the stream music, and putting on my own. It's currently playing the Pinna Park theme from Sunshine, and it's pretty damn funny watching whirl around with that music.

But, the fact that they have actually made some decent progression is quite fascinating. I find myself checking it every now and then just to see what dumb luck happens next.

WAY longer than that. They took like 12 hours to get through one ledge.

It's incredibly exciting when something does get done though. I saw when they cut the tree to exit Erika's Gym, and it was the most mundane thing ever, but I was like "YEAH WOOOOO! THEY'RE DOING IT! THEY'RE GOING TO BE POKEMON MASTERS!"
