Clearly, because the high-pitched voiced cartoon character that goes around whapping minionbots with mallets and doing constant, screechy, inane antics was a surefire role model for the stupid little kids left in front of the show!
....
I chalk it up to the show makers getting a little full of themselves, seeing other shows like the american dub of Sailor Moon doing respectful lessons like this and thinking they could & needed to do it in their own show. Tone or not!

Yeah, its still good, my point though is what's the point? If one can put aside the implications of a gay relationship budding its still very little detail given over a wordless few minutes. It's hardly a story, its just an animated short. Sure, it has merit, effort & substance, but it hardly warrants a "Reaction." It's like a Cat Video, Okay, I've watched it, felt a little better and now I'll get on with my life and never think about it ever again in my life.
When one thinks about it, the cartoon heart physics vastly overpowers everything else. Nothing would have happened were it not for the literal & transparent "Following the Heart."

I loved UniKitty in the LEGO Movie, but the promotional clips that CN released really dampened my hopes for this show. Watching it when I was in the US made me realise that while my worries were still warranted, I very much enjoyed it regardless.
That being said TTG despite looking like something I'd enjoy, sucked more than I expected it to. Having not seen the original, I had no expectations and I was still disappointed. Raven is the best tho...
