  1. Well then my unpopular opinion: History classes are NOT useless, though they are overemphasized and poorly taught most of the time. Understanding how past events led to other past events is an excellent way to understand how past events led to present events, and how present events will lead to future events. History classes also include research skills as a method of finding out those past and present events in order to make use of them. On the other hand, History professors don't seem to agree with that explanation very often, and prefer some nonsense about history being important all on its own.
  2. I took some Latin in middle school, but not enough to be of help beyond broad explanations of general grammatical concepts.
  3. If you'll have time on weekends then you can at least join one of the DND style games already started. I don't know about the other, but the one I'm in only has 3 players right now and we haven't gotten started on the main part yet.
  4. Latin has genders for every noun, with neuter being neutral. I don't think there's really specific meaning to it, it's mostly for grammatical purposes.
  5. The general population just isn't familiar enough with the whole Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series... Ah well, what is your favorite color?
  6. I don't have a Wii U, but if I ever do get one there will be even more updates. Woo. Well, fortunately I don't actually want one unless something big changes.
  7. Do you know what God's last words to His creation are? Of not then you could be more awesome than you already are.
  8. I think you can put this all in one thread just fine, or I even hear you can make blogs within the forum if you want to give regular updates rather than constant discussion. Also, writing three quality rule books in one month would be quite an accomplishment.
  9. Success! Or not, it wasn't a GREAT game, but it did get a lot of hate at the time of release for... I don't really know what reason, my only real complaints were that it was way too short and did not need to be broken into multiple games that they weren't ready to make.
  10. Moose Moose Moose Moose Moose MOose That shift key, must have been sticky from trying to activate sticky keys all the time. Goose
  11. I actually thought that Too Human was a pretty good game, and am very disappointed that the planned sequels were never made so the story received no closure.
  12. That reminds me, what is her Cutie Mark? It just looks like a circle on the picture, though that may be due to the angle and smudginess, but is it perhaps a bubble? It seems very dark for that, but it also fits somewhat.
  13. I choose 1. Because I like numerical order, not because I'm number 1 or anything. If I win, I'll take Rarity, mostly because of that one episode with the Diamond Dogs where she was like "Kidnapping? Fuck that." and just won at everything. EDIT: I didn't realize, it's possible the "plushie of your choice" may be "choice out of the ones shown" rather than just anypony. If that's the case I would go with Pinkie Pie, despite hating parties.
  14. Doorknob Doorknob Doorknob Doorknob Doorknob Doorknob Doorknob Doorknob Doorknb That o, never there when you need it. I hear it does like ponies though. Advantageous.
  15. I have the same problem, whenever I hold a pencil my hand rests all over the page and it's really difficult to avoid previous lines. The clearest results would come from simply drawing directly into the computer with a digitizer, but that's a fairly considerable investment and not guaranteed to really improve much. You could also try going directly to pen instead, mistakes are much harder to correct, but after a short drying period ink actually smudges much less than graphite. If you get a nice scan into the computer you can always edit out mistakes in the software.
  16. I would say that this is perfectly fine for non-professional art, and that you only get better with practice. Way better than anything I've ever done. If I had a really particular suggestion, it would be to draw more lightly on much brighter paper, and go over it in dark ink when you're done. This looks to be all done in pencil, and some of the lines have smudged especially in the tail.

Happy New Beer! You can keep the old one too though, I don't want either.

You're all in 2013? Wow, what's it like living in the future? Has the world ended yet?
  19. Oh hey, there are status updates.

  21. Does it count if I only played the demo? Because if so, Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor takes at least somewhere near the top even without going beyond the utterly unusable broken controls.
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LrVou1Jo7w I think that using an adblocker is like stealing. I think that Internet Explorer is a good browser. It's not that much harder to really learn guitar than it is to play Guitar Hero.
  23. The advantage that consoles have over PC is also the disadvantage: they hold technology back. You can spend $300-400 on a console and play most of the new games for the next 5-7 years with at most a hard drive upgrade. $300-400 PCs... No such luck, and to get even CURRENT games on a PC of that price you'll need to do a good deal of bargain hunting, research, and have the required knowledge to build it yourself. Not saying consoles are better, they are seriously lacking on a great many levels, but they do have a reason to exist and I see nothing wrong with the people that prefer them. EDIT: after looking over a few replies again, I figured I should mention this: I am mostly a PC gamer, other than portable systems, but I never mod my games.
