Masamune It's not often that you come across a decent prog-metal album, so when I started listening to this album I was quite surprised at just how well made this album is. I would highly recommend this album to anyone that enjoys melodious guitar riffs and mixed screamo/clean vocals.
  2. Melbourne smiled. "I've no doubt you will. Now I would love to continue this conversation but I fear I must be off, house to inspect and what not. Oh but I'm sure we will be talking again shortly." Melbourne waved his hoof farewell and trotted off down town at a swift rate. He noticed Daffodil and Ashwing up ahead and quickly trotted up beside them. "Ah hello friends, 'tis this not a fine little village we find our selves in?"
  3. Melbourne rose from his seat and collected his rucksack from the overhead baggage compartment. "Finally." He thought to himself. Although the flight had given insight into the ponies he would be living with, Melbourne at the best of times despised social interaction and as a good rule of thumb would rather spend his time in solitude. He noticed that standing at the door of the other blimp was an Alicorn. "Ah that must be the guardian of this little settlement." Melbourne approached him. "Greetings sir, my name is Atticus M. Melbourne the Third. One can't help but notice that 'twould appear you're what would appear to be an Alicorn. One must assume you are the guardian of Aiicornia, so might I be the first to say it is an honour to meet you sir." Melbourne smiles and raises his hoof to shake Mortimer's.
  4. Melbourne raised an eyebrow. It appeared that sleeping beauty had risen from his slumber. "Well squire we're just about to land and judging from the suns position I could safely say it's between midday and 3 o'clock. You do look quite flustered, is something amiss?" Melbourne gave Ashwing a concerned look. "Don't worry, you can tell me lad. I'm quite the listener."
  5. Okay guys so here is the "intro" text to the Warpony 40k universe. It is the 41st Millennium. For more than a hundred centuries Princess Celestia has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Eques-terra. She is the Master of ponykind by the will of the gods, and master of a million worlds by the might of her inexhaustible armies. She is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Technology. She is the Carrion Lord of the Equestrium for whom a thousand unicorns are sacrificed every day, so that she may never truly die. Yet even in her deathless state, Celestia continues her eternal vigilance. Mighty battlefleets cross the daemon-infested miasma of the warp, the only route between distant stars, their way lit by the Astroponican, the magical manifestation of the Princess's will. Vast armies give battle in her name on uncounted worlds. Greatest amongst his soldiers are the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Mare-ines, bio-engineered super-ponies. Their comrades in arms are legion: the Equestrian Guard and countless planetary defence forces, the ever vigilant Inquisition and the Tech priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from Dragons, Parasprites, Diamond Dogs - and worse. To be a pony in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of friendship and magic, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McsWKczU6wc G'day I'm an Australian, mate. Me favourite pass times include surfing, drinking beer, and feeding my pet koala Bazza. When I'm not working down at the Vegemite factory I often pop down town in me kangaroo Skippy to catch the latest Paul Hogan film. In the arvo I like to fight crocodiles down at the billabong for sport and spend me nights in me thongs out the back playin' with me boomerang.
  7. ^ No I don't like any of those things. > Listening to Simon and Garfunkel v Favourite genre of music?
  8. I have a vocal range of E2 to F2. But I'm not a particular good singer. Granted I can hold a note for a 40 seconds but I am terrible at modulating a sustain. In addition to this the only music that requires a bass/baritone vocal range is opera and I HATE OPERA. I've never taken lessons I just teach myself so I'm a little bit tone deaf but I'm generally ok. The only times I do sing are generally during vaudeville pieces, guess I'm attracted to sleaze.
  9. This is what evolution is, All species competing to be the dominant one that rules the world. We are animals so by extension what we are doing is inevitable, if humans hadn't have evolved into existence some other species would have. No doubt being as draconian if not more so then us. Besides all that hog wash of us destroying the planet is preposterous. We are smart, in fact it is our only redeeming feature. There are people doing good with the time they have, creating alternative energy sources etcetera etcetera and eventually a time will come when we live in harmony with our surroundings.
  10. Sight is how well you can see. Awareness is your other senses (Due to your poor SIGHT see it makes sense) Endurance is basically HP and pain threshold, your body has taken so much punishment it has made you near unkillable by conventionally means. But your susceptible to poison and disease, that's what health is, how resistant to disease and poison you are. Hope that clears things up Oh and the Commissar's stat bonus' are Luck and Health. Not Intelligence and Charisma, That would be the Inquisitor.
  11. Melbourne gazed off into the distance, the view of the city hardly interested him. "Banishment, yes well things were different back then. Lets say that I wasn't always a lawyer. Needless to say that I've done many things in the pursuit of justice for all. I have my doubts of course." Melbourne looked directly at Daffodil. "But when I gaze upon young ponies like you it fills me with a sense of pride that what I'm doing is building a future free of crime. Everything I do I do for ponies like you." Melbourne glanced over his shoulder and inspected the other occupant, he seemed odd. But harmless enough. "You there squire, care to tell us about yourself? If we are to live within close proximity surely we must become acquainted with one another ?"
  12. The Sim (The Sims)- The worlds first forever alone simulator game for losers! The Mazing Spiderman (The Amazing Spiderman)- Will spidey ever get out of this difficult maze?
  13. What am I doing late at night? Well currently it's not LATE per say. Nevertheless Some things should just remain unspoken about the late night activities of certain people. Read on if ye dare discover what atrocities I sate my deviated mind with.
  14. Any mind altering substance. From booze to blow. However I find that good 'ol fashioned marijuana is my best release from the doldrums of life.
  15. Melbourne face lit up, people rarely take interest in his job. "Oh my where to begin, you see I was a prosecutor, 'twas my job to convict criminals of what ever crime they had committed. Most cases I worked with were small time, however I have worked on some bigger cases. I believe the biggest conviction I got was banishment on the grounds of high treason, but that was some years ago. As for my detective work, well that's not really that interesting."
  16. Melbourne smiled and nodded at Ashwing. "Greetings sir, in answer to your question. I don't really care how my house looks. I hardly plan on being inside of it very much. You see I'm a lawyer and detective, in fact the reason I decided to come out here was purely for the sake of bringing justice to the frontier. But if I may indulge I certainly would not mind brown coloured things. 'Tis a calming colour, would you not agree?" Melbourne shifted his gaze back to Daffodil. "Now madame, I must ask. Oh and don't be shy to say if I'm intruding on your privacy here. But why in Equestria would a young pony like you wish to move to the edge of civilization? I can guarantee danger is assured out there."
  17. Morrowind. This game made my childhood and it has become my benchmark for any RPG I buy. So far only Skyrim and Mass Effect 2 have ever managed to get close to the joy and satisfaction I got from this game. I remember being so proud when I %100 the game. Like everything. Needless to say I sunk quite a few hours into this game.
  18. -I have taken more then my fare share of illicit drugs. -I have trouble making meaningful romantic connections so I compensate by sleeping around with cheap floozies. -I hate normal type pokemon.
  19. SO guys I've fleshed out most of the interface related stuff for the RP so here it is. CHARACTER BUILDING: Every character will have a beneficial trait and a hindering trait. The Inquisitor: "I am the law"- The inquisitor is an agent of the Ordo Hereticus, and as such has absolute authority and answers only to superior Inquisitors. "Tainted"- Being the one responsible for tracking heretics and followers of Chaos, an inquisitor is an easy target for the powers of chaos to corrupt. The Grey Knight: "Know No Fear"- The grey knights are demon hunters, they have seen the horrors of chaos and punch them right in the face. A Grey knight does not scare easily, in fact not at all. "Burden of the Psychic" A Grey Knight is a powerful psycer, however this means they are very sensitive to psychic attacks. The Deathwatch Assassin: "Shoot to kill"- The Deathwatch never miss their targets. Ever. "I've seen some things man"- Though Deathwatch they may be, they are but stallions, the things they've seen can often lead to Post traumatic stress disorder and bouts of insanity. The Canon: "Pure"- A colt of battle is above the temptation of chaos. "Blind"- This however makes them very ignorant. The Commisar: "Inspirational"- A Commisar could convince an Imperial Guard to do just about anything. "Mere mortal"- A Commisar is rarely augmented so don't expect them to last against anything bigger then it. The Tech-Priest: "Well prepared"- Tech-Priest's can carry more and can equip more stuff. "More machine then pony"- A Tech-Priest is susceptible to most EMP and magnets. Stats are the basic physical propitious of your character. These can't be changed once they are set. How they work is thusly. There are 12 stats; Intelligence, Purity, Strength Agility, Charisma, Honesty, Sight, Awareness, Endurance, Health, Luck, and Faith. Each has a pair that in co-exists with, for example Intelligence is coupled with Purity, if you put points into Intelligence your purity goes down. Each stat starts at five , you are given 5 extra points you may put into any stat but keep in mind that for every point you put into one stat the points of an other go down. The maximum is ten (mark where on the scale where the balance between the two stats lie's) Intelligence|++++++++++|Purity Strength|++++++++++|Agility Charisma|++++++++++|Honesty Sight|++++++++++|Awareness Endurance|++++++++++|Health Luck|++++++++++|Faith Additionally each class gets a +1 to two stats Inquisitor: +1 Charisma +1 Intelligence Grey Knight: +1 Strength +1 Health Assassin: +1 Sight +1 Agility Canon: +1 Purity +1 Faith Commisar: +1 Health +1 Luck Tech-Priest: +1 Intelligence +1 Awareness There are 12 skills, I was thinking more but I want to keep it stream lined. real simple you get to select TWO skills initially to add ten too after that each level you get to add 5 more points to which ever skill you desire. Also each skill starts at ten and the max is 100 Small Guns: Anything that shoots and is held with one hand, determines how effective and accurate you are with them. Big Guns: Two handed death machines, same as above. Melee: Swords, hammers, fists etcetera, determines effectiveness as well as technique (cool finishers etcetera) Programming: Computers are important in the future, determines how good you can hack and program things. Speech: How good of a smooth talker you are. Medicine: how well you can fix a broken leg while being shot at. Piloting: Sometimes you just need to get inside a tank and blow Sh*t up. This skill determines how good at flying a carrier or space you are or how well you drive a tank, bike etcetera. Psychic powers/Wisdom: Your ability to foresee things and read minds. Unicorns get psychic and earth ponies get wisdom. Mechanics: Your ability to fix machines, build machines etcetera. Also gun maintenance. Acrobatics: Dodging, jumping, blocking, martial arts etcetera. Your ability to move in fancy ways basically. Explosives: Your knowledge of bombs, how big the boom is and how likely you are to blow your self up. FIRE!: How good you can burn things. That's all I can think of for now, I'll update if I think of anything else to add. Please tell me if there's something that should be changed.
  20. Melbourne had anticipated a quicker departure, by the time the blimps had taken off he had already finished his novel. "So much for minimal social interaction." He thought to himself. Melbourne knew the minute he put his book down one of the other ponies would insist on small talking, at least if he initiated the friendly banter he could control the topic of the conversation. Melbourne shuffled over so as to be facing the one with the odd way of talking (Daffodil). "Good afternoon madame, 'twould seem we are to be confined to this blimp for some time, would be a shame if we did not use this time wisely. Perhaps getting to know each other would be suitable? Oh but where are my manners, my name is Atticus M. Melbourne the Third, but please call me Melbourne."
  21. Yeah that sounds good, got to keep it lore friendly though. I mean I highly doubt a Tech-Priest could wield a Thunderhammer.
  22. Hold on there partner, the load out for each class has already been decided, you can however acquire additional stuff as the story progresses. To answer your question, a Tech-priest is not a marine, they are however much more intelligent then a Tech-marine and generally have a lot more cool gadgets and gizmos.
  23. Yeah sure no problem, do you know which archetype you wish to use? Or have you not decided. It doesn't matter either way.
