  1. Final Fantasy IX, easily. I absolutely love everything about that game, and the music is a big part of it for me. Such a stunning and moving soundtrack. It evokes such amazing memories every time I hear a track from the game. I'm actually very excited, because I'm going to an Anime convention soon that Nobuo Uematsu (composer for the FF series) is going to be at, and I'm going to have him sign my copy of Final Fantasy IX. SO excited.
  2. See, this was back when Patrick was stupid, but in a very clever way. There's a subtle art to writing a stupid character, and back then, the writers on Spongebob got it. I miss stuff like this on Spongebob.
  3. I thought it was a funny little joke. It's acknowledging that it exists without drawing a lot of attention to it. I doubt anyone who doesn't already know what "clop" is would even really think twice about it. Even if they did ask, just give 'em a broad idea of what it is, and make sure they know it's a very small minority of the fans.
  4. I loved it. I keep hearing that it's supposedly biased towards bronies, but as someone who worked on the documentary explained, that just shows how amazing and accepting the community around the show is. I think it's worth getting, for fans and non-fans alike really. I'm actually thinking about showing it to a friend of mine who is a little bit hostile towards the show in order to show him it's not all bad, that it's in fact mostly a very cool and friendly community. But yeah, check it out. Entertaining, great music, wonderful narration by John De Lancie, and surprisingly touching.
  5. It's such a simple nonsense joke, but Patrick shouting "FINLAND!" after getting hit twice with a bowling ball always makes me laugh. The other scene that will always be funny to me is Patrick trying to open a jar. Every time this episode comes on, I have to watch at least up to this scene. (bad quality, but had to post it) Man, remember when Spongebob was actually funny? You know you can usually tell if an episode is in the "funny" era by how Spongebob's voice sounds? As time went on in the show, they started having him have a higher pitched voice. It started slow, but by the time you get to the seasons after the movie, his voice is quite a bit higher than how he started.
  6. Knowing that game, it's entirely possible it was supposed to lead to somewhere at some time in the development, but it no longer actually does anything. I'd chock it up to leftover game design and move on.
  7. Let's see. My current user name is because my first and last name in real life both begin with Chris, hence Double Chris. Simple, but effective I suppose.
  8. My favorite used to be the Guacamole Doritos, only sold for what seemed like a very short time. I also think I was the only person who actually liked them, but man I wish they still made 'em. Other than that, my absolute favorite is the Sweet Spicy Chili Doritos. It's one of the main ingredients in what me and my friends have referred to as "Chip Crack". See, you take Sweet Spicy Chili Doritos and dip them in smooth cheese dip, preferably Tostitos. It's the greatest thing you will ever taste in chip and dip form, I guarantee it.
  9. Civ 5 is a ton of fun. I recently started playing it again, after not having played a Civilization game in a long time, and I love it. The learning curve isn't bad at all. The tutorial is great, but isn't at all necessary if you've ever played a Civ game before. Difficulty, however, is another thing. I plowed through on easy just to get used to it, and just started another game on normal difficulty. Stupid Ramesses tore me apart.
  10. Nothing beats a Magic Bounce Espeon! Espeon was the second Pokemon ever to really become one of my favorites (my first Pokemon love will always be Squirtle). I just love everything about it. First Psychic Pokemon I ever really liked. Honestly, though. I like all the Eeveelutions. Glaceon is my other top favorite, it's just so cute and cool.
  11. One of the few games I bought opening day was SPORE. I loved it at first, but the more I played, the less interested I got. The more time you put into the game, the more the cracks and flaws in the game became apparent. In the end, the little details and choices you make really don't matter. You're always headed to the same outcome no matter what.
  12. Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, the community seems really cool here. I haven't been a member of a real quality forum in a while, so I'm hoping this turns out well. My avatar is a pony interpretation of my screen name Double Chris. A guy on DeviantART did quick sketches of a bunch of usernames from Reddit as ponies, and I asked if he would do a full version of mine, and voila! I've been using it as an avatar ever since. If I would get off my butt and start drawing more often, I'd draw my own version of him.
  13. Hey y'all. New here, figured I'd head on in and say hey. I had no idea this place existed, but I'm pretty excited now that I know it does! Also, I don't have a southern accent, but I use a lot of what most would call "southern " slang. So, howdy!
  14. Na, not illegal. It's been done. I'm pretty sure it's in the Postal games (along with anything else offensive you could think of), and it's in another more recent game that I can't name for spoilers.
  15. A friend of mine uses Sony ACID Pro for everything, and I use it for editing stuff together myself, so I'd go with that. However, if you're really looking to compose music like Alex S, Eurobeat, Tombstone, etc., you're really gonna need to invest in some kind of MIDI keyboard. You can only get so much from samples and loops.
  16. You absolutely should be able to, I agree. If I want to play the epitome of evil in Skyrim, well guess what? That includes killing children. Like I said, though, I totally get why they don't let us.
  17. I'd like to consider myself a big fan of horror movies. I'll give you some of my scariest and favorites. V/H/S - This is a film that works about half the time. It's a series of short films strung together with a vague over-arching story. Some of the segments are incredibly scary and effective, and some just fall flat. The Shining - The slow and methodically disturbing tale of a man going insane. Easily one of the creepiest films I've ever seen, but you have to be into a slow movie. The Descent - Torturous, in that you almost never really get to see what's chasing you. The darkness is terrifying to many, and this will make you in that group. Jesus Camp - A friend of mine listed this as his favorite horror movie, and I've never been able to say it doesn't qualify since. Truly, there is nothing scarier than real life, and this shows just how scary the insanely devoted and horribly misguided can be.
  18. True, some companies do seem to thrive on the concept of "Any press is good press", but they almost always end up regretting it and apologizing.
  19. Child death in video games, at least as far as the player murdering children, is pretty much non-existent, and there's probably a very good reason for that. Sure, it messes with the immersion in games like Skyrim where you are an ultimate evil killing off villages...except children, of course. However, the video game industry knows that it draws enough heat as is. The amount of violence in games as perceived by the general public is already too high, and add in the problem of video games being the latest scapegoat for real world violence, and there's no way the industry wants to makes things worse by adding in child murder. Imagine if you could kill children in Skyrim. Do you know how much worse off gamers and the industry would have been after the string of school shootings? So, while I think there is a place for it, ONLY for reasons like immersion, now's really not the time for it.
