Mario kart 8 did help a little, but it didn't save the Wii U, it is still suffering, and the video games come out way to slow, almost every three months we get a new game, which is unacceptable, Nintendo need to wake up and start marketing the bloody system, forget about the 3ds for a little bit and put all your attention on the Wii U. Nintendo's next console might be a failure too, because third parties are never coming back. most of Nintendo's fans have left them for playstation and Xbox, meaning Nintendo has nothing but their hardcore fans left, which isn't much really.

Metroid and F-zero are very niche franchises, I doubt they would move consoles, also, I fear that bayonetta 2 and devil's third might flop, because Nintendo gamers only buy Nintendo games and nothing else, so that means that Bayonetta 2 and devil's third will flop, sad really, Nintendo fanboys are the reason why no other companies want to support Nintendo platforms. Terrible Marketing, which Nintendo is not bothering to fix, also, the media saying that the Wii U is doomed, meaning, people will avoid the Wii U in fear that Nintendo might drop the support for the system because of the horrible sales. Horrible marketing, that Nintendo hasn't bothered to fix, also, the stupid media, spouting BS, claiming the Nintendo is doomed.

What can save the Wii U? well, I don't know anymore, Mario didn't save the Wii U, and he always saves Nintendo's consoles, also, I don't think smash bros is going to save the Wii U, it's on the 3ds, the 3ds version is more affordable and the 3ds has a bigger install base, which means, the Wii U version of smash will be ignored and won't boost console sales as much as everyone is making it out to be. Legend of Zelda Wii U might help a bit, but, Legend of Zelda isn't as popular or as mainstream as the Mario franchise, but It will help, but only a little. also, because of media preaching "Doom and gloom", the Wii U is getting avoided and a lot of people are jumping on the Wii U hate band wagon, which won't help it sales wise. also, people say that Nintendo rehash, I will give them that, the Mario franchise is pretty repetitive, but his 3d games are somewhat different. I just don't know what will 'save' the Wii U anymore, if Mario can't save it, nothing will, I think It might continue suffering.

Since the upload of the 'Mario is mental' theory, people have been hating on Mario and refusing to buy his games anymore, and the game theory fans go onto almost every Mario video and say "Mario is evil, Mario is a bad brother, Mario is an animal abuser", they are spreading the word, millions know about it now. I enjoy matpat's content (Game theory), but it gets annoying when people quote his theories on video's relating to the game/character he based his theory around. I like Mario, but when I say that I like Mario on a game theory video, people call me a murder supporter and I love animal abuse and all that BS. I hope you can answer my question, do you think that game theory has killed the Mario franchise? (this might be an obscure topic, but I really want to hear what you have to say).- 47 replies

I agree, That's why I'm getting the Wii U version, I played the smash demo on the 3ds, I don't like the controls.

I think the Wii U will continue suffering after this holiday, Smash usually boosts consoles sky high, but now that smash is available on the 3ds for a cheaper price, I think that version is what people are going to go for, parents won't buy a Wii U for their kids just for smash, they will buy the 3ds edition because it is cheaper. I still have hope in the Wii U don't get me wrong, it still has Zelda, star fox and pokemon (pokken) up it's sleeve. but those come out later next year, and those franchises are not as big and as well known as Mario (excluding pokemon). Maybe the Wii U edition will have exclusive characters, maybe Sakurai is just trolling us, who knows. there is this rumour going around about a mode in smash Wii U called 'Tower of Smash', it sounds interesting, look it up.

Well, there is this leak about the Wii U version of smash bros., I will show it to you, but before you start saying "Oh, it's just fake", listen to me for a second, Sakurai revealed a stage called game and Wario, this stage is in the leak, and this leak came out before Sakurai posted the reveal of the stage. Edit: it won't let me post the picture, damn, can somebody tell me how to post a pic. Edit again: well, my image can't be displayed, well then, type in "Tower of smash" on google images and click on the first image, the one that looks like a 4chan comment section.

Well, Pokken hasn't really been confirmed to be on Wii U yet. also, bayonetta 2 won't boost Wii U sales, it might be a flop. Hyrule warriors didn't boost Wii U sales. Zelda will help, star fox will help, but after that, I don't know what will boost it. I hope the Wii U will be a success, but I don't see that happening judging by the sales.

I don't know how Smash bros for Wii U is going to save the Wii U, I mean, it's on the 3Ds, people are going to go for that version and leave the poor Wii U version in the dust. If smash bros 4 was a Wii U exclusive, it would have saved it, Nintendo shot themselves in the foot with this stupid decision. I don't know what will save the Wii U now.

Captain falcon, Robin and lucina have been announced, chrom has been deconfirmed. I don't know who Robin or lucina are, I know that they are from fire emblem, but I have never played fire emblem. they look awesome though.

Honestly, I really liked this E3, I am not an Xbox or playstation fan but I have to admit that they did really well (Except the playstation Tv crap), My favourite part of the xbox conference was Halo 2 anniversary, As for playstation, Uncharted 4 and littlebigplanet 3, Nintendo was my favourite out of the three (In my opinion), super smash bros, Mario Maker, Hyrule warriors, Yoshi's wooley world and my personal favourite.....The legend of Zelda wii u, Also they Teased the starfox U at the end of the Digital event (very exciting). They also announced this amiibo thing, looks really cool for collectors. What made me angry at E3 this year was Project Spark, At the end of the trailer the showed conker the squirrel, he sliced this games logo in half With a chainsaw, Then I got all hyped because I thought this was actually a trailer for conker but no, It was still this project spark thing, DISAPPOINTMENT.\ What were your favourite parts of E3 this year.
