Because they have to learn that 1: There are peaceful ways to resolve conflicts and 2: To tech them the devastating costs of going to war.

I'd rather end both, but if I had to choose, I would say "world hunger". I'm pretty sure starvation kills far more people than cancer world-wide, and including kids... no contest. Plus those who suffer from cancer are generally well off enough to pay for treatment... when it is effective.
