  1. You really bared part of your soul for us today; that's really awesome The first thing I want to touch on might seem obvious but I feel like it still needs to be said: you have absolutely no reason to feel guilty. I know that it's not going to change how you feel, and your feelings are 100% valid, you need to accept them for what they are and also understand that you've done nothing wrong. I've also been with the show since the first episode in 2011; I've been a fan of ponies since I was a kid and it was cool to see a reboot with an art style that was, in my opinion, significantly cuter than previous generations on top of having Lauren Faust of all people be a part of it! That, and Tara Strong, got me interested I was lucky to have that available to me as it sounds like you have been suppressed and stunted. I have a lot of childhood trauma that has given me the same kind of "Peter Pan Syndrome" (my therapist agrees with that term lol) which is connected with a lot of my mental health problems and one thing that really, really helped me is hearing my therapist tell me that not only is there absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying and participating in childish behaviour but it's actually good for you. It's normal, and if it makes you happy then there's nothing wrong with it. You're not hurting anyone nor yourself. I learned how to get over myself, my fears, and learned to simply embrace that part of me. Yes, I play with toys. I mean, I don't exactly sit on the floor everyday and fwoom, zoom, kaboom little plastic horses around but I do sit at a table and, internally, create scenes and dialogue and I will move them around. I literally have a small set-up where I play with toys on occasion I'm going to be 28 this year. Just as well, while the fandom is sort of shrinking a little, I don't see what everyone else is seeing in regards to the fandom eventually caving in completely when even a group of 100 people can make up a fandom. Joining late in the game, to me, is proof that the show really still holds up and will captivate new and old fans for a while. I actually disappeared from the fandom for a while before getting back into it because I started to miss having people to discuss colourful horses with. I want to make friends, connections, and extend them beyond the fandom. Sharing a single common interest is great, but the best thing is making a friend who sticks with you through and through Ponies or not. Besides, there are still loads of people making art, music, projects, the works! Certainly not as much as the old glory days, but I'm actually working on a comic set in that universe (just for fun, nothing super serious lol). If the fandom one day disappears to the point where even this site is taken down, I would HOPE that all of my friends have me on Discord, Facebook, etc so we can still be just that. Ponies brought us together but they are not the glue that binds us I've re-watched all of it twice, in order, in the last two months because I love this show so much. When it ends, I'll re-watch it again, and again, and again And if you ever need someone to talk to privately, my inbox is always open! (I feel we might share similar traumas... I've been in a couple of severely abusive relationships as well.)
  2. Finally getting my school bus driving route for the upcoming school year! :-D Can't wait to drive miserable kids to school every morning LOL (I love kids, I'm actually really excited)

  3. A couple of rough days but nothing I can't handle ahdufhoswefesfes :umad:

  4. Doing something nice for someone shouldn't be done with the expectation of what you can get in return; he has a thing for Rarity and wanted to help her out on top of the promise that she would let him have one after they were done, so the expectation was already there for it to be a single gem, in my opinion.

    private Spirit Guide

☆*★*☆:*:∵‥Spirit Guide ‥∵:*:☆*★*☆ A private roleplay between myself and @Nightmare Season Click here for OOC The conductor sounded the whistle, bringing the train to a smooth stop at the Ponyville station with the expertise that was to be expected by such a pony with a cutie mark like his. All Aboard looked to his cutie mark with a small smile and then turned his attention to the pocket watch it resembled. Just on time, He thought to himself, locking the brakes and hopping down onto the platform while the scarce late-night riders clambered off with their luggage in tow. To every pair of eyes he met he offered a kindly smile though usually those who took the last train from Canterlot to Ponyville didn't often smile. Some were students making the trek from a weekend at home while others were mostly business related journeys yet no matter what took each creature to and fro, he was happy to oblige. After all, it was almost time to retire. When the smoke cleared, when the engine was quiet, and all forms of life seemingly left him alone on the track, All Aboard was startled by a lone mare still sitting inside one of the economy cars. He frowned, brows furrowing in confusion as he approached the car, nervous that there may be something wrong. "Excuse me," he called out to her gently, clearing his throat as he stepped into the car. "Are you alright, miss? The station is closed, I'm going to have to ask you to leave." There was no response. She sat there, still as a stone, her pale cream bangs were neatly coiffed and styled in such a way that covered her eyes completely; her expression was gentle and aloof. Could she not hear him? Perhaps she was deaf and required assistance. All Aboard sighed softly and moved to stand before her. "Miss-" "Oh!" The mare started, causing the earth pony conductor to give a jolt of his own. Her horn flashed briefly and she shook her head. "I'm sorry, are we here?" she flashed a sheepish smile, chuckling quietly to herself and slinking off the seat like a cat. "Heh- woops. So sorry-" "It's quite alright." All Aboard raised his brows; it was certainly not the strangest encounter he ever had yet it was still surprising when it happened as they were rather few and far between. I'm just glad you're okay. "Do you need help with your bags?" "No, no thank you." using her magic, which cast a faint silvery-white glow, she took her saddle bag down from the overhead compartment and placed it over her back. "I kind of zoned out for a moment. It happens. Thanks, though!" her tail was long and swished against the conductor lightly, brushing his legs, as she turned to leave. Shaking his head, the stallion mentally shrugged his shoulders and carried on with his business of closing up the station. He still had a short list of tasks to complete before calling it a night. It was chilly at near quarter after two in the morning when the moon was near its highest peak. Moon Glow shivered lightly in a cool autumn breeze, kicking herself for not bringing at least a scarf or a hat or just- something. She took a deep breath and exhaled slowly until she could see the slight puff of breath in the air. "Woof." the mare quietly exclaimed before walking into the empty town. She assumed there had to be at least some kind of tavern or hostel or even a hotel; after all, Ponyville used to be a smaller town but over the past 25 or so years flourished a little. With the castle (complete with princess), the Friendship School, and the old history, many creatures (especially ponies) turned their attention towards the town and its promising future. Moon Glow, on the other hand, was more interested in the past. There was a home in Ponyville that was thought to be haunted; the rumors had made it all the way to her small hamlet of Bucksport, thanks to her friends and connections in the paranormal community, and soon enough she was packing her bag and making the journey to investigate. "If only I had thought this through." she mumbled to herself. On the old dirt roads of Ponyville she could hardly hear her own steps, let alone that of another pony and while back in Bucksport this wasn't so much of an issue but in unfamiliar territory she wasn't sure what was what and those dark shadows could be anything. No, no, don't get yourself worked up. Just find a place to sleep and... do that. Go to sleep.
  6. @Blitz Boom Ahhhhhh, happy birthday coming up!! I wanted to apoloize for not posting yet I got swept up IRL and it took longer than expected
  7. @Emperor Blu Traincrown Absolutely! You got it! @Totally An Admirer and @Sulfur I'll revisit these when I'm done with the rest of the requests on the list :3 I'm having way more fun than I anticipated, to be honest, so more than likely I'll be able to do these as well
  8. @Artemis Yes! I actually am diagnosed PTSD and am in active therapy (minimum once a month) While I'm very happy to say that after about 10years, I no longer require my medications anymore, however I still overthink too much
  9. @Nightmare Season Yes! I'll make up the thread and have my first post shortly! I apologize for the wait, I had some things to do irl that took up more time than I anticipated
  10. Potentially that might be a little out of my league at the moment, but I can do my best! @Alex Van Gamer A diamond dog?? AWESOME~ Absolutely! I'll pop you on the list! @TheTaZe The pegasus slot is yours! @Lord Valtasar I actually really, really like her so... >3> Consider it done! A second pegasus LOL @Pr0m4NV14 Wooo! An Earth pony! Yes! @Sunset Rose I do like her design! If I can find the time, I certainly will!
  11. *gets flung into a canyon* Bo Burnham! How many hamburgers could you eat in one sitting?
  12. I'm an over-thinker. I tend to really, really overthink even the smallest things, trying to come to the most likely conclusion which could send me into a thought spiral where I'm suddenly 10 years in the future and have made nothing of myself because of this one thing
  13. @Gordon Freeman Wonderful! Do you have a description of their personality/what you would like them to be doing?
  14. Yes - I don't remember what movie it was, all I remember is that I was so bored I left about 20min in! What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
  15. Hey! Sooooo~ I'll be honest, requests have never really been my thing (I've been taken advantage of a few times and it's really soured my grapes). However, I'm here, I'm willing, and I'm ready! In order to get some decent references together for my future commission shop, I need to put together a little portfolio and what better way to do so than to genuinely take interest in those I hope will commission me one day? I'd love to make a portfolio featuring the unique likeness of those in the community than the random randos I'd be drawing off the top of my head and/or pulling from my own pool of characters which currently consists of two... A N Y W A Y I'm looking to draw 5 OC's right now. I would also really appreciate keeping it super diverse so I'm looking for 5 unique races, as well. To streamline this a bit I'll make a list! CURRENT AVAILABLE SLOTS - First Come First Serve Pegasus - THETAZE / LORD VALTASAR Unicorn - GORDON FREEMAN / SUNSET ROSE Earth Pony - PR0M4NV14 Alicorn - Non-Pony - ALEX VAN GAMER Every piece will be different, however they will all be sketches/line art only and most likely will not be coloured (unless I'm really feeling it lol) as this is simply to showcase my sketches and the like. All I ask of you is a picture reference of your character (or a very, very detailed written description, however I reserve the right to interpret it as I see it in my mind's eye) and a short description of their personality/what you would like to see them doing! It may take me a few days (I tend to get busy) but I will let you know when it's done. I only have one pic of my OC and a single page of a comic I'm working on in my spare time as reference right now... ahhh...
  16. Keep drawing, or go jump in the pool? Hmmmmm... :okiedokieloki:

  21. This looks fantastic! I would love to potentially be part of this - are you still looking for VA's?
  22. Well, as we all know, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west - so it's safe to assume that similar measures are met in the pony world as the sun and moon are consistent (at least as far as I've passively observed), ergo they are orbiting the planet, especially since in our world if you were just standing and looking at the horizon you can't physically see the sun or moon curving around O: we just see it go past the line of the horizon For having both bodies in the sky, it's certainly strange and such and not really consistent which I agree with, however I think that can simply be explained as a cause of the Tree Of Harmony? O: I wonder if that somehow has something to do with it
  23. Now, I'm no scientist, I just know the super basics about stuff and even then I could be wrong so... take what I have to say with a grain of salt The earth rotates so fast it's like its not spinning at all - it also orbits around the sun while the moon orbits around the earth in a gravitational pull. If the sun and moon ceased to go around the planet, it would mean that the earth was no longer going around the sun and the moon was not going around the earth. I imagine it would somehow mean the earth's gravitational pull would not be as strong? And that the sun's pull was also... bleh? In either case all life would end relatively quickly However, this is thankfully not earth! They live on a planet in a universe that is strongly influenced by magic that is controlled by creatures on that planet - maybe in their universe, the sun AND moon orbit around their earth? Like it really is the centre of the universe In which case, as we've seen in a couple of Discord episodes and the MLP movie, I feel like they would be okay for a time. I mean, wherever the sun and moon were stuck, everywhere would suffer environmentally. I feel like maybe a large group of unicorns might be able to attempt to bring normalcy to the rotations? But this is also making me wonder if Luna and Celestia are really in control of the constant, every-day movement of said celestial bodies or if they only raise and lower?
  24. To be fair, this is really more of a specifically American issue (re: gun violence) and while safety in numbers is the usual go-to idea, in a mass shooting you're really more of a fish in a barrel. I'm Canadian, I already have trepidation about going to the US even though I'm there at least once a week (I live on the border lol) to Detroit and this is something that goes through my mind every time I do cross, regardless. Either way, the odds of something like that happening at a pony con, to me, feels REALLY low. The fandom itself is smaller, less noticeable, not as much as a big deal so it kind of eliminates outside threats and the people IN the fandom I don't feel really are that sick despite the death threats. Ever fandom has nutters who send death threats to VA's, actors, writers, etc when something doesn't work for them. It's not ever an excuse to not take every threat seriously, just something to consider in regards to lowering the odds of such a tragedy happening. And while these are often planned, they are not plans that are ever privy to the public so it's not like you would know if there was someone planning a shooting. Having added security such as police, metal detectors, and a ban on any real weapon or firearm (which I'm pretty sure the cons do that anyway, seems standard) would significantly help reduce the risk. I really wouldn't worry about it much. I plan on attending, myself
