I noticed you've been in a Powerpuff Girls mode lately. As I've mentioned on the forums a couple of times, I've watched "What a Cartoon!" shorts recently – the few episodes I hadn't seen before, as well as rewatching some of the others. I love the two PPG shorts, especially "Crime 101". "Meat Fuzzy Lumkins" is also fun – Bubbles was always my favorite, and that episode just makes it clearer for me.
Might be my WAC bias, but I think I like them more than the later series (which I also enjoyed – I saw most of the episodes years ago). I've never seen the reboot, but it doesn't seem to be very popular from what I've read.

True, but since it's the same production company and channel, I'd still count it as the same thing. And those two series sometimes clearly made references to each other. Like Quackor the Fowl making a quick appearance in "Bought and Scold".
I guess I'm not missing out on much having not seen it. I remember there was a lot of controversy about the girls' voices being recast – seems quite disrespectful when most of the voice cast was the same. In comparison, I liked how Pony Life, as unpopular as it is in the MLP fandom, kept all the voices except when the actors didn't want to take part (Cathy Weseluck, and I'm assuming the same happened with John de Lancie).

Huh. I forgot all about that cameo. I bet PpG had more Dexter cameos and references than Dexter had PpG references. Though I know it was spread out to many different shows. Billy & Mandy had an episode that ended with an homage to the PpG; and Franky from Fosters Home is wearing a PpG shirt.
It's only disrespectful in the sense that the original voice actors were still around and still more than willing to reprise their roles, and they weren't even asking for increased pay or any kind of special treatment. Tara still had ties to Cartoon Network since she was doing Teen Titans Go, and the others could have easily been contacted. But I guess the production staff just really wanted to go their own way.
Personally, I am fine with it. I would rather their voices be attached to a much better reboot, which may still happen. -
Most likely – I don't remember as many the other way around. Dexter's babysitter did call her boyfriend Fuzzy Lumpkins in "Babysitter Blues". And in Foster's, there was an imaginary friend who looked like Mojo Jojo, and the end credits for the first episode feature Bloo watching TV and we hear the PPG narration. There were probably more that I can't remember.
Craig McCracken is working for CN again, so there's hope! He's working on a Foster's reboot – a CGI pre-school version doesn't really sound promising to me, but maybe it could surprise.

Someone need to make a short clip of Silky being cheese!

You're a Foster's fan? I loved it back in the day (though I admittedly haven't watched it much in years)! The second best show Lauren Faust was involved in. I especially liked Bloo, and later in the show, Cheese (something about his randomness appealed to me).
The part of the show I remember best has to be this song, though. I especially love Fluffernutter on the backing vocals.

My favorite episode was when The Prince Charming imaginary friend falls in love with France and so did Mac and Bloo so they tried to impress her and Orland Bloo with his mustach was talking about his one bazillion dollars and how he goes to bazillionaire school, etc. XD oh gosh, I gotta watch that again sometime. It'll definitely cheer me up a bit <3

That was an awesome one! "A spoon can't pick up a steak."
I might have to give it another watch someday – there's a lot of stuff I've probably forgotten in all these years. And I imagine that would be quite a nostalgic experience. It's hard to say which one was my favorite (there were so many great episodes), but "World Wide Wabbit" would be pretty high on my list (the one where Mac and Bloo upload Mr. Herriman's Funny Bunny dance online).

I had ideas for "themed avatar days" but that's about it.
I guess we're kind of doing that for Trixiependence Day now, BFFFF! It felt like the right thing to do, as she was one of the most important characters not yet represented on my avatar.
I wonder if anyone else will join us with a similarly great and powerful avatar...
