Also I had a related question. Is it okay to host my Vtuber character biography here on the forum and link back to it? Still a RP character, but the profile will primarily will be used for people to click on Twitch to be sent to MLP forums to read the in-character background story

Right, I'm worried about a lack of exposure and visibility. It's hard to get noticed even if one has a interesting blog entry, but it's an ongoing thing

I definitely don't wanna get in trouble for advertising, but since my streaming is ongoing and I thought I'd be looking to engage with the community (questions and discussion), what about a fan club thread? Is it against the rules for the topic of discussion in the club to make the fun club? Is it against the rules for say, if Twilight was a streamer and was looking to make her own fan club thread? I don't believe there's been a case like this before, has there?

Hello! I have been away from the forum for many years since my desktop PC broke in January 2019, only checking in from time to time. I have been mobile and I'm trying to somewhat get back to the forum now with a gifted Chromebook and a gifted laptop. Some things I do online have changed since then, but I still like pony

Nowadays, I'm a MLP EG based 18+ streamer on Twitch trying to grow my audience, eventually Vtuber. I was wondering where is a good place to discuss this to drum up support and introduce my channel to the community. I know a status update is easy but those aren't as visible as posting a thread to discuss things related to my channel, like a stream schedule or actually trying to somewhat adhere to MLP G4 and EG lore. I also thought about Media Discussion, but I don't want to break rules or get my thread closed, so I thought I'd ask

So I don't remember the head space I was in when writing this and I've become a bit detached from G4 due to not having watched it in two years. So maybe we can think of a sorta different premise? I haven't actually watched the movie in full yet, just clips and specific points, and I don't really know how a character who actually is magically created and is more magic than flesh can even survive into this time frame with magic having been turned off for while. I suppose she froze herself in a crystal or something, but the main point of the character is to expand her fan canon by formally introducing her into RP in a world just after Twilight got officially crowned and interact with characters who would still see her as Chrysalis. Having the back story written out is all well and good but I'm essentially looking to have her make friends and maybe actually when this RP ends or dies people would want to include her in their RPs when I sign up cause they found her memorable enough

It would have to be something really really egregious. Hasn't happened in generation 4. If the temporary removal of magic for many years as a starting premise in generation 5 didn't do it for me, nothing will.

I think I'd still like to run this now that I'm trying to get back and easing back into the forum, but with some tweaks now that the ninth TV season has concluded and we know how the show ended. Also character links broke of course and I'll be updating that

Anyone else interested? Probably going with what @Denim&Venömsuggested with the manes being paranoid antagonists. I'm not that amazing at coming up with plot ideas so I felt it was better to ask the community. Idk for how long they'll be antagonists since they're pretty reasonable if someone wants to not fight and talk instead, but at least in the short term that's what we're going with. The mane 6 will be paranoid that Chrysalis has somehow returned 

In addition to all the usual forum rules, if and when I do run this people need to be aware that I'm mobile and can't post super often due to the time it usually takes me to think up a post. I'm not someone who can just whip up a multiple paragraph post in mere minutes, so as far as things that involve me it'll be slow moving. Since it's a large world and we can have multiple concurrent things running that might not be a problem, but I gotta institute a rule to wait for whoever you're interacting with and not run too far ahead of them in whatever plot you're both involved in. This is usually the standard but I've been in RP where players didn't follow this and the results were very chaotic with less active players being left behind by entire pages. At least if I can help it, my RPs will have this as a hard rule that you must give time for all other involved players involved with your group to respond. Not some, all. If you are interacting with 2 others, even if just talking to one of them, wait for a response from both

Oooh I love it, glad you enjoyed drawing her too. Just one thing though. The pony form she uses as I RP her is a unicorn so using magic doesn't look too out of place while disguised, slight deviation to the source. Too late to fix? Lovely, just slight oops. If you can't that's fine too. Will still add to her profile a bit later and credit you

Are you able to do Chrissy in her pony form, please? I don't yet have a correct representation of this form since the original source has her as a earth pony

Her pony form as I do it looks like the earth pony but is a tall unicorn mare (same shape as Fleur de Lis) instead

I'm still here, just been dealing with RL stuff and games that have resets at certain times. Either I'm having a particularly bad experience with mom, or the games I play I need to finish and I just do by reset, then the day starts all over again. Basically I lose a day in all other things, but get the games stuff done

I tend to disappear for a while due to this, but I'm not dead, I promise. It's at about a month that people can start worrying 

I pretty much need to fix her classes and the way aging works, and figure out a history that works with everyone else and what's been presented so far

I have an idea in mind, but I don't know if my computer can handle it while I make a recording

My computer is now in a semi working state, but still slows down somewhat. If it becomes unusable I'll just submit a text answer

There are things, like when someone makes up a fan canon trying to fit in with canonical things like I do with Magitek, and they need a section like Other to explain things like this. It doesn't fit anywhere else, and I had to create Other inside Background

There are a multitude of things about a character that would not fit into the existing fields, and you simply can't account for what any weirdo's brain could come up with for inclusion in a profile. I'm a weirdo 

Of course I'm the exception and not the rule, but my Other section was longer than the rest of the profile, and I also used it to collect art links for my character. I'll be putting that in the pictures section now, and that section will get super crowded over time

I guess what I'm saying is it's necessary whether you like it or not, cause there will inevitably be things that someone wants to include that pertain to the character yet don't fit in any of the existing fields

Maybe she could have some sort of mildly powerful personal slow-aging artefact/potion/spell/macguffin from her as-of-yet undefined past? It could provide a sort of plot fixture around which to frame/inspire some sections of her life to date, something like Duality's Stylus.

That or her genes could've gotten mixed topsy-turvy somehow and instead of aging five years for every one human year like a cat she ended up aging one year for every five human years via anti-cat quasimagic. Or her experiments are inundating her body with broad-spectrum electromagnetic radiation and slowed aging is just a bizarre symptom of her magic aura passively absorbing all that excess electromagnetic energy.

Alternatively, there's no known explanation and her magic/DNA/radiation damage is just weird like that somehow in a way that seems to be making her age slower and she explains it to people using a variety of these explanations because they're the most convincing she can think of

I don't really want to fall into 'I created the fountain of youth' scenario. Especially if something like that exists, someone would have tried to steal it

Actually I rather like that she doesn't know and makes up explanations. It would create some humorous situations maybe? Like someone finds out her age and be like dang how do you look like a twenty year old?

What do you think we should do for history? Should she be an heiress? I think if she was then she would not have much time to teach and research. I was actually thinking she's a one woman company. She introduces herself as a company, but then says she has no employees

If she is over 40 do you think she would have helped in the building of the school? Probably familiar with the other enchanters? How would we integrate her into the school story?

Cocoa was at work. We all had an awkward moment with the rude couple that had insulted her about her lack of tail. When her friends stood up for her, she preferred to handle it herself. Everyone took a break to cool down from that, and Lektra took a large canteen to go
