A few of my older family members cannot text and do not own computers so I sent them mail when I couldn't visit or talk over the phone. I usually only write a letter when whoever I'm sending it to deserves a more personal way of communicating.
I don't try to get rid of them. That state of mind is just a part of who I am. I try to use the negative energy to motivate me to write and that keeps it from affecting others. It seems to work pretty reliably for me.

Honestly these days just relax. We're both very busy and never get to just do nothing together.
When you and your partner are apart do you constantly keep in touch with him (or her) or do you just wait for them?
My husband and I were separated for a long time and sleeping alone was one of those things I didn't really think would be that hard but it was. I would very much prefer not to.
Family helps. Gardening. I seem to be in better moods these days than I used to be, but staying off the internet is a pretty good way of keeping me from getting into any bad moods in the first place.
