How to add an instrumental to your music

Get a program that can make instrumentals. If you're aiming towards the electronic feel, FL Studio would be your best aim. If you're going for a more classical/rock/metal feel, get something like Reason.

I've got Finale 2012, which is a very decent software. I could even make the instrumental for you if you'd like.

As far as I'm concerned DAW doesn't actually matter, you can do whatever you want with whatever DAW (if you know how to use said DAW) and come up with roughly the same results, minus the freebies said DAW gives you access to like synths and stuff. Look for sample packs of the instruments you want online, they might not be the quality you're looking for but then you can use some EQ and distortion plugins to bring out the qualities of the instrument you want.

Also like Thunder Dash here I could give it a shot. Especially if it's a synth job you want.
