    I would say so. He's a very capable writer — getting the story down, solidifying the pacing (for the most part), and reaching the conclusion at the best possible moment. Moreover, he's easily the best Applejack writer on the team; all three episodes featuring her are more or less flawless, the weakest point being Leap of Faith where she was hit with the mildly stupid stick. However, his biggest weak point is following the cliché down the letter. If you watched Castle Mane-ia, Simple Ways, and Leap of Faith, you watched any other episode from other mediums that follow the same pattern. Each episode is a bare-boned, paint-by-number, bullet-point list in a dress. The first time is okay (in CM-ia, he got the characterization and humor done correctly). But to repeat the story without being all that unique doesn't give FIM justice. He plays way too safe, and he can't do that anymore come next season (if he intends to write for FIM next year).

    HeadOn's headline, "Apply directly to the forehead," was also a slogan. Of course, it wouldn't have been a problem if they didn't reiterate it to the point of ad nauseum!

    If there's one big thing about WQG that disappoints me the most, it's the fact that Spike had his best characterization in that movie. He was smart, intelligent, snarky, and funny — all four attributes tht perfectly fit him. It's disappointing that his best role is in such a crappy movie, and no other role from him since then has come close to being just as good, Simple Ways being the closest.

      He was characterized well in For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils too, despite his miniscule role, but yea EQG was probably his best outing.

    As a baseball fan, one of O.co Coliseum's biggest problems lately is the plumbing. For at least the third time in about ten months, the locker rooms had to be quarantined because of raw sewage. I pulled a prank on some friends of mine telling them that the coliseum was closed down by the government for at least two months to check and fix the piping problems that plague the near-fifty-year-old multi-purpose park. When they asked me where the A's will be playing during that time, I said, "I wish I knew," and revealed the joke.
