  1. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10588409/1/The-Nesting-Pony I don't do fanfics. I've always wanted to, but I don't. Didn't. Anyway. Here it is. The first chapter of my MLP fanfic. It's just about my OC's backstory, although I'm sure the mane six will put in the occasional appearances in the following chapters. I'm not good at writing plot summaries, sorry, so if you are so kind as to give my fanfic a shot, you'll be flying blind. I also don't know the best way to post this on here. I've seen other people do fanfiction.net links, but if it's better to do this as an attached word document I can do that too. I'm flying blind as well, I guess. Also it's past midnight, and I am tired. And rambling. The end.
  2. I just posted my first fanfic ever, and I'm alternating between "I hope no one ever sees it ever in the history of ever" and "Maybe someone will think it's good". Gaah! Why on earth did I think this was a good idea?

Ah yes, I remember that feeling. Believe me, it's not as bad as you think.

  3. Ain't nothing wrong with it as long as your story is original, not an archetypal mish mash of a thousand dead ideas. I actually think that in those areas, especially with high school stories, there's a lot left untold, and I for one would appreciate a story that offers a fresh perspective on these topics. Creative liberty for all!
  4. I wish I had a crush on someone. There ain't any good guys in Wyoming, though. This place crushes the soul out of you.
  5. My mascot now in college is super boring. We're the Cowboys, and we're saddled with brown and gold. Yay. The one for the high school I graduated from was worse though, because it was a knockoff of the college, which is in the same town. We were the Plainsmen, maroon and gold, and I cannot tell you how much that sucked. Especially for the girls. No girl wants to be identified as a "Laramie High PlainsMAN". And when you play sports, they call you the "Lady PlainsMEN", which is a contradiction in itself. Just weird, man. And since when is a farmer or rancher a good mascot for an educational institution? I mean, nothing against farmers, but they are not usually thought of as symbols of intellectual attainment. Freshman year, though, when I lived in Colorado, we had the coolest freaking mascot ever. We wore purple, silver, and black, and we were the DCC THUNDER. Much better than glorified farmers.
  6. Heck yes I can! I also watched a few animes, that way I can pretend I'm cultured.
  7. You guys. Netflix has Sharknado. \(>o<)ノ

  8. I must not put gummy bears in my mint chocolate ice cream. I must not put gummy bears in my mint chocolate ice cream. Oh the temptation! My brain knows the flavors don't mix, but my stupid doesn't care!

  9. I would never tell anyone this IRL, but I like watching really bad Disney Channel Movies. My favorites are Radio Rebel, Lemonade Mouth, and Another Cinderella Story. I know they're poorly written, not to mention extremely juvenile, but I just love the simple plots and character stereotypes. What about you? What's your secret guilty pleasure? Keep it clean, though.
  10. I used to live in Colorado, and for the first year in that house I slept in the basement room. It was a new house, relatively, and nothing bad that I know of ever happened there, but let me tell you, that room had some very bad vibes. Very late at night, I would hear noises like footsteps overhead, or sawing on the pipes, or even something scratching from the other side of the walls. One time as I was sitting up reading, something even whispered in my ear. I couldn't catch the words, just ran for it. And then finally, one night I was just about to drift off to sleep when everything on my shelving unit fell to the floor on its own. It made a lot of noise, and it lasted for several minutes. The whole time I was just lying there, frozen because I was so scared. It took me forever to get to sleep, and when I woke up the next morning, everything was right back in its place. So, do I believe in ghosts? Yes and no. I believe that there is some form of spiritual energy, maybe from departed human souls, maybe from an entirely different race of creatures, that from time to time affects our lives. Malicious or not, dangerous or not, I'm sure there's some other side to our universe, just on the fringes of our perception.
  11. Quick Question: what is the usage potential of a pony's tail? I'm writing an MLP fanfic, and I just want to know if the ponies can, like, hold things with their tails. In the first episode Twilight's tail was strong enough for Spike to slide down, but do you guys think that was just an anomaly for comedic purposes or an actual indication for usage of ponies' tails? I know it's an odd question, but any help on this subject would be much appreciated.

I lean towards the thought that it's mostly there for aesthetic purposes.

Other than maybe balance, I can't think of a major role their tails have played in an episode.

      Kk. Thanks guys. :)

  12. So, my grandma thought I was turning twenty tomorrow, instead of nineteen. To bad she got the shaped candles. Now we're stuck with a useless two and a zero. Oh well. Save them for next year.

I wanted to try and carve the candles into the right shapes. It could sort of work. And it would be fun. And require the use of knives. I think that's why gramma rejected the idea, though. Nobody trusts me with knives. :P

  13. I never thought I'd fall in love... with a glittery goblin king. Who's also a fictional character. Why do I always go for the weird ones?

  14. I just realized the shorts that I was wearing around the house while the carpet cleaners were in have a huge hole right square on the but part. Ploppers!

I can only hope so. Dangit. One of them was hot, too. :(

  15. It's so hot in here! Curse this third floor apartment with such a sad amount of windows!

Maybe I'll change into my swimsuit and sit in the bathtub, like a really sad kiddie pool.

    2. The Crimson Cross

Mm... I usually have a cold shower when the heat bothers me. That may actually be a better version of the kiddie pool.

  16. So... apparently people can bury amputated limbs in a cemetery and that's normal. Is it strange to say my mind has been blown by this pathetically insignificant revelation? I mean, there are boxes out there with just arms or legs in them, or whatever else it is people amputate. I wonder if you hold a service for that kind of thing.

    1. The Crimson Cross

      The Crimson Cross

Hmm... I never actually thought about it this way.

    2. Phoenix Flair

      Phoenix Flair

Neither did I! Probably because there's no point in it, though. And still my mind is blown for no reason. Ah well. Trivia is still fun.

  17. Any fellow night owls out there? What's your favorite thing to nom on when you're burning the midnight oil?
  18. I think my most expensive dream is going to be getting a double major in college. Thank goodness for scholarships.
  19. I just found out my apartment's laundry room doubles as a sauna when the dryer is on. I am totally going to spend all winter in there. Probably gonna cost me a lot of quarters, though.

I'm so jealous. It's winter in Australia right now!

Though warm clothes on a cold morning is always a treat.

  21. Trying to really get into this fandom thing, and I think I finally understand "canon". Mostly. Okay, not mostly. But probably at least 43%. That's a lot better than my understanding of moe.

      The Crimson Cross

Only 57% to go then! XD

  22. @Pinkamena-Pills Nice gif! Your profile pic is a little distracting from the cheer, though. And a little horrifying. In a good way.
  23. Thanks so much, guys! It's really nice to feel welcomed right off. It's nice to meet you all.
  24. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Rarity How did you find MLP Forums?: I googled some obscure, debatable fact about MLP for research, since I'm writing an OC fanfic, and I landed on this site. I figured, "What the hay, might as well." How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I used to mock bronies, then decided on my own to check it out, because you shouldn't just reject something you have no experience in. As luck would have it, I loved the show. I have now seen all four seasons. Umm... what is there to say? I'm a student at the University of Wyoming, starting my second year as an almost official Computer Science major. I've only been a brony for a couple months, so bear with me if I get some fandom nuances wrong. I like writing, so I'm working up the nerve to do a few fanfics. I'd like to make a few internet friends since I'm a complete Fluttershy IRL, so I'd love to chat or message or however people contact people on here. I'm almost always online since I am a jobless loser scholarship student. Other than that... hullo everypony.
