technology Help with something on Word 2007

Okay so I was typing a research paper on word 2007 and I was trying to format the page numbers and I can't have a page number on the first page, so I clicked different first page. But whenever I try to put say page 2, it will say page 2 for all of them. How do you make it so they all say a different page number?
