Netbook Question

Well I have a bit of a question here... My main laptop that I use for photoshop well is not operable as of right now. Now I have a HP Mini 210 netbook and I also have Adobe White Rabbit/Photoshop Cs5 on there. But whenever I go to save a file I can't due to the netbook's screen resolution being so small. Does anyone know if Gimp or if there is any way around this? Is there another photo editing program I can use on a netbook and save files?

You're using the HP mini 210? As far as I know, there is a VGA port on the side. Most flat panel TVs have a VGA in if you don't have a spare monitor.

I refuse to let go until you're impressed.

I have a 1440x900 monitor I don't use. Connects over VGA. If only I could sell things to other members on here because I've been wanting to offload it since last year because I got this laptop with a significantly higher resolution than it now :|

I'll probably pick up some cheap monitor for the time being... there is a this thrift store where I live that has a couple of dell monitors for like 19$... I am hard on money atm so trying to just stay with cheap atm.

It'd probably be better to just buy one of those, because I'd probably make you pay the 6.7% Massachusetts sales tax and shipping+handling too :P

The monitor works, it's just that I don't need it anymore... I have a 1920x1080 screen.

sol indeed...Well I guess you can find someone who has an old monitor? I got a 1440 x 900 Dell monitor from my old roommate for $25. Maybe you can find something like that to substitute in the meantime?

Maybe you and Daring could get in touch with each other and work out this deal? lol We have the internet. It's very possible to do things like sell stuff to people who live across the country nowadays xD

In the meantime, I wish you the best of luck ;)

That is glorious... the highest resolution screen I have had is on my other laptop and that is 1366  x 768 lol. I've been really been wanting to invest in a nice desktop computer sometime.

Lol and that screen resolution is still better than anything I have had. Time to really start saving and well money has been tight.

It definitely is glorious.

Add me on Skype and we can work a deal out if you want, but I'll leave it up to you if you want to buy my 1440x900 monitor off of me (to which I will be grateful as it's just taking up space now) or buy a higher-res monitor locally. It's an old monitor, from around 2007, so I won't charge much for it, but if you want to get something like it without needing to invest your trust in some guy from the northeast you don't really know to send you a monitor so you can use Photoshop then that's fine with me.

By all means, do it. I had to sell a lot of junk on eBay and cut back in a lot of places to build mine, but a good desktop is definitely worth the investment.

I'll add you on skype anyways :) but thanks for the help from both of you. I know... using photoshop on a netbook sounds really silly and it is. But its all I got at the moment so yup.
