  1. when I was a kid, I always liked rainbow brite and the care bears... which, if anyone recalls, both had some pretty gnarly adventures and nasty adversaries to overcome much akin to G1 MLP.
  2. I really like her....... maaaaaa(crack)aaaaaneeee...? (dangit character limit... typing stuff to fill in the gap... i'm sorry, it's not my fault)
  3. but you look a little deeper and you will see that I'm just like you and you're just like me YEAH! (helping twilight win the crown is def best song of the movie)
  4. my nephew (going on 6) watches the show whenever I put it on the TV or the computer when I ask him if he likes it, he says no lol he still watches it whenever its on tho
  5. I think that's the core of why RD's personality is attractive. She's Tsundere. Not only tsundere, but also she doesn't openly embrace her feminine side. think about it. the whole appeal to a tsundere, that while they are cold, guarded and sometimes bitchy on the outside, they will show certain special treatment towards you... or, your relationship with them will develop to a point where you get that special treatment. also, to get someone like RD to start embracing her feminine side more frequently would also be a reinforcement to their special regard for you.. it's all kind of just reaffirmation to your ego that "hey, this person is making exceptions for me, and treating me special" Applejack's personality (i also find attractive) is more of a quintessential southern belle she's kind, hospitable, and empathetic... but, she's also a bit rough and tumble.. she's not afraid to do what needs to be done or get dirty doing it. women are often portrayed as back-stabbing, gossipy manipulative bitches and unfortunately, there are a lot out there that fit this stereotype... I think that's why most of the mane 6 have appealing qualities to their personalities. I forget where I read/heard this but someplace someone had asked the question as to why so many older men liked MLP. They rationalized that the mane 6 triggered a protective instinct in men. Ponies are cute, but vulnerable to some extent because of their character flaws. They also have well rounded personalities, and put value in things that are often forgotten by today's generation. hasn't anyone else felt frustrated by most women's obsession with reality TV, tabloids, celebrity gossip, or otherwise cat-like behavior? or am I the only one? ..sorry if this ends up being a thread jack
  6. Rainbow Dash = the pony version of Laina Walker? quick, somepony make overly-attached-pony-waifu meme pictures I'll waive my normal royalty fees
  7. ok ok, i'll attest... sweetie belle's voice cracks are absolutely adorable I'd be lying if I said I never watched a compilation video of all her voice cracks on youtube
  8. yea goofy drunks are fun i'm one of these as well get a bunch of good friend goofy mofos together, and it's a lot of laughs and a good time.
  9. also, it helps to start with something a bit sweeter if you want to work your way into drinking. I used to only drink Ciders... woodchuck and magners are pretty decent beer's taste never goes away... you just get used to it. after I got kind of 'over' the more sweet drinks, I went on a hunt for a beer I actually really liked. Heineken is pretty good Dos Equis is also pretty good those are really the only two beers I really enjoy. I'll drink a corona if I have to but prefer one of the above instead.
  10. I didn't start drinking until I was 28 if i'm being completely honest, it wasn't really for great reasons. if I'm putting a bit of a positive spin on it, I wanted to try something new that (for the most part) is harmless. getting drunk to the point of being sick is not fun. been there a few times, it sucks. getting buzzed is pretty fun tho. however, everything in moderation. you can drink without getting messed up all the time. Plenty of days I'll drink 2 or 3 after work while playing video games or watching netflix. in social situations, it can take some of your anxiety away. so, that to me is a benefit to some degree. however, if you're looking for anything resembling a meaningful interaction or the building blocks of a friendship/relationship with someone with alcohol as a primary ingredient, don't set your hopes too high.
  11. it was my first real exposure to the fandom that extended beyond a computer screen. makes me want to go to brony con even more and meet and talk to other bronies, and just finally let loose
  12. I count my lucky stars that a theater was within an hour of my house. the cameos alone made the movie so much more fun I was trying to pick them all out but wow I was overwhelmed.
  13. oh, everyone was pretty quiet during the movie. definitely good movie 'manners' but before the show everyone was just singing songs from the show... actually, about 5 or 8 boys and girls who actually sounded pretty good. I HAD to sing along lol and, they were singing the find a pet song... def one of my favorites if they were singing the smile song, or a true true friend I probably would have went nuts def some pointing out of background ponies.. but not disruptive announcements... although I did get quite excited and announced when I spotted derpy in the halls of the high school.
  14. So I wanted to see Equestria Girls. I found a theater reasonably close to me and after some careful thought I decided to talk my niece in to coming along.. just as a 'decoy' of sorts in case it was full of moms and daughters. wow, was I completely wrong as to what I was walking in to. as we walked into the theater I could hear a commotion and a pretty diverse group of people, old and young, boys and girls. what was the commotion? they were singing MLP songs so I did the only reasonable thing a brony could do. I sang along. This is my first 'mass' public brony experience I've ever had. I loved every second of it. it was great being there with other people... MY people =D I brohoofed a complete stranger cuz he had a Rarity hat on complete with ears and horn. oh, and the movie was pretty sweet too, I enjoyed it a lot.
  15. scootaloo I like her look and character design. Plus, she looks up to RD my fav pony... so a lot of times when Scoots gushes about RD, I agree with her lol but, Sleepless in Ponyville put her at the top of the CMC for me. Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle have older sisters.. I always kind of felt sorry for Scootaloo because she didn't have anyone to be there for her in the same way. I always suspected her and RD would get close, but nothing to the effect of what happened in Sleepless in Ponyville.
