    "Thanks, I will be cautious. I'm Moonlight Wane." He reaches hoof to shake or to bump. "You were the one who threw that rope in the river, right? That was very smart. Using a part of the course to help fellow racers. In hindsight, I should've used it, hehe." He laughs sheepishly. "But I don't like making things too easy for myself. Although, if the course gets harder, I might have to start using any advantage I can get."

    "Okay, this doesn't work." Moonlight looked up from his poor attempts to make fire. He then noticed other ponies in the group doing much better. Unicorns were using their horns to light the way and create an area of warmth. Oh, and was that a hot chocolate dispenser? With a sigh, Moonlight threw the rocks away, approached the group, and poured himself a cup of hot chocolate. He also got a cookie from @Silverspark184, which he gladly accepted. "This is so weird to make us go through such a cold place right after the river." He said to nopony in particular. "Is this even the right way? The path is barely visible, and I haven't seen any arrows in a while. I'm gonna have to talk to Dyny after the race."

    "I don't think I've ever been in this part of the forest." Moonlight blows air at his hooves to warm himself up. The trees grow thicker here, and it's hard to see the balloon through the dense canopy. "I thought it would be a little chilly, but this is crazy," he thinks to himself. Titanium has his jacket now, so she at least should feel a little warmer. He tries to remember any survival books, or more accurately, any survival-related parts in adventure books he has read. He grabs two rocks in his wings, and hits one against the other over a long, dry stick, trying to spark a little flame. "This is how to make torches, right?"

    Currently, Silksong. Because someone at Team Cherry thought that having a fight on a small arena, with waves of annoying enemies who fly, summon minions, dodge and steal your silk (that you use to heal), with a miniboss in the middle, then more enemies, then two minibosses simultaneously, and then even more enemies after that, with no checkpoints whatsoever, was a great way to have fun

    "Sweet Celestia, Titanium, are you alright?" Moonlight chuckles as he reaches towards Titanium, and grabs her hoof to help her climb onto the bank. He's glad to see that her unplanned bath washed most of paint and mud off her hooves. He then takes off his rain jacket and puts it on her. "Here, it should warm you up."

    Moonlight grabs onto Samurai and Priscilla, letting them pull him out of the river. "Thanks guys!" He says, coughing out water. "Phew. I should've been more careful." They were already on the right side of the river, but they still had to go upstream to get back on track. Going on land would risk them getting stuck in tall grass and swampy ground. Moonlight shakes himself off, and pours water out of his boots, while looking to the other side of the river, watching how Titanium @Wizard is doing.

    Moonlight approaches the river and sits on the bank, letting Titanium get off. He observes Dusk Haven as she reaches the other side with seemingly no problem. "Can't be that hard," he thinks. He steps into water, and almost gets swept off his hooves by the current. His boots are just barely high enough to prevent water from flowing in. He tries to step after the alicorn, ignoring the rope, but his smaller stature makes moving harder. "Come on, just a little further." After a good couple minutes of struggling, his hoof slips on something not visible beneath the surface. He yelps as he falls into water, rapid current pulling him back, undoing his progress. It takes him just a moment to reorient himself and lie on his back, but he can't stop moving, like on a huge waterside. "Heeelp! Oh, sorry. Sorry! Heelp! Sorry..." Moonlight now becomes a part of the obstacle himself, bumping into ponies, making them lose their balance, until somepony can stop him.

    Very interesting character. I like him ^c,^ Also, I vote for Stigma and Insect and Pest Annihilator with 40 Watts rechargable UV LED Light splash and shatterproof Glass for Indoor and Outdoor Use in a 20 Meter Radius (Anni) for the shipping of the year.

    Moonlight looks up at the commentators, and is glad to see Pinkie up there, instead of waiting somewhere in the bushes with her party cannon, like last year. The bat pony bolts through the forest, gracefully avoiding suspicious puddles. Occasionally, he helps himself with his wings to keep balance, but his boots seem to be doing great job preventing him from sliding. After some time, the racers find themselves deeper in the forest, where ground is less slippery, thanks to trees still having lots of leaves, blocking most of the rain. Moonlight is already panting slightly from the weight he's had to carry. @Wizard "Hey, you still there, Titanium? I hope you haven't fallen asleep. It feels less slippery here." He looks back, to see the result of Titanium's recent collision with a branch. "Why did you put leaves on your face?"

    "Hi Sunshine! Yeah, that's us! Good luck to you as well!" @Wizard Moonlight runs under a low branch, forcing Titanium to lower her head, or get some leaves on her face.

    "Do it, and your next stop is the nearest mud puddle." He doesn't believe she would do that, but he keeps an eye out on the most muddy spots, just in case. "Hi there, Priscilla! Good luck in the race!"

    Moonlight looks back, to see blind Titanium running straight at him, with a speed of a bus. His eyes widen, and he tries to speed up before she crashes into him. Unfortunately, he is too slow, and a moment later he feels a sudden weight of an earth pony on his back. He loses balance for a terrifying second, before regaining control and continuing on. "Titanium!? I should've known the hat wouldn't slow you down, haha! Alright, you've got a free ride until we get deeper into the forest and the ground gets less slippery. But keep your muddy, painted hooves away from my coat!"

    @Wizard A moment before Dynamo says "Go", Moonlight's wing reaches for Titanium's hat and playfully pulls it over her eyes. Moonlight blows a raspberry and starts running. His rubber boots carry him through the mud easily. On the way, he only barely slows down to kick a couple of trees with the most leaves, for a little boost in score. He mostly focuses on being on the lead, so he can be first to reach the most leafy trees.

    "I knew I should've worn something." The bat pony grumbles, looking at the new unicorn with a cloak. He approaches the vendor and buys some cheap boots for traction, and a jacket. After a moment of consideration, he also buys a rain hat. @Wizard "Hey, Titanium!" He puts the hat on her head. "Here. Let's protect that signature paint in your mane, hehe." He makes his way to the starting line, standing next to Titanium and putting a hood on his head. "Good luck."

    "Awesome! I love a good challenge. Can't wait." Moonlight waves at his friend. "Hi Samurai! Good to see you too! You got a new mouse companion? Is she also racing?" He laughed. "Hi little one. I would give you some cheese, but I don't have any."

    "Oh, absolutely. I wouldn't miss it for anything!" Moonlight takes his number and places it on his flank, before giving Dynamo a hug. "Thanks Dyny." He then walks away towards vendor stalls, to see what they have to offer.

    @Dynamo Pad Moonlight arrives at the gathering place and looks at the sky with concern. "Hey, Dyny," he says as he approaches the blue unicorn. "What's with the weather? It's not gonna be raining, is it?" @Wizard "Hey, Titanium!" He walks up to the mare and gives her a hug. "Glad you're here! I was worried you would be busy with art and stuff, and I wouldn't have a chance to outrun you this year!"
