mega thread How are you feeling?
Dawnshine Wonder replied to Rift enchanted's topic in General Discussion
Yeah sort of, but they don't have Applejack's hat, as you mentioned. Other than that the models are accurate I would say as well. I am disappointed as well because the hat is literally part of Applejack's wild west identity, I might get a Zecora action figure at some point as well if I can find one, Zecora is another character I love from the show, she is their resident healer, using what appears to be herbal medicines. I just wished the show had done a better job with ethnic diversity because there really did not appear to be many Zebras in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, I mean it would have made sense, to have their equine civilization have more variety. -

Do you prefer getting a shot or your blood drawn?
Dawnshine Wonder replied to iceestarz's topic in General Discussion
Getting an injection for me is fine. Blood drawn? no, real blood scares me, I have to look away in both cases, but usually with the injection, it doesn't take long. What bothers me about the vaccine is not the shot, it is the temporary after effect of the arm swelling and becoming painful after, but it's a minor issue, it's a sign my immune system is working, so who cares. -
Very brave of you to bring it up though, thank you for being honest about how you felt about him because you will only get to the root of the problem he is causing if you talk about it with people who will understand your plight. I'd rather not be caught in the middle of this however that said, I don't want you to be abused any further, it was very important for you to discuss this with people. Sometimes people will put on a show, only for them to violate your boundaries some more. You recognize his manipulation and that is good, it means you have the power to be assertive and tell him no, and if he doesn't like it, then that's tough. He can go kick rocks, I don't want him to die and neither do you, however it is clear friendship with someone like him is impossible, until he recognizes where he went wrong.

There are some things that would scare me about the idea of being reincarnated into the fictional world Equestria, and some things that would not. I had this discussion with Snoopy Fan earlier, by the way I had been given permission to share these, but this discussion only, there are some things for privacy reasons I cannot do so.

Most Threatening Villain/Creature in Equestria?
Dawnshine Wonder replied to RaraLover's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
From what I know of the show, Queen Chrysalis Tirek is more about brute strength than playing the long game But contrary to Tirek, Queen Chrysalis actually uses her head in combat in the earlier seasons of the show, if it wasn't for that one misstep in A Canterlot Wedding, it would have been over for Equestrians, Chrysalis would have absolute power, with nobody to challenge her power except a few greedy fools and pockets of resistance here and there, if Mane Six somehow survived, they'd likely join Zecora like in that other timeline in Cutie Remark, however. Tirek is just a thug who wins by luck and/or raw power, and I would say Tirek underestimating Twilight Sparkle in Twilight's Kingdom was a more embarrassing loss for him than what happened with Queen Chrysalis in A Canterlot Wedding. Tirek had the perfect opportunity to destroy Twilight, and he didn't. At least with the situation with Chrysalis, Chrysalis did not have enough information to go on about her enemies, and she did try to kill Princess Celestia which showed her to be a competent fighter even though Chrysalis was clearly malicious, but Twilight Sparkle had the power of 4 Alicorns in the power against Tirek, 4, surely it is unwise for a villain to take a chance on an enemy who is capable of gathering that much power? but as been said, Tirek is not a strategist in battle, so from his perspective he had no reason to suspect that Twilight Sparkle had another trick up her hoof for the final round with that rainbow power. Twilight Sparkle knew she wasn't dealing with the smartest of enemies and she wilfully took advantage of that with that calculated risk she made with the trade, which gave me a good impression about Twilight's leadership skills. -
Stevia works best for sweetening tea from my experience, doesn't take much of it and it doesn't come with the same negatives to your health as fructose does. In small amounts sugar is not a bad thing, we'd die without glucose in our blood and sugar exists in fruit, but it's really difficult to ignore the craving of simple sugar when it starts, which is probably not a good thing.

Me and Snoopy Fan were talking about Equestria in MLP FIM official by Hasbro. Talking about how in an imaginary scenario where the place was real, it would be unfair to write off Equestria as inherently bad just because of villains who exist there in any of their world dimensions. To me, it would be as bad as racism, in fact it would be racist IMO Since Equestria does not exist whatever opinions people have about it does not matter But in an imaginary scenario where that was different, that changes, and I could imagine it being extremely hurtful for anyone here, to say Equestria is a bad place just because of their troublemakers, I could not bring myself to say that to them, Princess Luna or anypony else. It's not like Earth has not had our share of dangerous people. I've even said I am of the opinion that the real world is worse than Equestria is because it happens far too often, and wealthy people who commit crimes rarely get held accountable for their maleficence, or if they do, they seldom get the same penalties as the average man and woman who commits a crime. At least Equestria puts a stop to their warlords, mostly, and their Monarchy at Canterlot is not the one starting them after Princess Luna's reform which happened at the beginning of season 1.

Then Ed nonchalantly scoffs down Eddy's lava lamp as if it was a bowl of soup. I loved that episode.

I never watched Digimon so I cannot comment on it, sorry. As for Lauren Faust's vision of My Little Pony FIM, it is sad that Hasbro did not cooperate well with her, I wasn't aware of everything that happened behind the scenes but it does appear that the show was not as good as it could have been. Queen Chrysalis could have been depicted as being more edgy, more dark than what we got in Mean Six episode. From what I saw, Queen Chrysalis was better in A Canterlot Wedding episode as she was shown to be a master manipulator and infiltrator, and she nearly got her way with the protagonists of the show, she pulled all that off without the help of non Changeling villains like Tirek and Cozy Glow. Also in the comics she was far darker from what I researched about her characterization, even going as far as to kill a kitten in front of Cutie Mark Crusaders, and seemingly draining Equestrian citizens to near death, if not actually killing them, the implication was in the wiki I read about her on that she is certainly capable of making the emotional energy drain lethal if she wanted to. Modern TV shows patronize the audience though, I'm glad Warner Brothers wasn't like that in the 90's and early 2000's on Cartoon Network, they actually did make their villains commit murders and even genocides in some instances like in Justice League, yet it still managed to remain on daytime TV. -
Rarity is super cute I already daydreamed about being in Ponyville with her, out on a tour. Yeah she is that type of Pony that would help show others around, I wish the same for anyone else who would like that but Equestria don't exist, darn physics and all that. Oh well, I'm not trying to annoy anyone with my fantasies of the show we watch MLP FIM, although I do talk about this a lot. What I'd give to be there someday.

I'm getting hungry as well. Some pasta with tomato sauce and basil is something I fancy right now.

If only there was a glow in the dark Queen Chrysalis figurine, may be considered a waste of batteries but then LEDs don't drain much, and rechargeable batteries exist, such a negligible amount of power used isn't worth worrying about, not if you can find an efficient way to recharge it, like say, solar power. Yeah I believe you, adventure elements exist in MLP so it is conceivable you would be watching other fictions that are adventure stories. One of my favourite movies being, Legend 1985. -

I fear some people may call me childish or weak for collecting these, but thankfully this forum is a safe space to bring it up. I love how inclusive this community is. My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Mane Six figures. A great collectors piece for one of my shelves. -
I daydream of rainbows and cute talking Ponies
Thank you Hasbro for giving us something to dream about, unity is such a beautiful thing and MLP FIM for me, enhances that.

Oh yes! Spike and Rarity figures next to that dragon amethyst shard statue would be great ornaments. A throwback to the MLP episode A Dog and Pony Show. I'm seriously thinking of scrapping the Halloween October layout I said I was going to do. I already have figures of Mane Six. I just don't have one of Spike yet, and the Queen Chrysalis action figure has been ordered, I got it cheap off Ebay. At least that way I could provide the photo earlier.

Oh my goodness, this ornament is making me reconsider the trinket layout on my shelf. The dragon statue with amethyst shards is the reason why when I think of amethyst I think of Rarity from My Little Pony, as she would likely collect crystals like that.

If I'm not mistaken, those tests are a measure against denial of service attacks, if a server is sent too many requests it can overload them. So tests to see humans are using accounts are needed, and you most definitely are human, yes those tests can be annoying such as when you're asked to type in a 5 digit code or whatever, but I'd rather that happen than a server be taken offline because some troublemaker wanted to ruin everyone else's fun.

It hurts to know there are people like that out there, and there are many of them, but I agree with you. Something is not right with how that guy treats Sketch is not something to be ignored, and I would calmly request ceasing contact with that person. If that sounds too harsh, what does Sketch suggest be the alternative? if that person is not going to change, and I doubt he will at this point, but then again I don't know him, then the only sensible thing to do is to cut off friendship with that individual. He'd keep pushing and pushing until he gets what he wants, inappropriate touching is a definite no for me.

Snoopy Fan and I had a discussion earlier about the MLP fanfic. He said it was cute, in response to my OC learning to overcome their phobia to vomit in the Nightmare Realm after my OC was asked by Luna if they wanted help with that. Here's my response. "I think so too, this would be similar to Hasbro's official MLP episode Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep the only difference is, my OC is not there to be punished. I hope nobody finds this creepy, the truth is bud I do want some challenge if I were to be put into that fantasy world scenario of my fanfic. Without challenges we cannot really be tested on our virtue and bravery, and then that whole existence becomes meaningless. Also if I wanted this adventure to be too easy, it would not reflect well on my character either, if I expected everything to be done for me without giving anything back, it would come off as vain escapism, not a genuine desire to become one of them." In essence without problems to solve, it is no longer an adventure, I would not say the use of magic in fantasy worlds is inherently cheaty, and I have outlined an example in this scenario here. Magic can sometimes make fantasy stories far more interesting, it just depends on how creative you get with it, in this case, what my OC did to learn to become more resilient to phobia so that it did not continue to limit my character unnecessarily throughout the story, magic did not automatically cure a pre existing problem without downsides or risks for its use, rather, it provided a platform where my OCs psychological issue could be dealt with, without the physical risks that come with things like panic attacks. The dreamworld is enhanced, in my opinion, by showing Princess Luna's dream powers being practical.
