you dont have to be a unicorn to be an alicorn. Princess Cadance was a pegasus before becoming an alicorn. This is shown in the cannon book Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell I've thought about this, and I think it might be wear they were the original discovers of the elements of harmony, it might also have something to do with them originally having 3 elements each, unlike the main 6 who only control 1 a piece.

Okay horses are never shown to actually live in Equestia, instead coming from a foriegn country. But there has to be some interaction between the citizens of Equestia and the horses because of mules. The only way to get a mule is male donkey+female horse. This shows that either a few horses live in Equestria, or that the mules have come from this other country okay just disregard this i had a derpy moment -_- i mean really I realized how stupid this was right after i posted it srry guys......

Yea I'll support that, afterall we don't really see any ponies besides fillies that are blank flanks, so maybe getting a cutie mark is a passage way to becoming an adult pony. You know this would also explain why age spells would only be for the highest level unicorns.

Immortal ponies? Hasn't it been shown that Apple Jacks parent's are dead? Whats more is that Granny Smith herself implies death when she says that she might not get to attend another Apple Family Reunion. However Ponies are shown to be able to live for hundreds of years. As Twilight says that ponies in Ponyvile have wrapped up winter without magic for hundreds of years, and Granny Smith apparently founded Ponyvile.

Even though this is more of a joke people have called Celestia a tyrant, and well I'm going to try to explain why this isn't so (even though she has been ruler for 1000+ years) In Hearth's Warming Eve it is shown that the entire unicorn tribe has to be present in order to raise, and lower the sun/moon. To me this shows that doing this takes an enormous amount of energy, probably leaving the unicorns tired for most of the day/night, as a result of being to tired to do anything the unicorns wouldn't of really been able to learn their special talent, or explore it. (so maybe even no cutie marks in the Hearth's Warming Eve time period) Of course there would be some exceptions, Star Swirl and Clover the Clever. Then sometime after the founding of Equestia Discord takes over (we all know this) so if the unicorns weren't able to explore their talents before, they defintely wouldn't be able to when Discord was in control. Then Celestia and Luna turn him to stone. Now I can think of two things behind this. Celestia and Luna were either born alicorns, and had been watching the events in Equestia as they unfolded from a different location, or they became alicorns as of discovering the Elements of Harmony. After this Celestia, and Luna take the duties of the entire unicorn tribe under them, and later only Celestia performs the actions of what took the entire unicorn tribe. Now that the unicorns primary role in ancient, and pre-Eguestria has been taken over by Celestia they have time to actually explore their powers, and special talents. This can also be explained, because think about it. Unicorns seem to be the most diverse in what they do( although I'm not 100% sure on this as earth ponies have been shown to now be in many different hobbies beside their original job as farmers, but I think that this might just be a population thing as more earth ponies seem to be around then unicorns, or pegasi) Pegasi seem to constantly help,and be required to be weather workers, even if there cutie mark doesn't require them to do so. So back to the original point. I don't think Celestia should be seen so much as a tyrant, but as someone who has given a great deal of self sacrifice, in the form of her devoting the rest of her existance to raising and lowering the sun allowing other ponies to live their life as they choose. Oh don't forget Luna she deserves credit for self sacrifice to.

Ok one of the main reasons everyone says Discord is Star Swirl is because Discord can time travel. Now when is Discord shown to time travel? If he ever does I can't find it, and if Discord can time travel so what? So can Twilight, and any other unicorn that is strong enough, and has access to the Canterlot Library. Now as far as Discord being Star Swirl, I've not decided about what side I stand on that, though I think this debunks the whole time travel stuff, atleast partly.

well really in truly if they just stuck him in the credits it would've got a huge response, have you seen the reaction video to derpy in the credits? Yes I am aware that she as in the movie itself, but the credits appearance was easier to see.

well ik that this is farfetched but I'll tell you something possible. I recently found a mcdonalds toy from when the series first started (guess i was a brony before i knew it) if mcdonalds ever does something like this again buy a couple of happymeals, and just hide away the toy inside, of course this is only if Mcdonalds ever had pony toys again. Besides that just be really sneaky about buying them, maybe order them online, have them sent to a friends house( if they know your a brony) pick up the toy there, then sneak it back to your house.

You know I wonder how many of these Moms are dedictated fans of shows like Dance Moms, Wicked Moms etc( in which the parents try to life their life through their kid, and even when their child is a baby make treat it like its their own little puppet that they can do whatever they want with it)you get my idea, and then they tell their kids not to watch something like MLP? Well then they shouldn't be allowed to watch any children T.V. shows because I for one have seen some pretty disturbing cartoon stuff drawn, and written by older fans of different shows. Well I must of said it wrong, I'm not saying that modern pegasi are being sent to a school to learn to fight, I'm saying that the pegasi are being sent to the flight school/ flight camp. We see the flight camp in a few flashbacks with Fluttershy, and Rainbowdash, and it seems that many young pegasi were a part of it.
