  1. I've suffered from depression (and am possibly bipolar) ever since I can remember, courtesy of the emotional abuse of my parents and everyone around me belittling me as a child. I can also be very socially awkward sometimes and am painfully shy at other times. I'm far too nice for my own good and just let others push me around. I know things will be different when my baby's born though. One time when I was fourteen I had to deal with two nasty girls gossiping and making fun of me and my dad just stood there and listened to them. He didn't even seem fazed at the fact that these girls were talking crap about his daughter. He just turned to me and said, "You know those girls are talking about you, right?" Ugh! If someone ever does that to my child, or my stepchild, they'll regret it. I guess I've also got some anger issues as well. I'm the type of person who just bottles up their anger and explodes when things become too much.
  2. The world we live in is a sad, cruel and sadistic place. I can't understand it either how some parents would go so far as hurting, or in some cases even killing, their children. I was never physically abused, just emotionally, but my fiance went through daily beatings from his father. Sometimes I've cried just thinking about the horrible things he's been through. I'm so glad about how wonderful and optimistic he's turned out. He's an amazing father to his four year old daughter and will be an amazing father to our baby as well. The sad thing about abuse is in many cases the cycle of abuse doesn't break and just continues from one generation to the next.
  3. Clowns are by far the scariest. Have any of you guys read the creepypasta "Bubby The Clown"? Just thinking about that story sends shivers down my spine.
  4. For me it's a tie between Family & The Simpsons for favorite. Meg's my favorite on FG due to her being so much like me when I was that age (I can't stand those Meg-bashing scenes/episodes) and The Simpsons is the show that started it all. I've been watching TS since I was eight. Futurama comes in second. Now as for American Dad, I haven't seen too many episodes to judge it. So far from what I've seen, it's okay. So that one's my "least" favorite so far.
  5. You might be a brony if you watch the show more than your own kids.
  6. October 26th Apparently I'm marrying Sweetie Belle.
  7. Chuck Norris' twin brother. Why do zombies eat brains?
  8. It's thanks to my stepdaughter-to-be that I started watching this show. She was only two at the time but I was watching TV with her and it came on. Since then I've been hooked. When my new baby is born and reaches the age where he/she starts watching tv, I'll definitely introduce him/her to Friendship Is Magic. It truly is an amazing show for all ages.
  9. I'm listening to a few songs by my fiance, Jake. He's an R&B singer/ hip-hop artist as well as a producer. If you guys are into that type of music, please check out some of his songs in the link below. If you want to, I mean. I don't have too many friends in real life so I'm doing as much as I can to support him and help him get more fans. https://soundcloud.com/jake-tha-strecha
  10. I was watching the show before I even knew about the fandom. I was actually a little worried that I was the only adult who enjoyed MLP.
  11. I imagine my cutie mark to be two pencils leaning on each-other in a shape like this, /\ , with a musical note inbetween them. It would represent my writing abilities, as well as my musical talents. I've played the bass guitar for nearly eight years now and my fiance introduced me to fruityloops studio a couple years ago.
  12. Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum (but not new to the series). It's been a long time since I've used a forum (I used to use southparkstudios all the time from 2005 - 2007) so sorry if I sound like I'm ranting or rambling. I'm a 22 year old pegasister from Canada. I first started watching MLP:FIM sometime in 2011 when my fiance's daughter was watching it on treehouse. It was Call Of The Cutie. As soon as I saw the animation of the show, I was instantly reminded of The Powerpuff Girls, which was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. I sat down and watched MLP with my stepdaughter-to-be because it was so interesting. I found myself hoping that Applebloom would get her cutie mark in the end but after seeing the ending of the episode, I was very happy with the outcome and the moral presented to the younger audience. For a long time I had no idea how popular this show was among older audiences and found myself rather embarrassed for liking it. I found out about the brony fandom when I watched an episode of teens react on youtube and was pleased to see how popular this show truly was (and also very irritated that those teens were just being presented with untrue stereotypes about the fandom). You probably wouldn't know it judging how lengthy and informative this post is, but I actually relate to Fluttershy the most out of all the characters. Like her, I am far too kind for my own good and can be very shy and quiet. I guess you can also tell from my username that I'm a huge fan of Digimon Tamers as well. I've told my fiance about the brony fandom and that I myself love the show so much and, even though he himself isn't a brony, he does seem to enjoy spending time with me and his daughter and watches it with us. It's a great family show and I'll be introducing my new baby to it as well, regardless if they're a boy or girl. The baby's due on September 2, and I'm very excited about it. I guess I'm also a bit like Pinkie Pie when I get excited too. Heheh... ^-^
