Coco Pommel 669 March 20, 2014 Share March 20, 2014 One of the brony stereotypes is that we wear fedoras. I'm going to keep my personal opinions of fedoras aside (okay, I don't like them get off me), and ask, how often do you all wear fedoras? I haven't worn a fedora since I was sixteen.

Noire Panzer 3,526 March 20, 2014 Share March 20, 2014 I will wear a fedora every so often if I feel like it. Mostly I don't but when I wanna wear a hat it's usually that. Painted Lattice 131 March 20, 2014 Share March 20, 2014 They're supposed to be a hat to wear with a suit (or not if you're Indiana Jones) All I know about them is how they are "supposed" to be worn ... and that apparently nowadays if a guy is wearing a fedora it's a stereotype that they're a sexist jerk?
Sigma 768 March 20, 2014 Share March 20, 2014 I wear a Hard Rock Café fedora while in band camp as a kind of funny thing to laugh at for the week. I don't wear fedoras in any other occasion. Though, this doesn't mean I wouldn't like to. I personally think fedoras are way cooler than baseball caps. I simply don't get why other people would disagree. Ribbonfree 2,383 March 20, 2014 Share March 20, 2014 This thread already exists~ They actually can look good on me on a good day since I have a feminine face/body for a guy, but I still avoid them on principle nowadays.

FlutterDash4072 189 March 20, 2014 Share March 20, 2014 I don't have one, but I wouldn't wear one unless I was wearing a suit. People wearing them with a t-shirt and jeans ruined them. 2 Signature made by Wheatley
PinkiePieJr 122 March 20, 2014 Share March 20, 2014 Well that's interesting to see how "never" is dominating, "rarly" is second, and "all the time" barly has any votes. That really showes that it is just a sterotype that actually isn't true. Interesting. I wonder though if a grander scale with more people answeirng could effect the results though. I don't think the elements of the fandom that fit the stereotypes use this forum that much. This forum, as far as I've noticed, seem to be the younger elements of the fandom, high schoolers and collage students. More innocent, less corrupted by the world. Or something trite like that.

PsychedelicPony 440 March 20, 2014 Share March 20, 2014 The last time I wore a fedora I was like 10 and I wore it because it matched my pin striped suit. Also all these people need to realize they aren't even wearing fedoras, for the most part they are all wearing trilbies. 1 Sig by The Frozen Pegasus Avatar by Royal Samurott

SkyHeart 102 March 20, 2014 Share March 20, 2014 (edited) I only wear baseball caps and my tardis hat :3 I don't understand where this stereotype came from either. I'm a female, but I have never met a single male (or femal, for that matter) brony wearing a fedora. Come to think of it, I've only seen homiphobic jocks wearing them °-° but that's my own experiences. His name was Kelly C. He was mean. Treble Bolt 1,122 March 20, 2014 Share March 20, 2014 I don't wear fedora's at all...I prefer my Ford and Oliver camo baseball caps personally (you know, something that likes mud).... Fedroa's are okay, but I personally think yuppies and hipsters wear them most often...I've never really heard that stereotype upon the Brony fandom, and never have I seen a con pic of a brony in a fedora...
