  1. I agree about the Monday Night Wars doing more harm than good. It left a number of real life casualties, most notably Owen Hart. I have also always said that the Attitude Era despite the ratings was not perfect. It had quite a few bad moments and the matches from a wrestling standpoint weren't all that great.
  2. Paris without Notre Dame is like: -London without the Tower or Big Ben -San Francisco without the Golden Gate Bridge -China without the Great Wall -New York without the Statue of Liberty. -Sydney without the Opera House. -etc
  3. I remember seeing a PBS documentary about it which talked about the possible chance of Notre Dame collapsing completely due to it's age. This is just as bad. I just hope it can be rebuilt.
  4. If I may comment on Bret Hart. As I've said before, I wished that all 5 Hart Foundation members were inducted last night, including Owen Hart, British Bulldog, and Brian Pillman. Maybe they'll get in next year.
  5. As far as the WWE Hall of Fame goes. Congrats to those who are going in. However I feel as though the WWE is cheating by having at least 3 2-time inducties with Shawn Michaels, Booker T, and Bret Hart. That said, if there were no restrictions on certain posthumous inductees and the WWE HOF is treated more like an overall Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, I'd want these as inductees at some point, based on their merit: The Undertaker (Without question, most deserving) The Rock (Again, no need to state why) The Steiner Brothers (Clearly one of the greatest tag teams ever, in spite of Scott going crazy in recent years) Brian Pillman (His work as Flyin Brian was fantastic.) Davey Boy Smith (The greatest British wrestler ever, and a personal favorite) Owen Hart (I understand Martha hates the WWE for his death, but is truly deserving of induction. Plus he was inducted into a different Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame a while back.) Rick Martel (Often overlooked, but a great worker and a former co-holder of the tag belts. He was also a former AWA World Champion.) Miss Elizabeth (I feel it's a shame that the WWE Hall of Fame is without the "First Lady of the WWE" and if Macho Man can get in, why not her?) Jim Cornette (One of the greatest managers ever.) Andy Kaufman (You can't have a Celebrity Wing of the HOF without Andy Kaufman, plus he did more in the ring than most other celebrity inductees) Big Van Vader (Huge and agile, former WCW World Champion.) King Kong Bundy (Part of the Rock N Wrestling era and main evented WrestleMania 2) Demolition (Greatest WWE Tag Champs ever) Mitsuharu Misawa (Highest ranked amongst non inductees on PWI Top 500 greatest of all time.) Ray Stevens (One of the best of his era. Been on several tag teams.)
  6. Here are a few more that I recently started watching: Mama's Family The Carol Burnett Show Perry Mason Matlock Charlie's Angels
  7. It's a shame. Bundy is among those STILL not in the WWE Hall of Fame. RIP Bundy.
  8. If I may comment on the report on the Hart Foundation going into the Hall of Fame this year, they will be inducting Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart and Jimmy Hart. I wish that they would also include 1997 Hart Foundation members Owen Hart, British Bulldog and Brian Pillman. Now I understand that the issue regarding Owen is a sensitive one but regardless of that, he'd be a perfect fit for it had things not happened the way they did. As for Bulldog and Pillman I have no reason to see why they shouldn't go in as well. Maybe the WWE is planning individual inductions for them both, or they plan on inducting Davey Boy to go in with Dynamite as the British Bulldogs tag team. As for Bret and Jimmy, They're both already in the WWE Hall of Fame, but then again Ric Flair got inducted twice as well. Once by himself and the second as a member of the Four Horsemen. I personally think more about if the individual is in or not, it's enough for me. But again, that's just my take.
  9. Considering that it's close to Valentine's Day, If there's anything that brings out romance better, it's music. So I thought I'd ask what your favorite romance songs are. Here are some of mine: Lady - Kenny Rogers Endless Love - Lionel Richie and Diana Ross [I've Had] Time of My Live - Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes Islands in the Stream - Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton Let's Get it On - Marvin Gaye I Just Called to Say I Love You - Stevie Wonder What are your favorites?
  10. Recently I just got back into watching old classic TV shows that date back to the 50's 60's 70's 80's and 90's. These are the shows that would air on Nick at Nite, and TV Land, and have been popping up on other cable channels like MeTV. I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite sitcoms and dramas from those eras in no particular order. Mister Ed Green Acres I Dream of Jeannie Batman (Adam West Version) All in the Family Sanford and Son M*A*S*H The Mary Tyler Moore Show The Bob Newhart Show The Jeffersons Good Times Taxi Hill Street Blues Dallas Magnum PI Cagney and Lacey Night Court The Equalizer The Golden Girls Cheers Perfect Strangers China Beach And so on. Do you have any favorite classic TV shows?
  11. As far as my current goals go. I'd like to live in Des Moines, Iowa. I read somewhere it's a great place for employment. It's also close to a number of major Midwest cities I'd like to visit. As far as far out dreams go. Probably England, Hawaii, New York or Washington DC.
  12. I got this Starlight Glimmer Build A Bear plushie as a late Christmas present:
  13. Today I got 2 Hot Wheels Batmobiles, season 2 of Sailor Moon On DVD. Super Mario Party and Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

  14. I'm on vacation in the San Francisco bay area until after the new year.

    1. Arc Flash

      Arc Flash

      Never been there...maybe one day!!:-D

      Have fun!!

  15. I'd say Showdown: Legends of Wrestling's best parts are that they use actual arenas and the roster is fantastic. I also like that it has 4 costumes for each wrestler and sometimes they can be either a face or heel depending on the costume. One aspect that really gets my attention is that because it's a non WWE video game is that it includes Owen Hart. This is perhaps the last wrestling video game to include him.
  16. This is just a hunch, but considering the two have a bit of history with each other, will we see any further interactions between Starlight Glimmer and Sugar Belle? I ask this because Sugar Belle and Starlight were once well acquainted with one another considering that Sugar Belle lived in Starlight's old village back when Starlight ruled over it with an iron hoof. And considering that things have been patched up between Starlight and her former fellow village ponies. Not to mention Sugar Belle is now living in Ponyville and thanks to her relationship with Big Mac, she's gotten the most focus of any of the other ponies in Starlight's former village, there is a chance that Starlight and Sugar Belle might bump into each other and start interacting with one another again. Do you think we might see some interaction between Starlight and Sugar Belle in the series?
  17. I've always fantasized a dream match/feud between Dynamite Kid and Davey Boy Smith. If Dynamite hadn't been so banged up in 1988 I imagine there would have been a British Bulldogs break up angle in 1989 with a match between them at WrestleMania V.
  18. Recently I watched a VH1 adaptation called "A Diva's Christmas Carol". I thought it was pretty interesting.
  19. I don't have a top 10 for now but I do like these: Lonesome Ghosts The Nifty Nineties Brave Little Tailor Through the Mirror Mickey's Rival The Mad Doctor
  20. I'm thinking that romantic desires for the Mane 6 linger in the very very back of their minds, but for right now, promoting friendship is far more important on each of the Mane 6's agendas. They should focus on that and worry about any possible special somepony once their destinies are fulfilled. Like others have said here though. It should be saved for fimfiction, because I don't the Mane 6 are going to pursue those very hidden romantic desires until after FIM has been completed.
  21. Considering it's his 90th birthday. I figured we'd discuss here what we feel are the Top 10 greatest Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts. Ether ones you consider the greatest ever or personal favorites it's up to you. You can discuss what you like about each one as well. It can be cartoons focusing on Mickey, Mickey + an ensemble cast, Mickey with Donald and Goofy, Mickey and Minnie, Mickey with Pluto, etc. What are your Top 10 Greatest Mickey Mouse Cartoon Shorts?
  22. Well. Today's the official 90th Birthday of Mickey Mouse. As a kid back in the 80's I was a huge Mickey Mouse fan. I was introduced to it when they were airing classic Disney stuff on network TV with these specials and whatnot. Not to mention with the release of various "Cartoon Classics" shorts on VHS, I learned to enjoy them even more. And it doesn't stop at just Mickey, I also enjoyed Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Chip N Dale, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, etc. I've been to Disneyland a few times too. I even got to meet Mickey Mouse himself there, that was perhaps the greatest moment of my Disney fandom. Mickey Mouse will always be a part of my nostalgia. Happy 90th Birthday Mickey!
  23. I got this Applejack plushie at the Santa Fe Comic Con. It's slightly smaller than most of the others I have:
  24. Personally, I'd say his Smackdown reigns as champion and feud with Kurt Angle in 2003 was when fans cared about him the most.
  25. Mickey Mouse Milwaukee Brewers Player Batman Ghostbuster Spiderman Kansas City Chiefs Player Ash Ketchum Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey The Joker (vintage, not Dark Knight version) Clark Kent The Riddler Blues Brother This year, I'll be Sherlock Holmes.
