Realizing that Col. Nightfall and the reporter had moved on ahead, Atum rushed to towards to the throne room hoping that he could enter. The guards stopped him asking for identification. "I'm, um. Sargent Atum sirs." Both guards stared at him with odd expressions not knowing what to do with him. "Please, you must let me in. I've just been promoted and I need to get into the throne room." The guards would not move and continued to stare at Atum. For the first time in his life, Atum took action. Charging at the guards, he was able to sidestep and slip past. But unfortunately he tripped on one of his hooves and crashed through the throne room doors. Laying in pile just inside of the room, Atum covered his face in shame hoping no pony would be mad at him.

Thanks for clearing that up, unfortunately I was only basing it on the pictures I've seen, instead of actually researching the background and meaning of steampunk. So the rp will have elements of steampunk, but wont actually be steampunk?

I agree with what you are saying, and it does kind of make sense. But it all depends, especially where this is supposed to be a steampunk RP, where guns exist and are a crucial component of the "genre"

Having just arrived at the castle, Atum tried to keep himself calm. He was just recently promoted to the rank of Sargent and was still nervous about his new responsibilities. No pony had ever given him a chance to succeed and yet here he was a part of the Solar Empire. Walking around the castle, Atum saw Colonel Nightfall and reporter in deep discussion. Relishing the chance to finally meet Nightfall in person, Atum walked up to the pair. "Reporting in, Sir!"

Actually it can work, as is evidenced by Fallout Equestria and its many sequels. The ponies there are able to use guns, but holding them in their mouths, while ponies with telepathy can float them by their sides. But I agree, we need to cap the power of the weapons.

What could be interesting is to have wits run an interview session with major leaders, as well as citizens. I think it would be a great addition to have civilian imput as to what their views on the conflict are (we could work together on creating this).

Great comment, I like the fact that you have noted the need for a reason to fight, not just because the war has happened. Also I thought you did a great job as wits, your news flashes worked well.. Also, we need to remember not to go off topic. So we should all work together to keep this RP stable and uncluttered. * remember to keep the comments in this thread on topic and not fluff, I don't want this to be canned like the last RP.

All I remember is that I started sometime last year, I think it was the summertime, but my memory is foggy. I just love the fact that everyone looks at me differently and you can see a lot of guys are jealous they can't grow such a big beard. Yay beards!!

Thanks! And trust me the journey is worth it, it will change you and make you see the world in a new way!! Yes, we do need more beards!!! And fucking awesome beard!! I'm hoping to get mine that length, I've been growing it about a year and it seems to have stopped growing or at least it looks the same. All I know is I love it!

I'm hetero, but I've never been in a relationship and never had sex. If I find myself attracted to a guy and they connected with me on a personal/emotional level I might try it out. I just want the ability to choose and experience what I feel would make me happy. Because I've never had any prior experience, I can't really make a solid choice at the moment. And unfortunately, sexuality bias has been drilled into my head as a child, so I have been trying to overcome that. In all honesty, I have no clue. I've never been attracted to a guy before, but that doesn't mean it might not happen. We should all be afforded the chance to be happy, have equal rights and enjoy life. I think it's bullshit there is so much hatred and bias towards homosexuality, bisexuality, pan-sexuality etc. We are all human beings and there is nothing wrong or immoral about love. As that cliche goes: Love is blind.

He is essentially saying those two are locked in, but the rest of us well it's unsure. So technically romance is predetermined, because the pool has been reduced causing a shift in the emotional connection. Even if one pony has feelings for the predetermined pony, that pony is out of luck.

And Atum, can't forget about Atum *cries in corner escaping into a dark pit of loneliness* Also, how will the romance work out, or is that already predetermined?

Um what about my OC? He is not on the list. It seems as if I've been forgotten again I posted my oc on page 2...
