My personal opinion is: no I don't agree, me having friends has not made anything magic both metaphorically and literally. Who needs friends, they only seem to get in the way of things.

It's how the foundation of the friendship and what the friends actually do in the relationship. You don't have to take it metaphorically or literally anyway.

Yes I think it kinda is, without the very few friends that I had in school I simply don't know what would have happened to me. The friends that I made are absolutely precious to me, maybe even the most important thing in the world for me.
