  1. When it comes to single player shooters DOOM and Wolfenstein - These games have aged like wine over the years! Doom especially, I first played this when I was 5 years old and it has NEVER ceased to get old! I also love the community that has made all these mods over the years for Doom. Also for any Doom fans get the Brutal Doom mod, while Doom is already an awesome experience the Brutal Doom mod will enhance it 10 fold! JUST LOOK AT THIS BEAUTY!! Also get ZDaemon if you want to play Doom on multiplayer. I've actually tried it and it's pretty fun. Problem is none of my friends seem to want to play, it's always modern games with them. Seriously guys, there's nothing wrong with playing older games, you'll always find something that's pretty fun to play. When it comes to multiplayer shooters Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad/Rising Storm This is a game that I love because of its realism and I'm not talking about CoD or Battlefield realism I mean REALISM. There's no recovering health, you either bandage yourself up to stop the bleeding or you will bleed to death and that's only if the would isn't fatal. You actually have to watch where you get hit. Also the hud won't tell you how ammo you have in your magazine, you actually have to check the magazine yourself and it won't give you a specific number, only that it's full, close to full, half full or close to empty. There's no crosshair so you'll have to half to rely on your iron sights or else you'll pretty much be firing blind. The covering system is also handled realistically, you half to peak from your cover to aim and shoot at a target or if you have a SMG you also have the option to blindly fire from cover. It even extends to Machine guns like the Browning 50. Cal and MG-42, if you continuously fire and your barrel overheats it's useless and you'll have to replace it. As for tanks (which is exclusive to the Eastern Front) if you decide to take the position of tank commander it's best that you get other players to form a tank crew or else you'll be shifting positions to get from the driver's seat to a weapon (and it'll show you shifting positions in First Person as well, they went as far as to recreate the entire interior of the tank). I have to say while it's very VERY realistic it has proven to be one of the funnest shooters if not THE funnest shooter I have ever played, especially if you like to think and strategize in your shooters. Whoever likes shooters give this a shot! Other than that Battlefield 1942 Battlefield 2 Battlefield Bad Company 2 (Plus Vietnam expansion) Team Fortress 2 ...You know this is kind of hilarious when you think about it. For someone who loves a show about magical talking ponies that go around on adventures and spread a message of friendship, love and tolerance a lot of the movies, comics and games I enjoy are pretty damn violent in comparison. XD
  2. I'll definitely pick up Verdun after BronyCan And unfortunately for most of the old MOH games (including the great Allied Assault which still had plenty of players) they were a victim of EA's multiplayer purge! So far the fans of Battlefield 2 and 1942 have replaced the master servers EA has taken out the other games don't seem to be so lucky though. If you do play WAW again I'll gladly play ya in a Zombie Match.
  3. I've actually been playing in the Pacific Theater more than the Eastern Front myself. I don't know really what it is but for whatever reason I just prefer playing in Pacific. I'm actually waiting for that RO2 mod In Country: Vietnam, I haven't really seen that many Vietnam multiplayer games aside from Battlefield Vietnam (which is now offline sadly), Bad Company 2 Vietnam and CoD Black Ops which only has a couple of maps set in 'Nam. Really I think the setting would fit RO2's type of gameplay (that and I'm sucker for using the A1 model of the M16 for some odd reason. XD) I actually know how you feel about WWII shooters though, I personally love them and can't seem to find that many that has a strong multiplayer setting aside from BF1942, RO2 and Dino D Day (a goofy WWII shooter with Dinosaurs). CoD: World at War's and MoH Airborn's multiplayer seems pretty much dead and I have yet to try out Sniper Elite but hey I'm getting of topic, I've pretty much have been getting tired of the Modern Warfare setting myself, It's pretty much become the most common setting and it's almost always against Russia, meanwhile the Civil War, World War I, Korean War and Vietnam settings are continuously ignored and I would love to play games in those settings. I know what the complaint against World War I shooters are (Trench Warfare) but I've actually seen it work via World War I: Source. It's actually pretty fun.
  4. Just got off of Rising Storm, I made for a pretty nasty machine gunner! Love that game! Seriously you guys should get it!

  5. Any Battlefield Bad Company 2 or Red Orchestra 2 players online right now?

  6. Okay that may have prevented school shootings but from the people I've talked to in the UK and from news reports I've seen handgun crime actually went up after handguns were banned. Here in Canada, we allow citizens to own Rifles and Shotguns and we don't have any problems with school shootings over here.
  7. To play the Devil's Advocate that's getting kind of hard to do when jobs are being exported to China. Hell, up here in Canada the government set up this foreign worker program (which I believe should be abolished) that's really making it hard to get a job over here. For example you have places like Tim Horten's and McDonald's that are taking advantage of it by hiring foreigners over locals because employers can pay them less.
  8. Your right to free speech won't get you executed. The death penalty is reserved for acts of murder and in all honesty I'm pretty neutral on the death penalty myself. Yes, I have often believed that it's completely backwards but then you've got monsters like that guy who shot up the Aurora Theater and killed 12 people and I think that people that do horrific acts like that deserve to be killed outright!
  9. That and you can argue Japan had it coming due to the amount of horrific acts they committed at the time such as the Rape of Nanking, the Bataan Death March, the Attack on Pearl Harbor and of course there's Unit 731 which performed many horrific experiments that they make the doctors and members of the Waffen SS that worked at AUSCHWITZ look humane in comparison!
  10. League of Legends and Fire Emblem. I want to get into them and all, they're games my gaming buddies love to talk about but I just can't get into strategy games turn based or real time and it's a shame. LoL's hostile community doesn't really help matters either. I'm also in the crowd who can't get into Anime and Manga. I used to be a big Anime fan too but nowadays I really can't get into it anymore. There's a couple of old ones that I like, Trigun, Cowboy Beebop, Gundam Wing and SEED being a few examples and Full Metal Alchemist 2K3 and Brotherhood are personal favorites of mine but nowadays there just doesn't seem to be that many that really catch my interest. I don't really care about Kill la Kill and I gave Attack on Titan a shot but I couldn't stand it. I also look back at some of the ones I used to watch like Samurai Deeper Kyo, Bleach and Naruto and I realized that they're crap! I actually quit watching Bleach and Naruto because of how stupid they were getting! I still remember the things that threw me off of Naruto! An Akatsuki Member comes in and destroys the villiage and Naruto has one talk with him and he's like "I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT I SHALL BRING EVERYONE I KILLED TODAY BACK TO LIFE!!". To me was so stupid that I actually stopped reading for a long while and then I gave it a second chance! What happened? The Leader brings back the all the dead characters for a zombie war. At that point I was totally done! What a shoddy excuse for a series!
  11. I just played Nazo no Murasame Jō (or The Mysterious Murasame Castle) for Famicom and I have to say it's hard. I haven't even gotten past the first level.

  12. Okay I'm stuck on The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening DX. Does anyone know how to get rid of that Lazy Walrus blocking the road?

  13. I swear these wireless mice have a horrendous battery life!! They're almost as bad as Game Gears!!

    1. Creamy Arty

      Creamy Arty

I hear the Logitech G602 is fantastic on battery life. My Performance MX... not so much. xD

  14. Buying refurbished systems (a PSP and a 360) from EB games. Neither worked and they wouldn't let me return the systems unless I payed full price for a new system or replaced them with another refurbished system (that also most likely won't work). Needless to say I'm never EVER buying any refurbished systems from EB ever again. I would stop shopping there entirely but unfortunately they're the only store that has the best prices when it comes to buying games on the cheap and I really don't like having to shop online often.
  15. I'm getting on Team Fortress 2. Anyone up for a CTF Battle?!

  16. Blegh!! Just got stuck in Link's Awakening! Damn Walrus!! ):<

  17. It depends, If you're looking for a movie that's fun and entertaining this movie does it's job very well and I highly recommend it. BUT if you are looking for a very strong story then this movie is not for you.
  18. And now I have risen from the dead!!

  19. Another heat-wave's coming up!

  20. Goodnight ya'll! enjoy you're morning/noon/afternoon/night/whatever time of day it is where you live! I'm going to sleep!

  21. Super Mario Bros. The Movie and Batman & Robin!
  22. I really need to get better at using Bolt-Action Sniper rifles in games like Red Orchestra 2, Team Fortress 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2, etc.. I like using them but I can be a real crap-shot. NEVER USING THEM IN COD THOUGH!! In a run-&-gun Multi-player game like that you're pretty much screwed as a sniper.

  23. I love Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening DX!!
