Either way, he wouldn't be good as a bounty hunter after 30 years. The prime age for that line of work would most definitely be from one's young adult (18-19) to when one is 30. -

Everything else about the Expanded Universe simply isn't film material. It's lore material, but it's not film material. There would've been great difficulty creating an enjoyable film with most of the EU.

The only Expanded Universe story arcs I would've wanted to see on the big screen are the Thrawn (Timothy Zahn) story arc, and the Yuuzhan Vong war.

I was one of the people who thought JJ and Disney had screwed us over, killing the Expanded Universe and everything. So I think I have a right to say that I honestly was not disappointed in any way. In hindsight, a film about the Expanded Universe would never have been a good film, and the fandom would've hated JJ either way.

Yes, because it's not like the original trilogy, prequel trilogy, weren't crumbs on which the Expanded Universe was developed. The Expanded Universe came after the films, not the other way around. No one had problems with the original trilogy because there was no Expanded Universe to use as a basis. But because of the fact that JJ Abrams, Lucasfilm's writers, the Disney/Lucasfilm producers, chose NOT to follow the Expanded Universe (which had such brilliant storylines such as the Emperor's clone and dark side Luke), the fans have no other choice but to hate on it because it's not the original trilogy. JJ Abrams could've followed the Thrawn story arc and people would still hate JJ Abrams, simply because it's a new film and not the original trilogy. I see that I've welcomed myself into the pity that is fandom. -
Lol I'm not even going to bother with fandoms. No matter what people do, fandoms will always hate on it blindly because it's not the original.
