The Outcome of the Battle of Gettysburg: Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee concentrated his army around Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, upon the approach of Union Gen. George G. Meade’s forces. On July 1, Confederates drove Union defenders through Gettysburg to Cemetery Hill. The next day Lee struck the flanks of the Union line resulting in severe fighting at Devil's Den, Little Round Top, the Wheatfield, Peach Orchard, Culp’s Hill and East Cemetery Hill. Southerners gained ground but failed to dislodge the Union host. On the morning of July 3rd, fighting raged at Culp’s Hill with the Union regaining its lost ground. That afternoon, after a massive artillery bombardment, Lee attacked the Union center on Cemetery Ridge and was repulsed with heavy losses in what is known as Pickett’s Charge. Lee's second invasion of the North had failed. RULES: 1. No godmodding, playing as another person's character. 2. No powerplaying, making your character unstoppable. 3. You can either choose to join as a soldier in the Union, a soldier in the Cofederacy, or a Nurse. 4. You may have more than one character. Confederate Soldiers: None, yet. Here's the basic mindset of Silverwing. Shade, a young Silverwing bat and the runt of his colony, wants to see the sun. He's determined to prove himself on the long, dangerous winter migration to Hibernaculum, millions of wingbeats to the south. During a fierce storm, he loses the others and soon faces the most incredible journey of his young life. Desperately searching for a way to rejoin his flock, Shade meets a remarkable cast of characters: Marina, a Brightwing bat with a strange metal band on her leg; Zephr, a mystical albino bat with a strange gift; and Goth, a gigantic carnivorous vampire bat. But which ones are friends and which ones are enemies? In this epic story of adventure and suspense, Shade is going to need all the help he can find — if he hopes to ever see his family again. If you haven't read the books and still want to join I'll explain the ways of the Silverwing bat colony. The mothers and newborns live in Tree Haven, a giant hollow tree. The hunting here is great. The fathers live in Hybernaculum, a huge cavern. When Winter is coming, the mothers and babies travel a long journey to Hybernaculum for hybernation. The leaders of the bats, the ones making the decisions, are called the Elders. If you have any other questions, ask me! So.... anybody want to help me make it?
