    Thinking through something, There is one Monarchy I would support if I could, Princess Luna and Princess Celestia Because of the non existence of MLP characters, I am an anarchist. But that would change if in a fantasy world scenario I were in Equestria which will never happen. I don't like bad governments who promote war, simple. Yeah the fictional world Equestria does not have universal healthcare, but guess what? neither do countries in the real world who run for profit model ones or cannot afford it. Life is tough. Besides, the threat of nuclear war is not an acceptable trade off IMO. If that does not explain why I'd prefer to be in the fictional world Equestria adequately, well, I don't see any better alternative.

    I wrote this to Snoopy Fan when discussing my fanfic. "I think so as well, I would not want to burden them with my problems and this would be a good way to prove loyalty to Equestria if I were in that imaginary scenario. Like everyone else, I cannot just expect everything to be done for me, not even there. Writing this part of the fan fiction would show the importance of controlled exposure therapy to phobias as well. I'd be scared, but if Luna said this needed to be done, I'd take her advice and go forward with it, in the nightmare realm she could make sure my imaginary self was not in any physical danger. Like it could start out with my OC in this fanfic, getting into a panic attack over seeing somepony vomit, phobia from a latent memory from a past life where most other memories were erased, Princess Luna from that timeline, concerned, as she would be for all her subjects, notices this and decides to take action. She recommends learning to deal with the phobia instead of letting it destroy my OC's life. My OC, swallowing their pride, realizing the truth behind Luna's words, agrees, then the nightmare realm happens, this process is repeated until my OC hardens up to this, and then becomes more resistant to the fear over time."

    That chapter of the story will be named after A Nightmare on Elm St, called A Nightmare in Equestria

    Do you think Princess Luna would want my OC to face their fear in order to learn to be more resilient?

    I'm thinking about my MLP fanfic for when an encounter with Chrysalis starts, though my OC will not have the power to defeat her, that job is left up to Mane Six, I don't know how I'd deal with her if I was in that fantasy world scenario, I have to be honest and not sugarcoat this one, I would be terrified of her because of her mean temper and tendency to use physical force when she does not get her way. I don't mean to sound like a coward, really I don't, but I made no secret in saying I am not a warrior. I don't see that changing if I were to be reborn in that imaginary world as a Pegasi, I'd probably be just as wimpy, something would need to change with that psychology in order to build up confidence, even then, I may still lose. But perhaps it could work out like this with my OC saying to Chrysalis after she insults my OC "I'd rather be weak and out of my depth, than a hateful individual who seeks to destroy. In life suffering is guaranteed, we don't need you to know that much, but go ahead, do away with me, and then what? it'll take more than that for you to win, there are those who can stop you, nothing lasts forever, not even you."

    I like Superman 1978 as well. Very good film without a doubt. This is a story about a man who with his special powers, he had to hide this power with his double life as Clark Kent. Exposing his powers to the general public too often would make him an easier target for villains to destroy him, especially if word got out about his weakness to kryptonite, and he only really used his powers when the situation was dire, he did not use his powers frivolously like some characters do. A secret identity trope is commonly used in fiction, but it is a realistic way to tell a story like that, because if superheroes did not work in secrecy, they would be more vulnerable to attack.

    Agreed. I've been thinking through some lines for Queen Chrysalis to use in my own MLP FIM fanfic later on, one of them as she lets out a sinister cackle while her victim in her grasp is struggling to get free and cries for help "I'm predator, you're prey, deal with it!" as a cold hearted line she uses as she sucks down the life force of her victims with her emotional energy drain ability. I might not decide to outright off characters in this story, but I can write the story in a way where if they did not receive medical attention in time or the assistance of magical healing, they would expire from exhaustion, meaning she is capable of making it lethal, if she desired. That is one way I can make her to be edgy, and is more in line with how she is in the official comics. Late show version of her, quite frankly, sucks.

    I don't know if that applied to MLP FIM, however I would say I was not happy about the fact that villains in that show were not as edgy as they could have been. I'm not saying Equestria should be turned into a dystopian mess like the real world is, but is it really too much to ask to have villains who are actually capable of causing bad things to happen without relying on chance or an unstable alliance with another villain? Queen Chrysalis was way darker in the comics from what I researched online. Her killing a kitten in front of CMC was creepy, but that was the point, it gave viewers a reason to hate her and want her to be defeated even more, her behaviour was toxic and abusive, and that is exactly what makes a well written villain, among other things, like backstories on how they became that way, and whether or not they are redeemable in the future.

    Perhaps I have not been fair with some of my criticisms of My Little Pony FIM. I just did not like the characterization of Chrysalis later into the show she would have been portrayed as more oppressive or more of a tyrant if she had done away with Mean Six for mutiny, instead of Mean Six simply offing themselves by activating magic on a tree. Queen Chrysalis was a total non threat in that episode. I'd have a different opinion about her if she carried out her threats to "destroy and start over" as a result of her anger boiling over, that would have made sense if they were going with the disobedient prankster route with the writing. It's hard to find engagement with a story when villains are comic relief. In a comedy cartoon show like The Mask Animated series that would be acceptable, the villains are intentionally written to be funny and buffoonish, but in MLP FIM I'd expect villains to be more edgy than that.

    I think I may go back to watching Transformers soon, I did say the other night I wanted to watch Transformers Energon and despite its flaws I liked that TV series overall. I'm not in the mood to watch Sonic SATAM at the moment but I will see about doing that in future. I like fiction that is fun escapism, and Slice of Life just does not do it for me because it reminds me of the putrid war bound world I cannot stand to live in, the same one where people let petty distractions and arguments prevent them from actually helping. Action and Adventure are my favourite genres of fantasy.

    Not only that but they're erasing history by doing that as well, good or bad, if history is erased there is nothing to learn from. My Little Pony Friendship is Magic got taken off Netflix some time ago, which bothered me. Because despite that shows problems, and there were many of them, it was still a beloved show by many fans who appreciate the work people put into making it. It's still a good show, it just has some weaknesses that I've recently brought to attention, like characterization of Queen Chrysalis and other villains. It's too late to fix what is wrong with that now because the show got cancelled after season 9 ended, however a reboot in the future of G4 may correct those problems. I hate how modern shows nerf the brutality of villains because they assume their viewers cannot handle a bit of violence here and there in a story, even young viewers of cartoons. Coming from a G1 Transformers fan, I adore the 1986 movie because it got the characterization just right and made the story enjoyable to watch, and they weren't afraid to get messy when villains in the story were done playing games.

    Considering we both wish we could be reborn in the fantasy world Equestria you may find it odd that I wish Queen Chrysalis in the show to be written darker like her comic version. But I can explain, how Chrysalis was depicted in later seasons of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic was unrealistic if you ask my opinion, she would make threats but not carry them out. She wasn't even the one who killed Mean Six, the tree of harmony did or something like that. If they were going to write Mean Six to be disobedient then why not have a plot where Chrysalis executes them for mutiny? that would have showcased her brutality in a way that reminds both viewers and Mane Six what they're up against and why they should take her threats seriously.

    I wished the show version of Queen Chrysalis were written like that, honestly, it would have been befitting for her characterization. This story telling gives you more of a reason to want do-gooders of the story to win.

    I know I should not get too upset about this one since it is just fiction but I want to clarify my point in what I would expect of a villain like Queen Chrysalis Here, in the comic version, she kills a kitten in front of Cutie Mark Crusaders, that's evil, that shows she does not just make threats, she intends to carry them out and will do if she is not stopped. That's why it irked me that the show version watered down this villain so much, sure, she made death threats and had a mean temper, but all that amounted to nothing when she cannot make bad things happen. Mean Six episode was a jester because of that. and I genuinely believe Slice of Life shackled the story telling in a way that negatively impacted characterization.

    When I watch a story I want villains to be written properly, so they have an architectural mind about what they intend to do with their mission for world conquest or whatever. That is why I like Transformers, because they actually show Megatron being evil and sometimes he kills Autobots like in the 1986 movie. I expected a similar level of maliciousness from Queen Chrysalis in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, but in the show she was not.
