Not that we've ever spoken at all but seriously, his hoof must be tired. Mega respect to one that gives lots of respect /) SCS.... OOOPS! wrong one. SCS - This community is so fantastic and full of awesomeness we even have a sofa dealer on here. Could I place an order for the Endurance Infinity 3 Seater Sofa in black? Me and my lovely Derpy would enjoy sitting on that together. Please.... get away, Koukatsu. But really, I shouldn't have favoritism, even though I barely know the majority of this forums, I still see you all as a big family. Give it time and I'll start knowing more of you guys/girls.
  5. Okay, I was having a chat about this earlier so here I go. Could we have special member groups for the different Ponies/characters? like I was thinking, having a Derpy member group for the super dedicated Derpy fans, etc. But could it be done so that each group has it's own leader that can sort out the members who get added in/taken out? that way if this was done, no stress would be put on the staff and it can be done efficiently. I know I know, it doesn't exactly benefit the forums BUT, it does add to that user experience and this is something I'd really love to have. As for the one that are in charge of each group, that honor could go to the founder/who first mentioned the group for the respectful character. Like I said though, it might not benefit the forums itself but it does add to that user experience. We all know me and Koukatsu would be for Derpy and Jeric for Rarity (we know you secretly love her). In seriousness; it would give us more of a pleasure to being here, not that it's a pleasure anyway
  6. If I may make a suggestion here. As you can't presently put topics in a protected status like you can for sub forums, I'd see it best to create a new sub forum for personal data type topics, (probably below the Life Advice one). We have topics like the 'Skype exchange master thread', 'post a picture of yourself' and even a 'What's your sexuality?' topic. All of which contains personal data that a lot might not want any random user to see. Sure it's one of these things where if you don't want any random user to know stuff about you, don't post it, however I don't think every member thinks about these things when they do make posts in such topics or don't want to be worrying about random users. Moving all personal data topics into a protected sub forums would be more efficient in my opinion. Just a simply idea that is already do-able as of now.
  7. Well, I finally done a HD vector of Super AJ. Her super form does look the best compared to the others
  8. I've noticed you get quite a few suggestions here and there so i don't want to add to that stress. This can be a future idea for Poniverse, still I wanted to bring this up early so it gets enough thought. Recently I've been speaking with Artemis via Skype and I brought up the idea of the network having a master ribbon. I've become aware that there maybe plans on how the layout and design will be. Still, I thought I could chip in here to see what I can come up with and I ended up with a magnificent master ribbon that simply looks gorgeous and goes great with the current design of the forums and network. But the design is just part of the idea. As this is a network, I had the idea of implementing a master ribbon that appears on each of the network sites and allows quick navigation from site to site. plus the member controls (inbox, notifications, etc) could also be added onto the master ribbon. This way not only can you jump from site to site and access all the help links from anywhere within the network, but you can also keep check of your notifications and if you've received new PMs and such. I did spend some time to create a master ribbon to give an idea on what I mean but it turned out so nice I thought that maybe the design and layout I came up with could actually be used, at least parts of it. It's still a work in progress though but if you ever do consider it I can always change things around like the colors, dimensions, etc, it's no stress for me. I thought it would be a neat contribution for the network. Breaking it down, the new features it would have: Replacing the sticky nav bar with a master ribbon at the top of each network site. Quick navigation regardless of the Poniverse site you're on. Will allow us to check up on any new notifications and PMs we may receive. Would make the network less confusing to new-comers Also Features the Poniverse logo Also I was thinking of adding an extra button on the master ribbon that allows us to hide it. It could be made sticky like the current one we have with the added bonus to hide the ribbon with the click of a button. While I was doing this I did add a logo for Poniverse and some of you may have noticed it's the same one I'm using in my profile. I initially created it as a possible logo for the network only I never mentioned it and used it for something else. To be honest, the current logo is a little dull and boring, no offense On to the images and as I said, keep in mind this is still a work in progress. Things can always be added and changed if you see fit that's if you ever take up this layout/design (Click-able). My master ribbon design Not everything here has to be taken into consideration, but in my opinion, it all goes together perfectly. Like I said at the top, known of us really know what's going on behind the scenes but I'm aware that maybe you already have plans on how the network is going to be/look. Regardless, a master ribbon would benefit all users. Because I don't know what's being planned, obviously, I thought I'd bring up this idea and put in my own design for it.
  9. That's actually an awesome drawing. Can you get bored more often so you can draw more Ponies? The expression reminds me of the 'Stare Master' episode too. So cute
  10. Firstly, can we have table codes implemented? Of course, normal posts wouldn't ever make use of tables but there are times when a table can be a great asset to the forums. You never know when you can make good use of them and they can even be used for things like scoreboards for forums games, not to forget, index topics. I was planning on using tables in my profile and in a topic I'm planning to make in the future but noticed we don't have them. Another BB Code I'd like to see is the 'Jump to' codes. Again it's not something normal posts are going to make use of but like tables, there may come a time when they really would come in handy. They're mainly best for large, multi-category topics/posts where there's several sections of an opening post like a signature and avatar archive. They're great if you're using a table of content as members can be taken directly to the area of a post they're looking for. I have been thinking of creating my own signature, avatar and render archive topic in time and as I'm expecting it to be quite big, I'd make great use of both these codes especially jump to codes for a table of content. Also, I've noticed there's a 'Recently discussed forum topics:' feature at the top. I do admire that only there doesn't seem to be anyway to enable/disable which sections topics can appear on it. I've noticed topics from the Roleplaying section appear on there but to be honest, I'd rather be able to disable topics from that section appearing on it as I never participate in such threads. There have been several occasions where a topic title's grabbed my attention but after entering the topic, I noticed it's a Roleplay one which does get a bit annoying. I'd appreciate the option to enable/disable which sections can appear on the Recent list. Finally, Pinned topics are all well and good but they're grouped in the exact same place/way as normal topics are and some times I find myself checking to see if it's not a pinned topic because I don't usually participate in them. What I'm suggesting is can they be grouped in a different 'box'. Like in Sugercube Corner, the sub forums are grouped in a different box, they even remain on top as you navigate to different pages within the section. There are sections where there's a few pinned topics and loads of tagged topics. At least for me it can be a bit of a nuisance.
  11. You know what, I actually didn't notice the show was getting more 'violent' because regardless, the series runs through perfectly. Everything that happens throughout the series is how I'd most like it to be. But on the subject of violence; I honestly wouldn't say it's getting more 'violent' in any way. If you examine how fights play out in the show, you'll notice they're not exactly violent at all. Look at the season 4 finale with Twilight and Tirek. Twilight does have quite a brawl with Tirek, yes, but this is a monstrous villain that's only got evil in him, a lot of TV shows have that big bad evil villain. You're not just going to go up to him and give him a flower and talk to him hoping to solve the issues now are you? Seriously though, this is pretty much Equesrtia's most wanted Twilight's dealing with and the entire fate of Equestria's in her hooves, she's going to put up a fight and give it her all and he's not going to be throwing pebbles at her. Then there's the ending with the mane 6. They unlock the true pure power of friendship and use it against Tirek, thus banishing his power and sending him back to Tartarus as well as restoring the magic, strength and flight back to the Ponies or Equestria. There's no real violence there either. I honestly think the finale played out perfectly while maintaining the child-friendly atmosphere. Come on now, there's a Narcissistic Centaur causing nothing but misery, how else could that play out? He's evil and there's no reasoning with evil. The only way you're going to beat that down is by force. The only battle throughout the series that can really be classed as violent would be this one but I still wouldn't class that as violent. But the main point I want you to understand is even if it is violent, it's still appropriate for all audiences and it would never go beyond that, that's all that matters in this subject. As I've said; I think they scripted it well while maintaining the child-friendly approach. If you argue they shouldn't of had a villain to this extreme in the show, I say why not? Many TV shows out there have an extreme villain in them, it makes a great episode in my opinion and with Season four's finale, I couldn't of asked for a better ending. At the end of the day, I'm grateful they've made all these episodes, I'm not going to complain about any of them. It's still suitable for it's intended age group, why should you complain about it? The most 'violence' you're ever going to see would be if Tirek ever escaped again. I wouldn't imagine for the show to get any more extreme than that but it's still suitable for all audiences.
  12. I've given it a try myself and the feature seems to be working fine for me. Unless there's some form of bug that's affecting your account, it looks like it's an issues on your end. Have you tried clearing your browser cache? Clear your cache and try again with removing your followed topics you're trying to remove from the list
  13. Not really, Equesrtia is a different universe that the mirror would take you too, same as being able to travel to a parallel universe, doesn't exist in ours but is an existence in itself But thinking about this stuff causes pains in my brain Anyway, my 3 wishes: I'd wish to have this cannon so I can take out Princess Koukatsu for thinking Derpy belongs to him when my dear baby, Derpy belongs to me. I'm on to you because she's mine! Then I'd wish to have a special amulet that allows me to travel to and from Equestria (I'd automatically transform into my Pony form when in Equestria) Finally... ...I don't really have a third. I'd save it until something new comes up. You'll never know when something's going to happen and you'd want to use a wish.
  14. I've been quite a fan of Rainbow Dash from the beginning. She's got that awesomeness to her, oh and Rainbow Dash is so awesome, she's even made my post Rainbow powered in here. I might start making some RD Signatures and Avatars when I've got time too. I'll share them all in here when I've got some to share Keep 20% cool'er and carry on.
  15. I don't have an OC anymore so topic concluded.
  16. And just to add; it's not the show nor fandom that makes someone quit/give up on life, they'd just prefer their life to be more like the show. I guess a lot of us do to an extent.
  17. I would actually be proud to go to such a college but this really ain't realistic, as much as I'm hardcore, it's not realistic much. Brony groups, conventions, clubs, yeah but an entire College? nay, It's starting to go over the line there. Also imagine the fun haters would have if a college existed. It'll be like an Anteater outside an Ant colony. However, for 22 years I've never found a place where I belong until I became a Brony; in a way, I would actually love this to be true. I would feel right at home and for the very first time in my life, feel I belong. Still, it's not a realistic idea plus how would you even get Teachers for this? Bottom line; as much as I'd like this to be true, I'm going to have to give it a no for several reasons.
  18. She wouldn't hate Humans for being meat-eaters, a few of her critter friends (the Bear being the most obvious) are meat-eaters themselves and you can see she doesn't treat them any different from the others. Keeping in mind there are Humans that are vegetarians so she could never dislike/hate Humans in general. Fluttershy's not exactly the type that would 'hate' at all to be honest. She dislikes those that seek to hurt animals, but hates a strong word to use when it concerns Fluttershy. Also, in the 'Dragonshy' episode she explains that a fully grown Dragon and I quote "could eat a Pony in one bite", but after she reasoned with him, she was perfectly okay. She may have a fear with some carnivores like Dragons but there's no hate there. Fluttershy is the most accepting Pony of the mane 6 too, it's not in her nature to judge one on what their diet is, what they like/dislike, etc. There has been some talk on how she wouldn't be too pleased in how some Humans treat animals like slaughter houses and such. To be honest, that's a different subject itself but I don't think she'd judge all Humans on the actions of some. I'm pretty sure she'd be completely against hunting too. If Humans or anything that eats meat ever concerned her, it would have to be this, and I'll put this in a spoiler tag as it can upset somepony's: Back to the main question; a species diet doesn't affect her liking in any way so I'd say she'll be totally fine with it. As already said, there are vegetarians so she couldn't ever dislike Humans in general even if it did bother her.
  19. I agree on the whole 'Video gaming graphics don't really matter' thing because video games don't need realism in order for one to enjoy it. Some of the oldest games out there can be more enjoyable than these new titles. The whole point of a video game initially was to enjoy and pass the time with. Just take a look at Sonic 6 for example. I can go through the classic Sonic games a dozen times and I can enjoy playing through them each time. When it comes to these new Sonic games especially Sonic 6 (and you can probably tell I'm not much a fan of Sonic 6), I only play through it just to say I've done it then end up hiding the game at the back of the shelf. It's more graphical than the classics but seriously, it doesn't have much to keep me playing it. The main element of a video game is indeed the gameplay. If you're not enjoying the gameplay, you're not going to want to play the game all together, regardless of how good it looks. As for my official unpopular opinion; I honestly don't like the film, Frozen and I haven't even properly watched it yet nor do I intend to. I've seen clips all over and I've heard that 'Let it go' song way too much but I can tell, it's not the kind of Disney film I'd enjoy. I think because it's so overrated is what's put me off of it. If I recall there was even a Car break-down service advertisement or something that used this song in it. I have listened to 'Let it go' but I honestly think it's overrated beyond the scales. It's like Avatar all over again, which is another one that everyone seemed to like apart from myself. I guess we've all got our own tastes but Frozen, I'm tired of hearing about it and now I've got to put up with a friend in real life that keeps singing the damn song.
  20. Final Fantasy in my opinion ain't so known these days. Maybe it's just my part of the world but I never hear anything of this gaming series at all. As for Resident Evil and I will say again, the original style is being lost to the new generation of gamers. I'm not saying it's forgotten, just that original style of how the games used to be like. Megaman is another one I never hear about nowadays. Got to remember this might not be the same in other countries but where I am, Final Fantasy, it's something that I never hear about now. Megaman, of course there haven't been any recent games for it but none of my friends actually know about it. That's why I decided to talk about them in here. Maybe it depends on where you are in the world but I wouldn't know when it comes to that. As far as I see, these mentioned games are no longer talked about, at least none of my friends talk about them and there's no sign of their existence. Resident Evil is talked about but not the classics, I thought I'd mention them while I was at it. But that's just my opinion about these games and from my viewpoint.
  21. To tell the truth, the Final Fantasy series are ending up into the abyss of lost and forgotten games. I remember back in the day, especially when the 10th installment came out, it was something I used to hear about a lot and I did get hooked on the series myself back then. Nowadays it's a rare sight to even come across someone that's heard of Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy is one of the greatest, if not, the greatest RPG games of all time but it's really lost it's spark. Not that I'm complaining about the new installments but they've lost that Final Fantasy spirit of how it used to be. I think this is probably the reason why it's lost it's place. Still, the classics are in the shadows now. As for underrated/hidden gems, Summoner 1 and 2 have to be on this list. They're great RPG's but again, not a lot of people have even heard of these games. There's a lot of cool stuff in both these games that keep you playing them. Shame they're so unpopular though. I'm even going to say the classic Resident Evil games are becoming forgotten now and covered up by the new games of the series. I get they're trying new things as was done with the Final Fantasy series but Resident Evil is another one that's lost it's touch. I remember these games as being 'run around solving clues and finding what you need to progress through the game while fighting Zombies'. Now it's become an all-out shoot 'em' up game. These new installments are nothing like the classics. The only thing that makes them Resident Evil is simply because it's got 'Resident Evil' written in the title or you're just playing another typical shoot 'em' up. They're still enjoyable games, they're just not Resident Evil as I remember them being. For me it's safe to say the original style of a Resident Evil game has been lost, even my Cousin thinks all Resident Evil's are just about shooting your way through the game. Also, what ever happened to Megaman? one of the greatest side-scrollers going. I haven't heard about it in years. That was a game you'll always enjoy playing through. Another cool side-scroller on the Sega Genesis was Atomic Runner also known as Chelnov. That was one of my childhood favorites even though I struggled with it It's a shame to see games like these forgotten or entirely unknown.
  22. There's actually quite a difference between the two. As Buttons Mom <3 pointed out, as the 'show all' opens in a separate window, you can keep it open and use it anytime during your entire online session. Plus you can quickly scroll through all the emoticons with the window. As for the emoticon bar, there's no real need to increase the capacity of it. I'd say a better idea for the emoticon bar would be to have an expanding arrow next to it instead of the left and right scrolling arrows, the same principles used in spoiler tags. Basically, replace the left and right scrolling arrows with an expanding arrow that expands the bar to show all the emoticons. In my honest opinion, the emoticon window is sufficient enough as it is. It's also quick and easy to scroll through the emoticons and find the one you're after as I've said. If there were 200+ emoticons however, then putting them in 2 or more columns in the window would be worth the while to do, but there's only about 50 so it's okay as it is. If in the future the emoticon numbers do get to 200+, having the emoticon window split into 2 or more columns would be something worth doing but for now it's okay the way it is The names you see are pretty much the codes that are used to activate them. They automatically become the emoticon once you've made your post or changed the BB Code mode. In case some of you aren't aware of what the BB Code mode is, it's basically the form of how the post is viewed while you're typing it up (You can change the mode by clicking the 'switch' button in the top left corner of the reply box). To make it easier to understand; it switches the form of the post you're typing from raw (Plain text) to final form (what the post will look like). I've noticed you can't use any of the buttons while in raw form. Just thought I'd explain that as some members don't actually know about this. Bottom line; The emoticon bar would be better if it had a expanding arrow button instead of the scrolling arrows. I'd prefer that idea being best and most efficient for members rather than adding more rows to it. As for the emoticon window, again that's fine as it is unless the emoticons ever reach to 200+ then splitting it into 2 or more columns would be something to consider doing. That said; you can make do with the emoticon window, although having the bar expand would be useful to have.
  23. As it's your money, you have every right to spend it on what you want. I don't understand why it's on their card though. If you're old enough you should set up a bank for your money to avoid this in the future. As your money's on their card I'd ask them if they could draw out the necessary cash so you can buy what you want. Technically, if it's your money they have no accuse not to do so. If we're talking about online shopping and of course you need a card for that (unless you use paypal), you should ask them about opening up a bank account for you and transfer your money they have on their card to your new bank card. That's the best way to do it. It's not hard to open a new bank account. If you don't have one, I'd recommend talking to them about having one. You've got it for life then (unless you decide to switch banks in the future). So best advice: If you've not got a bank account yet and you're young, ask your parents to open one up for you and have your money transferred to it. Simple and beneficial for both you and your parents and would avoid these issues in the future.
  24. Well actually there are different character limits depending on what section it is. The whole idea of the character limit is to encourage better quality of feedback for the different types of discussions. Like for example, the debates section is at 100 characters minimum. It's not like you're going to see any useful/productive responses under 100 characters for a debate. It's possible but the original poster of the thread would prefer to get as much feedback as possible, at least I would. In a way you have a point but there are more benefits coming from the limit being in place rather than not having it at all. I've noticed, however, regardless of what section you're in, it always say '20 character limit' in the quick reply box. I'm guessing that's a bug. Sure, it's possible to create a post under the current limits while giving a good enough response to the subject, but the whole idea, again, is to encourage better feedback for the discussion at hand. As already said in here, it also lowers the chance of spamming in threads. Just take a look at all the responses in this thread. They're more complete and understandable for all to read. If there was a small reply in this thread compared to the larger, more complete replies, it wouldn't be worth the read. The point is; The main idea for it as I've gathered is not necessarily to reduce spam but to encourage higher quality responses from the other members participating in the thread. Almost all small replies can be upgraded into a much greater and more productive post. I'm sure you'd have more to say than "I think Princess Luna's mane needs more sparkles.". Normally if I see a fan art and comment on it, I'd normally say how good it is and what works then comment on what doesn't work with a few suggestions to improve the overall quality. That way the artist gets a good balance of praise and criticism so they know what's needed to be done if any improvements can be made. While a small reply can be satisfactory to the reader, a larger, more complete response goes further and gives more information for the reader to reply to. It's far better when making a post to add as much information to it as you can so it's more complete and gets your points/views on the subject heard. It then helps others to make a complete/more productive reply back to it.
