Grew up playing Star Fox on SNES. Absolutely love the first stage 'Corneria' music. One of the best first stage tracks ever, imo.

Bought an N64 at launch with a copy of Star Fox 64. Spent the night playing with some friends and ended up beating Andross to a room filled with overly excited 7th graders, myself included. Then multiplayer.

Would be nice if they announced a new Star Fox game soon. With less/no platforming, please. I'll take my Star Fox in the skies.

That's awesome, dude. What an amazing way to beat Star Fox 64 on the first night. It's not a very long game, though. However, getting the medals to unlock Expert Mode is a different story. I actually to this day haven't acquired them all, but after a recent play through on the 3DS version, I feel I may have a better chance this time.

Also, Corneria may just be one of the best damn game soundtracks I've ever heard. Especially when fans update it and give it a little twist.

Take this tune for example:

I've played Star Fox, Star Fox 64, Star Fox: Assault, and Star Fox 64 3D.  I loved all but Assault, which I didn't have much time with / a chance to form a solid opinion about.  I have my fingers crossed for a Wii U Star Fox announcement at E3 this year.  And my eyes crossed: :derp: . <---- Well, close enough lol.

Oh you haven't played Adventures for the GameCube? I would highly recommend it! Although it's completely different from what you would expect to see in a Star Fox game, it's amazing to play, that's for sure. Also, it tells the story of how Krystal joined the Star Fox team, and why Peppy is retired.

Perhaps I'll have the chance if GCN games ever make it onto the Virtual Console.  I no longer possess a Cube on which I can play my (or any) minidiscs, and my Wii (which I gave away post-data transfer anyhow) stopped reading discs of any kind long ago xD.

If your PC is powerful enough, you can always get an Emulator and play the game for free. I would recommend asking about that, though. He's a pretty big computer nerd, lol.

You can always just use the spoiler tag. :)

However, as I have seen all the endings to Command (what a terrible game), Falco is a very good friend to Fox. However, I can't remember where, but I think Slippy is actually Fox's 'best friend'.

Well yeah boths are true, but can't you just imagine, how awesome friend Falco would be? He might be one of heck of hothead, but he is as well "right hand," ((or paw or wing :P)) loyal or very great and helping friend. If you do remember Star Fox Command ending 9, he really tries to comfort broken Fox who barely wat or slept anymore. Then Falco an idea, where they both entered as a team to the G grand prix race thingie and there readed: "When falco sww excitement in a Fox face, Falco's was filled of huge relief. ((or something like that :P)) in my opinion: Falco and Fox are most likely made to each other, to be very best pals :3

This picture may tell you, why this is my opinion: :P

If the new, yet to be announced Star Fox U (being an optimist here...) is ALMOST as good as SF64, then I think we'll have something special on our hands (hooves, everypony?)

I love Star Fox. I played 64 back when it was brand new and I'll be honest I was actually afraid of Andross and his hilariously stupid flappy skinned face :P.

Also back when Adventure was still new, I played against the last boss so much that I felt pretty good when I could beat him without taking damage. :P

My friend and I played Assault so much that we unlocked everything in the multiplayer, I guess every time we unlocked something new, it made us keep playing.

I've played every single Star Fox game. I like the first one if I can use a controller, the second one is kind of weird, 64 is amazing, Adventure is fun, Assault is awesome, Command is and always will be terrible and 64 on the 3DS was great on the go.

Not trying to sound like a negative nelly here, but we were supposed to get s Star Fox game for the Wii as well. ^^"

But if we were to get a new Star Fox game, I'm sure Nintendo would hold nothing back! :)

That's not surprising. Andross can seem a little scary in 64 when you fight him, especially his creepy looking fake you fight on the easy route (taking Bolse to Venom!)

Nintendo tried to milk the whole "WOOOOOOOOOAHHH MOTION CONTROLS!" a bit too long, imo. It's not like they've got nothing, they have TONS of franchises that would have everyone lining up to throw money at them (well, if people are like me anyway). That Smash Bros. U trailer with all the franchise titles flashing on the screen... come on, Nintendo... I thought you liked money.

They're the only hardware manufacturer left that could probably get away with little to no third party support.

His fake was especially creepy, how it zooms towards you, everything's blowing up around you, the music going nuts and you, the player's confused by this strange turn of events because you thought you had finally defeated the evil Andross to find out after the credits that he's still out there, laughing at you due to you only defeating his lousy robo fake.

BUT it also gives you the determination to take reigns and go through the hard route and confront the real Andross.

His brain form is creepy too and a giant pain in the ass. Stupid nerve cords breaking the arwing's wings off.

*bump*

So, from a recent IGN video, I'm beginning to get the idea that this new game could be a potential reboot of the series.

They also mention Peppy, who actually retired from the Star Fox team at the end of Assault, to go and be the general of the Cornerian Army.

If Peppy is back in this game, something big must have happened. He was getting very old in the games, especially in Command (bleh) where he looked 60+, I personally don't feel he would have it in him to fly an Arwing and constantly remind you of the greatest action man has ever known (a.k.a. Pressing Z/L or R twice). Unlike in Assault, where he saved General Pepper after Fox defeated his ship from the Aparoid virus.

One of my biggest concerns is how they had yet to mention Krystal. Could she have been removed from this game, the series? We know from this video that the game, as of now, is still in the tech demo stage, but if they've seen the classic team from Star Fox 64 flying Arwings, I think it could be a reboot.

Could you blame them though? Command was complete shit, everything about it was terrible from the coding to the game play.

So, my questions for the followers, who thinks Star Fox having a reboot would be a good idea? How about a bad idea?

It could be good, it would give Nintendo a chance to give Star Fox a more "modern" feel to it, if that makes sense. Could perhaps heavily redo the on-foot missions.

What about Krystal? Would taking her out of the game be good or bad?

I think she was fine in Assault, I enjoy the love tension between her and Fox from time to time, a little is good. But Command took it too far, way too far.

I never got to play Command so I don't know how things go with them but I heard they break up or something. Iunno.

I'm totally open about what the new Star Fox is gonna be like, I just hope they don't restrict it to just Arwings. I loved the on-foot stuff in Adventures and Assault and hope they make some sort of amalgamation of the two gameplay styles.

Personally I'd be disappointed if they got rid of Krystal. I always liked her and even though she's not the best developed/written character(then again, the series was never known for strong storytelling) I always thought she had a lot of potential and could see them doing a lot of cool things with her

I'd hate to see Krystal gone as the series needs a female touch IMO, but a potential female character doesn't HAVE to be Krystal. We could have one or both of the characters from the abandoned Star Fox 2 game. It would be nice to have a female who doesn't have a romantic link to one of the main characters for once.

But yeah, a reboot is kinda needed. Assault was 50% fine...which isn't good enough. If you're gonna have ground combat; at least make it a little more playable and interesting.

Okay, here we go.

First off I look forward to the new StarFoxU in 2015!

I have beaten SF64, loved StarFox Adventures on the GameCube. Then onto StarFox Assault later I had a lot of fun with the On-Foot missions as well as the Arwing missions. I guess I am one of the lonely few that actually LIKED StarFox Command on the DS, but to each their own. I have the original Snes StarFox but right before I got to play it my Snes died and I never had the chance to get a new one so I own the cartridge but have yet to play the game. (I won't touch emulators) so hopefully Ninty will put it on a VC at some point so I can play it.

So let me wrap this up and ask a quick question. What one specific item or plot would you like to see in the 2015 release of StarFox U?

I know I'd like a certain blue furred vixen to make a comeback.
