    I found the name while reading through stuff on Greek mythology. Telamon was one of the Argonauts, the father of Ajax, and a friend of Hercules, so he's a pretty cool secondary character. And, I just liked how the name sounded. (I'll admit, I haven't been active much since these forums began...now it's much larger than I remember, with tons of new names. It's a bit intimidating... )

    I've thrown out the 20% cooler line, and a few other subtle references. The best response I got out of someone was this: Friend: That stupid bug bit me, I was just trying to make friends with it. Why would it do that? Me: Because friendship is not magic? Friend: Wait, is that from that pony thing? Me:...yes. Friend: Man, I really have to start watching that...

    I just love the whole setup of Canterlot, cities built into the sides of mountains are the sorts of things I used to dream up as a kid (heck, I still do). I especially love Canterlot after finding out that it was inspired by Gondor from the Lord of the Rings.

    Hi, I'm Telamon. I found out about this place through Ponychan, and I couldn't wait to get on! I'm 20, currently a student at Penn State University, and I've been a fan of MLP:FiM since sometime last October. I found out about the show through TVtropes, and started watching around when the fourth episode was aired. So, I'm also an aspiring writer, science fiction and fantasy fan, and I enjoy a good anime every now and then (Neon Genesis Evangelion, anyone?). I've also taken a great interest in science, philosophy, and the history of religions. Anyway, it's great to be here!

    Central Pennsylvania got some snow too recently. Over the weekend the mountains got a few flurries. Weather's been so weird lately, I don't think I've seen a clear sky for weeks.

    I never noticed that before. I mean, I knew they re-used sounds from other episodes in the show (Fluttershy's squeak in the first episode is re-used in A Bird in the Hoof, for example). On another note, that video is pretty darn funny
