I'll have to go give the other MSPA Comics a go then. However, this is a Homestuck discussion thread, so we should stick to talking about Homestuck.

What was the most touching moment in Homestuck so far for you? I think it was, for me, when Jack laid Jade down on her Quest Bed and killed her so she could ascend to God Tier. Bec will forever be the most loyal dog. <3

Being a KatRezi shipper myself, I can't really see JohnKat nor do I like it...

Okay, since we're kind of currently on the topic of pairings I am going to just say two of my favorite pairings that a lot of Homestuck fans hate.

Those would be DirkDave (Stridercest) and EriSol.

I seem to be in the minority of the Homestuck fandom that's not really into shipping.

The only real opinion I have on shipping is that JakeDirk absolutely must sink. And no, not in an "Ew! Gay!" way, but a "Jake obviously isn't secure enough in his sexuality, and excessive influence from DIrk would be a very bad thing for him at this point" way.

That's really all there is to say on the matter.

Caliborn is amazing. He's a bit like pre-ascension Jack, but instead of knives, he uses an assault rifle.

Aside from that, Gamzee's fake-looking wings and previous references to constructing his outfit himself do beg the question as to whether or not he's really dead, or can pull off a got tiger revival. If he really is faking it, it's unlikely he can get to his quest bed in time.

Or maybe he's attached some kind of importance to dying by his "angel's" hand? With Gamzee, nothing is certain.

The humour in that scene cracked me up. I've seen quite a few GIFs spawn from it. Nevertheless it's quite an interesting set of events.

Anyway, I hope it's not a perma-death. I really like Gamzee

Would it be safe to say that if Problem Sleuth bored me to death, I wouldn't like Homestuck?

I've wanted to try Homestuck a few times, but don't want to invest that much time into something I won't end up liking. When I ask, Homestucks usually say to try out other MSPA first to see if I like it. Problem Sleuth was really boring, and I honestly can't see Homestuck being so popular if it's really all that much like Problem Sleuth.

I enjoyed Homestuck way more than Problem Sleuth but they are kind of on the same wavelength. I'd say give it a try, I think the plot gets way more interesting but also way more confusing. Plus I think that Homestuck just has a little bit more personality than PS.

Homestuck definitely has a lot of the elements of Problem Sleuth (the humor, the adventure game presentation...) but uses them to tell a much deeper and more well-rounded story. Homestuck knows when minor puzzle mechanics aren't necessary anymore and ignores them entirely after a point. And most importantly, it will sometimes escape the panel-and-text format entirely, allowing for animated and occasionally interactive segments. There are lots of characters, lots of dialogue, and some of the most imaginative settings I've ever seen. Homestuck has a lot more than the "one big bad guy" conflict of Problem Sleuth, with a lot more mystery, adventure, drama between the protagonists, and general complexity.

But it still has a very slow start, and I see that being a major turn-off for you. I guess all I can do to motivate you is to show you what's to come if you continue.

Gamzee is my favorite troll, as well as my boyfriend's patron troll. I really hope he isn't dead for good. Then again, no one in Homestuck is rarely ever 'dead for good' so I don't think he'll be dead. Then again, Hussie can and does play some damn good mind tricks.

As far as Problem Sleuth goes, I haven't read it, so I can't tell you. It probably isn't that similar to Homestuck. The puzzle and adventure elements will most likely be similar, but Homestuck is unlike any webcomic I've ever read. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Another homestuck thread?

Okay let's be serious now.

I'm a huge fan of Homestuck myself, even owning a Dave Strider Broken Record shirt. (And I wear it proudly on a regular basis.) My friend introduced me to it a good 2 years ago I believe.

I also proudly have my birthday on April 13, which is 4/13. It's how my friends remember my birthday, because it's the day Homestuck started and has since been a key number in Homestuck. I don't either.

So, is this thread spoiler free or no?

Well, there have already been references to Caliborn's name and Gamzee's possible death, so I'd say no at this point. But we could start.

If anypony has a problem with spoilers we could stop including spoilers, this also means we can't have playful banter about the updates which I quite enjoy doing.

And the occasional shipping war. Dave and John are perfect, so I don't know why we have these wars in the first place.

Another homestuck thread?

I searched before making this thread, and whilst I did find mentions towards Homestuck, I couldn't find any dedicated threads for it. So I started one up. Might have just not seen them, I'm still a newbie here

I'd prefer it if we could do spoilers - we have already started, might have to say spoilers in the thread title (If I can change it that is).

Yeah I saw that. Frowns on one side, smile on the other... maybe there will be a yin/yang thing with Gamzee. Ok, im probably looking too far into it, but you never know with Hussie.

Also all I could think of in the new pages is:

Caliborn wat r u doing!

Caliborn!

Stahp!

Oh, Homestuck.. It w

s fun to read it when i had thousands of unread pages.. W
iting for new updates is painful and discussing about what happened or might happen next isn't my thing.

It is defin

tely one of the most interesting/unique things i have ever read/played/watched/experienced.

I find it funny th

t the first time i started reading it, i stopped
fter few pages (bec
use i pretty much knew nothing about it).
month later i tried again and started to get the humor in it. Then before i noticed, it
ctually started having a really interesting story, th
t eventually got to a point where i cannot understand how
comes up with this stuff.

I wanted to put them in a 'Hide / Show Spoiler' box but I don't think we have a code for that..

We do.

and i guess i should check the latests updates.. Edited by Jormaz

Thanks! May as well test out the spoiler thing now. (It's a reference to the first intermission)

May have messed that up miserably. If you read this before I correct it, have a cookie. :)

Caliborn is the new greatest villain ever. He's still reminding me of an assault rifle wielding Jack, but... should I say it?

He's sort of adorable. I mean, holding the shift key constantly to use his quirk? Aww...

I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that he's becoming less and less hate-able by the update.
