well, that is it for my birthday, but that doesnt mean the rest of the year is gonna be boring.
ohh no. this is only the beginning. on the 15th (14th for you yankees), they are gonna reveal the brand new Ford Mustang that will compete in the V8 Supercars Championship next year and in GT World Challenge in 2024. I cant wait to see what it looks like. to me, that is a late birthday present from Ford. ^w^
...and on the 17th (16th for you yankees), they're gonna reveal the Haslab. I really hope it's a hell cycle or a horse *fingers crossed* ...and even if it is robbie reyes and the hell charger, I'm just happy we're gonna get somethin Ghost Rider-related. ^^
...and then you've got the brand new G5 series coming out near the end of the month. Am I looking forward to it? eh. not really. *sighs* look, as long as we get more episodes of Zipp, I'm happy ^w^
next month is the Bathurst 1000, which is the biggest race of the year. ohh man, this is gonna be SO much fun. ^w^ I hope one of my favourites wins the race
...and of course, you've got the release of pokemon scarlet and violet in november ^w^ based on all of the leaks / rumours we've got for the starters, I think I'll pick sprigatito. they say it'll evolve into a magician / grass - dark type that 'empowers itself with dark spirits'. If it evolves into a more darker / edgier version of delphox, then I'll definitely pick sprigatito as my starter

Okay, this guy made a REALLY good suggestion. (at 4:42 of the video)
he says you can buy a chopper for the Marvel Legends Ghost Rider retro card-back for $20 ($50 Australian). that's a pretty good deal if you ask me, especially if you compare it to the Mezco ($342) and the Haslab Ghost Driver. ($900) okay, it doesnt come with any effect parts, but it is a decent looking chopper / Harley Davidson and that's all I care about. If you were to do the mathematics, you can get the Marvel Legends Ghost Rider retro card-back and this chopper for...$95. Yup. UNDER $100!!!

Well, I am not surprised. they did not reach the 9000 goal minimum, and that means they will not make the regular version of robbie reyes. they really shot themselves in the foot. even if they gave them 2 weeks, I dont think they would've reached that 9000 goal minimum. it got up to as high as 6116 before the cut-off point in the US. now, it has dropped below 5900 backers. this project is doomed to FAIL!!! I still dont understand WHY they went with robbie reyes!? if they wanted this haslab to be a success, they should've went with Danny Ketch with his hell cycle since they've already released Johnny Blaze in a retro card-back, and as for the tiers? they should have Mephisto, Blackheart and Zarathos. if they had went down this path, they would've easily reached that 9000 goal minimum. this project deserves to FAIL!!!

wow. $900 australian. that is freaking ridiculous. okay, I am a fan of ghost rider, but he's not worth THAT much + why the hell charger? they should've gone with his hell cycle or a horse. I dont understand. what's funny is if the haslab does not reach the 9000 minimum before the 23rd, they will not release the regular version of robbie reyes. (yeah, they are definitely not gonna reach that goal. At the time I'm posting this, they've just reached 5100 backers and it will be the 23rd in the US once it hits 2PM here in Australia) again, why did they select robbie reyes? this is the 50th anniversary of the ghost rider. what they should've done is they should've given us Danny Ketch and his hell cycle (since they've already released the retro card-back not too long ago) BOTH danny and johnny are WAY more popular and recognizable than robbie reyes. what a f*cking joke. but yeah, $900 for a car and some plastic!? no way. you can keep it.
as for the Mezco? it's $342 Australian. still pretty expensive for a figure, but it is WAY cheaper than the haslab and it comes with all of the bells and whistles (lights and sounds, effect parts, etc.), AND it's A LOT more premium + it comes with a HELL CYCLE.
the way I see it is the haslab will be funded before the cut-off point, but I dont think they'll reach that 12,000 mark before October 31st. so for those of you hoping you'll get that figure of mephisto, I wouldnt get your hopes up.
...or you could go and buy the marvel legends ghost rider retro card-back and call it day =P for $45, it is a steal!!! ^w^

Okay, so last night, they've just revealed the haslab, and...it's a hell charger. yeah. I was hoping it'd be his hell cycle or a horse, but no. it's a dodge charger that is on fire. lame.
Oh, and it's $350 US. yeah, it's probably gonna be $650 + here in Australia. so effectively, you're paying just for the car (that looks cheap in comparison to some of the other 1:12 scale diecast models I've seen) and some bits of plastic. It’s got some LEDs, but I don’t think that is enough to justify the price + I don’t see a spot where you can change the batteries, and I’d assume it’d use a lot of batteries considering it’s got more than 20 LEDs lighting up the grille and the wheels. Yeah, that is an easy pass.
when you think of ghost rider, what's the first thing that pops up in your head? flames, a skull that is on fire and a motorcycle / harley davidson / chopper. dont get me wrong. I love muscle cars, but when I think of ghost rider, the first thing that I think of / that pops up in my head is his hell cycle. I feel like they've dropped the ball on this one. yes, I know they released the retro card-back last month, but they really should've given us a hell cycle to go with it.
Someone brought up a really interesting point. The Mezco Ghost Rider is $340 Australian, and that comes with a hell cycle. it lights up, and it comes with some accessories / effect parts, just like the haslab, and it looks a hell of a lot more premium than the haslab (they used real leather for the jacket, it actually looks like ghost rider, etc.)
So yeah. Straight away, the Mezco is A LOT cheaper than the Haslab, and it looks SO much better. So the real question is, would I be willing to pay $340 for the Mezco? Ehh…we’ll see what the rest of the year has to offer.

okay, so I've had some time to process my thoughts bout the new Mustang that just came out not too long ago, and...I think it's over-done.
I dont like how they've used an over-excessive amount of black (plastic) for the front grille. IMO, it makes the grille look bigger than it actually is. IMO, they should've just coloured it in (or they should've just removed it altogether) to give it a more cleaner look. it reminds me of the 2005 mustang. the one thing that I really did not like was the design of the tail-lights.
ever since the first generation, the tail lights were always flat. the way that it's curved puts the structural integrity of the rear into question. that's why most tail lights are flat. it's probably my least favourite part of the design, and it looks kinda ugly. the interior is supposed to be more 'high-tech'. I dunno how I feel bout the speedometer and the sat nav all being one piece. I feel like that can be a lil bit distracting. when I look at the front of it, it doesnt really scream 'mustang'. it's...a little too blocky IMO. is it a step up from the previous generation? so far...not really. all I can say at this point is we'll just have to wait and see what it looks like in the flesh.
but yeah, these are my first impressions of the 7th gen ford mustang. as for the V8 Supercar, well, we did get a quick glimpse of it.

it looks...okay. I will need to see more of it. I will say this. the looks of the 7th gen mustang is rather...controversial. they say the design is supposed to appeal to the younger generation, and that's why it's got such an edgy design to it. time will tell if it starts to grow on me, but at the moment, I'm not a huge fan of it.

Ohh man, I'm SO f*cking happy that I managed to pre-order three of these:
yeah, this figure sent me on a wild goose chase. as soon as it popped up on their site, I went to my local EB games to place a pre-order for it, but for some reason, it wouldnt accept my $30 deposit. yeah, I just assumed that it wasn't up on the system...yet. (I came in, like, an hour after they posted it on their site. so yeah, I was SUPER early
) So I decided to wait for a few days so they can get their act together and I dropped into my local Zing Pop Culture and...they were able to accept my $30 deposit. I'm just glad that I got this out of the way. 
it'll be coming out in december. so yeah, this'll be my christmas present. ohh man, I cant wait!!!
