Yeah, I tried to play f2p before and I got bored quickly..

Well i love wow i've hit 2000 rating in PvP atm my fellow wowheads should know what that means haha i'm very proud of that took me ages. other ones i've played is.......

- Champions Online which is a very awesome concept but done very badly, imagine a game where you can create your own super hero completely how you want them too be but there is not aspect of freedom in the game everything is teleport here and there there is no sense of exploration and with a map of invisible boundaries and shit PvP and PvE i was very disapointed.

most mmo's these days are just wow clones but the future looks bright. Koreans are currently ruling the market as of late and what they are doing looks very cool and innovative i look forward too 2015.

Is the f2p wow even worth playing?. Just curious, because I don't want to pay for a game at this moment.

I confess I don't really have much experience with MMO's as the only one I have played is Star Wars The Old Republic but I do like it. You get 8 characters (4 for empire and 4 for republic) and you get to play either dark side, light side or neutral regardless of faction. My complaint about that though is if you are playing a Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular, Sith Inquisitor or Sith Warrior you pretty much have to make them either pure dark side or light side as most of the really good equipment for force users is dependent on alignment so I would like to see more good equipment for force using characters that is not so dependent on that. Of course this is not a problem for the non force using classes like Bounty Hunter, Smuggler, Imperial Agent, and Republic Trooper but still.

The game has a very interesting story although I am a bit biased since I am a huge Star Wars fan and the Old Republic Era is one of my favorites. My favorite character is the Sith Warrior, the Sith Inquisitor is good but feels a bit rushed in some places but the Sith Warrior is everything a sith warrior should be as well as a few things an inquisitor should be. The Sith Warrior not only engages in brute force but also build alliances and there are plenty of opportunities for power plays and deceit which are usually the purvey of sith inquisitors. To put it simply playing as the Sith Warrior is almost like playing as Darth Vader and in theory the Sith Inquisitor is like playing as Darth Sidious (Emporer Palpatine) but the Sith Warrior feels like a combination of Darth Vader and Darth Sidious at least story wise.

The Bounty Hunter and Smuggler classes are great for if you want to laugh your ass off, there are plenty of opportunities for being a complete and total smartass which will get you in trouble sometimes but most of the time is so worth it. The Imperal Agent story is Star Wars meets James Bond and Metal Gear Solid, one of the Imperial Agent trainers puts it best when he says "trust no one". The Jedi Knight story is a lot like playing as Luke Skywalker in a way, your main goal is to take down the Sith Emporer Darth Vitiate and the Jedi Consular story is almost like playing as Yoda. A lot of people consider the Jedi Consular story boring and it does take a bit more time to build but making a dark side Jedi Consular really makes things interesting, the shocked and horrified reactions of a lot of NPC's you run into is hilarious. The Republic Trooper story reminds me a bit of GI Joe except a tad darker as it makes a lot of profound points about the harsh realities and tragedies of war.

I use to love runescape, I still play it on and off :P

I think I hold the record for "The longest time playing runescape and not getting a 99" xD

No. Bad. Don't take my title. Worked hard for it - played Runescape for, what, seven years? Still no 99.

Legends of Equestria!
On a more serious note, if you don't mind paying a subscription, I'd suggest Final Fantasy XIV. I'm only 20 levels in, but I know quite a few more long time players, and they're saying it's great fun. There is no lack of content neither mid-game nor end-game, and the leveling and questing is really smoothed out, so there's little heavy grinding, but you don't speed through everything.

One of my favourite parts, is that it really makes you feel as though you are important in the world. There's cutscenes and events that solely point to you as the person the game needs. It makes you feel important to the story, which is a great video game element that many MMOs lack in. I don't go back simply to get a fancy character who sits about at max strength. I go back because I want to know what happens next. I want to see who these bad guys are, and what they plan on doing. I want to see the reason I've been beckoned into the world.

Ten years? Wow. Does she have the 10 year veteran cape?

Anyway, back on topic... Legends of Equestria, if you've heard of it, is a great game for what it has right now. Though right now you get disconnected from the servers... A LOT... So, that's a pain in the butt.

Also, Runescape. Play eet.

My favorite MMO are The Elder Scrolls Online and Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Here are the reasons I enjoy them:

The Elder Scrolls Online:

I enjoy it because it is a pretty unique MMO and it allows you to play anything you want with no restrictions, you can even be a mage tank.

Star Wars: The Old Republic:

I enjoy it because of it's story and how your choices impact the story and the PvP is a lot of fun in my opinion. And it is also Free-To-Play.

DCUO and pretty much every Battleon mmo they made like AdventureQuest, Dragonfable (i think), AQWorlds, etc. Those were fun.

I would say Runescape overall, but I haven't played Jagex Runescape in a while, I play on a private server now, Ultimatescape2, which I like better and has a nicer and close knit community while still retaining a larger server (around 500-600 regular players), I have a bunch of friends I talk with on there on Teamspeak.
