Appleloosa 90 March 3, 2014 Share March 3, 2014 Well, I just had my first of two junior proms this year (my date and I go to different schools so 2 junior proms!) and I gotta say, it was pretty awesome! My next is this next Saturday and I cant wait! The first was alot of fun, full of friends, dancing and Lil Jon's music haha. I know this is usually around the time schools have their junior proms or "formals" as I've heard they're also called. So I ask, how were your guy's/girl's junior prom experiences? How was spending time with your date? Anything exciting happen? What were you hoping for to happen, and did it come true? How were the after parties? Id love to know! UserNotFound 964 March 3, 2014 Share March 3, 2014 Well because I went to school in Britain we didn't really have junior proms and formals and stuff... And there was no pressure to get a date... If you were with someone you stayed with them but if you were single it wasn't a stigma... But at my high school leavers do (I was 16) one thing did happen that was quite hilarious... So I wore a floorlength black dress and had my hair (brunette) curled and pinned up slightly... I went to the bar to get a drink and stood beside a teacher who was also in a similar black gown, who was brunette, about my height and had curled hair... Anyways this sports teacher comes over to us and taps me on the shoulder and asks me to dance... I turn around in horror and the teacher beside me turns around too... And laughs! His face was a picture! He was like... Oh no! I'm so sorry I thought you were Miss Smart! (My friends died of laughter when I told them) and last I heard the teachers still tease him about his blunder in the staff room >_< Still I guess it was a compliment that I looked so grown up from behind xD 2 . Ribbonfree 2,383 March 3, 2014 Share March 3, 2014 Well, I had my highschool prom, which turned out to be awesome! I even had a date, and boy, it was an experience I'll never forget. Here's a pic: What a MAN I went to my formal with friends because I was borderline antisocial in my high school years and had no official date. It was quite fun, if a bit depressing because lol no love life. I also proved to have some of the most OP dance moves out of my graduating class, so I got a little notoriety for that afterwards, ahaha.

Champion RD92 8,658 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 I didn't go to junior prom, but I went to senior ball, which was basically like junior prom except it was senior year lol. I didn't have a date cause I was too scared to ask any girls haha, but I hung out with a few friends and it was pretty fun anyway.
ghostfacekiller39 23,860 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 (edited) We had our Junior formal back on the 18th of February. Didn't go I dunno...my enthusiasm for participating in my school's extra-curricular activities has waned pretty significantly...I just don't want to be around those dreadful people anymore I go to school, am quiet and keep to myself; I don't even sit at a lunch table anymore. I sit in the hallway by myself and screw around on the forums and other pony-based sites from my phone Not that I mind; being alone never bothered me anyway So, yeahh, didn't go purely do to a lack of interest Edited March 4, 2014 by ghostfacekiller39 1 He who is Positively Obsessed With All Things Rarity!!! Castle Bleck 19,361 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 (...) Not that I mind; being alone never bothered me anyway (...) Me either. The only reason it would even remotely depress me is what others would say (Then again, I could just lie to them.). 1 By Emerald.↑
MLPForums Phanact 1,374 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 I had my prom last year. It was really funny when we got there because we ended up listening to the most ghetto music and we're a catholic school as well. Me and my friends eventually just got bored and left and instead of getting drunk like everyone else, we went to a fried chicken joint and ate so much chicken let's love for me and lets love loud and let's love now cause soon enough we'll die
Wade Barrett 111 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 My prom after finishing Secondary School (in the UK). Ah, man, the memories. We were at Wynyard Hall or something, some large, grand hall in the middle of a forest. Grand, big, fabulous, and a huge forest out back where you could walk paths and sit by a river. - Just walking out around the trails in our posse one last time. Me, Kieran, Rob, Jason, Dave, a few others, it was amazing. Although it was dark so we kept stopping because we couldn't see shit. - Getting into a food coma then wandering around. - CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN. - People were getting high on cocaine in the toilets. Keep in mind these were 16 year olds. A mate of mine, Ellis, got high as a fucking kite and we were talking in a secluded area. Ever talked to someone doped to the tits on drugs? They have some knowledge to share. Plus he thought he was being followed. - Actually, people did think they were being followed by some weird shadowy figure. There was more than one group who thought that, and these were groups who never talked to eachother, so that was interesting. Might've been contact highs or something. - Laying on a grass bank nearby with Jason, talking and watching the stars. Then watching as some people who were generally arseholes to us wandered over, high, and apologised and talked to us. That was nice. - There was no dancing, no dates, just mates (RHYME.) but I got to hug and kiss a few girls. That was nice. Although I did get asked a few times if Big Fellah (Yes, it's been my nickname for years) just referred to my height..Let's just say cocaine wasn't the only thing being shared in the toilets. - Wandering around the outside gardens, the marquees all lit up, sitting with my mates and having a few drinks. Shooting the shit about the future one last time. tl;dr: Chocolate, Chases and Cocaine. It was brilliant. Even someone who was generally introverted like me (Though we did have a big posse who hung around for those five years.) enjoyed every single minute of it, and it's one of those days which really defined my life. When I'm close to death, I hope I can flash back through those memories, so I can die happy. Greywolfin 102 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 (edited) I didn't bother going to prom. I don't dance and I don't think I could spent more than a few minutes listening to the music they play or being around the people I went to school with so I went to a couple of movies with a friend instead. I regret nothing! Leavinh 313 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 I never went to any of my high school's dances or proms. And honestly, i don't really regret it. That wasn't really my scene and nobody I cared to hang out with ever went. Instead, a couple friends and I would just order pizza, watch terrible movies and play Smash Bros. Those were some of the best nights of my life so far.
Cstriker 737 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 First, I was a band geek in high school and I had and have the same close tight group of friends since elementry school. I'm pretty blessed in that department (in fact we all go to Vegas in July). I'm 31 now and I have to say, my experiance were always positive. Senior prom, I wore a top hat, cane, white jacket and took two dates. I even told one of my dates to dance with a buddy as he looked lonely (he wasn't, he sat a dance out to get something to drink) and they started dating thanks to me (Cstriker = pimp...j/k). It was a fun time, expensive though paying for two ladies however. Man, fun times. One year we took our dates to Chucky Cheese for dinner...best dinner we chose! Adorkable 2,737 May 12, 2014 Share May 12, 2014 I know some members here may not yet have had their first prom, but for those who have, how was it? ^^ Mine was pretty bad, my girlfriend and I had a huge fight in the middle of it, and it completely ruined the romantic feeling of the night. We left early, and broke up about...2 days later, I think. Things just weren't the same after that, so it didn't last long at all. ^^" How about you all? crazitaco 596 May 12, 2014 Share May 12, 2014 (edited) I met my first and only boyfriend at senior prom. It was okay i guess. I got all prettied up and froo froo'd, me and my friends went to go eat, and then i stood around pretending to be interested in dancing. My friends being there made it tolerable, but I could've had more fun in a different setting, such as one in which i could actually hear them over the music. As for meeting my ex boyfriend there, we started talking since we were both singles without anyone to dance with. I think we were both just desperate. Pinkamena Dianne Pie 465 May 12, 2014 Share May 12, 2014 I honestly never went to prom throughout my whole highschool career. Never got a date to one. Envy 6,162 May 12, 2014 Share May 12, 2014 To be honest, I didn't go to the prom. When I was in my early teens I can actually remembering wanting to, but by the time I got to high school I turned into a total... teenager. IIRC, my line of reasoning for not going was "I hate dancing, and today's music is so lame, anyway". LOL. Not that I think any differently of dancing nowadays. However, the music was a large part for me, I had just really got into classical music and shut everything off... *sigh* Oh well, it's a thing of the past, and I honestly don't regret not going to the prom. There are more exciting events in life. Everything needs more woodwind!
