It probably has a lot to do with early exposure! My vocal teacher throughout high school was a massive musical theatre nut, which influenced the way I sang for a long time. Then I went on to study jazz. (I've been in choirs since forever as well.)

 

I have a few (old) youtube clips, mostly Disney songs with a few originals. All a cappella. I'll happily post one here if you like?

Yes, probably! I've been in choirs for quite a number of years when I was a child. That could be it.

Wow, hey that's wonderful! You have a very sophisticated sounding voice. Very lovely. I had a listen to your Mother Knows Best cover as well and I especially liked that one, your voice suits that song so well I see what you mean about your vibrato, I really like it. It's very steady and controlled. You definitely deserve more views. Have you ever considered doing MLP covers too?

Thanks! Those were 'requests' by people on Tumblr. I had a day free and got super bored, so I just got a few followers to shoot Disney songs at me and I'd record myself singing 'em. My reaction to being asked for 'Mother Knows Best' was something along the lines of "you have got to be shitting me," but it turned out surprisingly good. xD

 

Ah, they don't have views because nobody knows they exist. I only chucked them up there so I could use them on Tumblr. The originals in particular were uploaded for a friend who really wanted to hear my songs. (Those are the ones where I'm actually singing on video.) That, and they're all about two years old.

 

If I find time to do more, I'd probably do a few pony ones. This show has some great music!
