I think the Equestrian Trixie is a little friendlier and less egotistic than the human one.
@Tacodidra I feel like the opposite is true.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Especially, on Buzz Lightyear & Rex, I didn't realize there was such a visible difference between the two greens.

@Sparklefan1234 No problemo~!
Yeah, shades can make a huge difference. It's what separates candy apple red from Jolly Rancher red, after all.

@lyrabetes3939 Maybe Garfield is speaking on behalf of people who have jobs. Like, his creator.

Wow. Converting a picture-based file from a GIF to a PNG really does clean them up a bit.

Don't underestimate the power and popularity of GIFs.
Now with my that said. Use PNGs as much as possible.
SpoilerTechnical description ahead:
Both GIFs and PNGs are lossless. That means, their pixel values are shown the exact way as they are saved, no loss in quality. The artists art is therefore not destroyed, when saved as those formats.
GIFs are absolute beasts, with their features including animations and transparency! They are also very (too good) at being small in size!
PNGs are the future. Their ability to store digital art without any loss in quality is unrivaled! With their size being the absolute best as you can get, for such high quality.
Yes, putting them side by side like that, I'd like having a Nintendo VS Sega battle. You know both are good, so who will win? It depends on what you are after!
You just get so much from GIF, that you cannot stop using it, even if GIF is an old format (invented in 1987 and upgraded in 1989), it is a really old outdated format, for one single reason: It can only show 256 unique colors per picture. That's where your art loses quality. You have more colors, and those are not possible, so they are cut.
With 256 colors, and one is used for transparency, you save a lot of space, because GIFs uses one of the fastest and most powerful compression methods ever conceived, called LZW. If the GIF had more colors, it wouldn't be able to keep its small file size.
You have heard of the ZIP files, right? You can compress any data into a ZIP file (or RAR). Those files uses the most popular compression algorithm called DEFLATE. It's popular because, it is fast, and seriously, no one can beat it. It's like trying to beat NASA at space travel. DEFLATE uses a combination of Huffman encoding, which stores information depending on its use, and a very crazy annoying compression algorithm called LZSS (a cousin of LZW), with a slow compression time, but incredible hyper fast decompression speed.
PNG uses DEFLATE as compression.
The PNG is 32 bit. That means it has 16,7 million colors, times... Hold you breath, (that is how many colors a human can see) the alpha channel! Yes, for every color, there is also a value representing how opaque or transparent it should be against the background (where the image is drawn to). So you can basically do everything a GIF can, except, you can't have an animation. And while you can have smoother pixel corners between your pictures and the background thanks to alpha transparency, setting it up to just have one color be transparent is slightly harder than doing it with a GIF.
So who wins this battle?
If GIF is so good, and is used all over the internet, I would say, it should win.
PNG might try so hard to be like a GIF, but it can never truly reach what GIF has accomplished.
But the winner, by a margin of a billion, over both GIF and PNG, is the JPG, or JPEG. The image format you'll find, everywhere on the internet, as well on all professional cameras. Reason? It cannot be beaten by anything.
Storing the same image, as all 3 formats, you will see how GIF and PNG starts struggling when JPEG enters the battlefield. The GIF, tries it's hardest to quickly compress those tiny colors into a LZW stream. The PNG uses the ZLIB library to compression all that color into DEFLATE. And the JPEG, in blistering speed, just outrun them both in speed, and size.
Enter the champion of the world, the JPEG, or its movie counterpart MPEG, or its music counterpart MPEG layer 3, or as you know it, MP3. Or those videos on YouTube that is MPEG 4, or MP4. You see, the world has spoken. You have your winner!
Hey, not that fast! There is one catch. Remember how I said the GIF and PNG are lossless? I said it at the top. You see, that's why they are still used. The JPEG wins because it is cheating. It takes your image, and looks at it, sees a mathematical pattern and tries to recreate your image using a similar mathematical pattern, but not the same! Your original image is lost forever, as soon as you save it as JPG, do never in a million years, save your work as JPG! In 10 years time, most if my JPGs have aged, or degraded, because that mathematical formula that represent the image, might not be read the same on newer hardware, and when opened in a program, like a photo viewer, an orientation swap, just a button, resaves the image, causing your bad representation to be re-representated. Also, I do question digital copyright, when an image drawn by an artist is not represented as an image, but as a mathematical formula of an image, a look alike, or drawn using a mind of its own.
Also, JPEG cannot have animation or transparency.
So, the real thing to remember is: Use the format that is best for the image you want to save. If the colors are less than 256 unique one, the GIF is the winner. If you want more colors and lossless, the PNG is the one. And if you just have a huge photo, JPG takes care of that!
Lol, read that. I couldn't sleep, so, absolutely no waste of my time
(Edited because my smart phone Loves to adjust my couldn'th and don'ts onto coulded and dos)
