I actually think it's kind of annoying. The game was already luck based, now your opponent can toss around a free Double Team and Focus Energy.

Another thing, I hate how moves that hit multiple targets have their damage split up instead of doing full damage to both targets

Well, it doesn't happen that often thankfully! Plus it's only the player that benefits from it in game! The friendship thing doesn't give any advantages against other irl players, and doesn't occur in CPU trainers, so it's only beneficial :)

Meh, it still feels cheap. I don't want to have training wheels attached in the story mode

I always hated luck in Pokemon, those times when you lose a match because of flinch, para, confusion, love, or accuracy hax

I guess that's true! Even so, it's nice to see the bond between you and your Pokémon grow :)

Wow, you sound just like Ash.

I just treat my Pokemon like slaves and level grind them constantly, toss them out into the firing line as death fodder so I can heal my main fighters

Really? I guess I kind am! :P

I like to bond with my Pokémon and care for them as best I can. To me, it creates an even better experience, as I feel my hard work is being by stronger, more friendly Pokémon :P

But it takes too long! I find that using Pokemon like warriors is just better in general, especially if you're running a Frustration set

I gave Cytomander Frustration since his happiness got low and he's sweeping teams now

I'll admit it does take quite a while, but I like to leisurely stroll through the pixel forests and towns and take my time with my Pokémon. I guess it's all personal preference :)

Lol, all peaceful and like

Whereas I give my Pokemon bitter herbs and repeatedly faint them in battle to the point where they are the most pissed off crew ever. Only Cytomander is running Frustration, but I do it for the sake of equality and because I slightly RP as Paul personality wise xD

It's funny when people come up and say how nice I am to my pokemon

Yep! xD Just strolling through the regions, rolling some bug catchers! lol

I've never given out a bitter herb ever! At the most, I give the berries that INCREASE friendship. I only work for friendship! :P

In my case, I deliberately poison and burn my Pokemon so they get taken down in battles a lot. To be fair, Thymilph and Guts benefits from this

It's funny how a lot of berries only activate if the Pokemon is weak

Wow! xD That's a bit harsh!

Hey, in Thymilph's case, it actually buffs him up

I know right? You'd expect them to activate as soon as they'd have maximum effect rather than last minute!

Gluttony fixes that, it activates at half health. Still low, but you know.

I do question the psychopath who created the Toxic and Burn Orb

Even so, think of all the emotional trauma poor Thymilph is going through! xD

Yeah, but it's a shame it isn't able to available for more than a few Pokémon :P

Yeah, very few (if any) Pokémon benefit from those nightmarish items!

He's a Machoke, he can deal with it. Hell, his pokedex says he likes to push himself

Actually, about 21 Pokemon have Guts to boost themselves, others can use Psycho Shift to pass the effect, Synchronizers can copy it onto others, Trickers and Flingers can give it to their foe

@,

I just realized something...female Machoke look exactly like the males. Honestly, I'd prefer if they looked slightly different. Seriously, look at a Machoke, a female one, and try to visualize her as female

Machoke's one of the two "odd" Pokémon if they're different genders from the stereotype. The other (which I think is slightly weirder), is a male Lopunny...

Male Gardevoir you mean. Wearing a skirt has that effect. I don't know why,but for some reason, the internet headcanon is that female Machoke have a tail, kind of like Machop

Other than a select few, don't all pokemon look the same male or female?

Yeah, but most look agender as well, whereas the ones we are talking about lean heavily to one side

Well, there are only male Gallade. How about Male Braixen? Funny thing is, Braixen looks pretty effeminate, yet Delphox could go either way.

This video comes to mind. A bit suggestive, but nothing really NSFW. It still proves my point.

But it works logistically. Your move is hitting simultaneously. Not two separate moves. Anywho, doesn't exactly break the strategy either.

How can the damage of an Earthquake be split up? Or a Lava Plume? How about a Surf? None of those would get weaker from splitting up

I have no clue why, but it really annoys me when Machoke or Machamp gjinkas are skinny and not bulky. It just feels off.

No, but you would have to make them bigger to encompass that area. In dumbed down terms that I know, you need more energy for things to travel further, to move more material, or to move through obstacles. Since it can be assumed that energy would eventually translate to damage, you would waste more damage (energy) traveling your radius to two targets. That make sense?
