  1. Best tee shirt I ever wore... this : Nuff' Said
  2. Since I'm in an El Paso hotel, the song this time we be about a person who who died here: He trav'led with a gun in ev'ry hand, All along this countryside, He opened a many a door, But he was never known, To hurt a honest man.

  3. If I hand write something, I often will use cursive. But it depends on what I'm doing, if I'm writing my own notes I might well use cursive. If there where a "cursive option" for laptops I could answer the poll in the affirmative.
  4. A brony college.... I think we'd have to wait till a College for Otakus (even though an anime fan; I find such a concept nightmarish) is opened, to present such an idea. Although in ten years I'm sure some major American university will offer a credit course involving MLP somehow.... They got them for Star Trek if I remember right. At least a Potato powered light might get you a participation ribbon in an elementary school science fair, so I would consider that far more useful. @@SpaceOnion, Considering that we live in a time when, as an example; a Star Trek fan will swear up and down about how awesome a cashless society will be in the near future, then spends large quantities of cash buying fan geared crap that feeds into a consumerist society without showing the slightest amount of cognitive dissonance ( much like buying a Che Guevara t-shirt at hot topic)... can't say I'm surprised at finding such attitudes everywhere among fandoms, although it does seem more prevalent among Bronies. But at least it's not as disconcerting as the average political party election campaign.
  5. I'm from Texas, and while she isn't my favorite character on the show, I still very much like her character. Heck, I have a Great Aunt that is very much like AJ in terms of personality. Grew up during the Depression to a family of farmers, was the first in her family to get a college degree, taught high school English until she retired; although she remained incredibly active even during retirement, and while she is a few years shy of 100 she still has it together more so than many who are half her age. So yeah AJ doesn't offend me... The type of person who gets offended by AJ is the type of person who I suspect isn't aware of their own cultural atmosphere; which, while hard, isn't impossible ( it's a little like hearing your own voice, you basically have to listen to a recording of yourself, and you are generally shocked by the sound at first).
  6. Now starting a new game as my status updates 'identify the song lyric!': "And if my thought-dreams could been seen, They'd probably put my head in a guillotine"

That was the Bob Dylan song, it's alright Ma I'm only bleeding.

  7. The date of Christ's birth was misplaced... honestly because Easter was much more important for the vast majority of Church history for obvious reasons ( that and you can date the Passion because the Last Supper took place on Passover). In terms of year it couldn't have been anything after 4 BC because Scripture itself identifies the figure of Herod the Great who died in 4 BC, as the ruler of Palestine at the time. Using this and Herod's order to kill infants under the age of two in Bethlehem after learning the Magi (who visited Christ sometime after his birth but whilst he was in Bethlehem; and yes, the Scripture only indicates there was more than one. Three is likely assumed by many due to the number of gifts they brought, I'd imagine) gave him the slip, would likely put the year of Christ's birth at about 6 BC. Santa Claus comes from Sinterklaas, itself a dialectal pronunciation of Saint Nicholas. The character of Santa Claus itself does come from a number of stories about the person Saint Nicholas in the original form although a number of things from various folk figures were added on as the centuries went by and the modern form is largely due to an early 19th century American political cartoonist Thomas Nast.
  8. Yes Virginia Santa Claus is real.... Although his actual name is Saint Nicholas and was a Bishop during the 4th century in what is now Turkey; and was known for signing the Nicene Creed and being generous to the poor.
  9. No I don't like Les Miserables, now stop asking!
