  1. I guess it really depends on your price range and how important quality and show-accuracy is...are you looking to spend $12 or $1200? lol
  2. Be forewarned everypony...every year Hasbrotoyshop's SDCC exclusive sales are a joke. They pop up in stock, sometimes at the crack of dawn day-of-sale, sometimes hours later without any notice or forewarning (meaning the scalpers sitting in front of their monitors hitting refresh all day in their dank basement usually have the best chance), and sell out often in minutes. Then, again without any notice or forewarning, more stock may be listed for sale at any time later that day...or days later...or there may not be anymore stock at all. It's a complete crapshoot, they do not schedule sales appropriately or communicate well at Hasbrotoyshop.
  3. Not a bad price at retail maybe, but TOY WIZ is one of the most notoriously overpriced collectible sites in existence. Wait till they show up at Target or Wal-Mart for 1/3 of that price.
  4. Is it wrong that I didn't really want to own them until I read that, and now I'm looking for tiny rasta hats?
  5. You're right, Twilight's face doesn't look too much like her on-screen counterpart. But the face is on model with Hasbro's other current Twilight merch, specifically the brushables (Fashion Twilight, Playful Twilight). In any case, it's an improvement over the previous G3 models Hasbro has been passing off as FiM character plush.
  6. Not perfect certainly, but in line with most of the chibi stuff out there. Except more...ribbony.
  7. Agreed, and I think at $10-12/pony, the market will be big for these.
  8. Look out custom plushie folk, Hasbro is finally producing official Friendship is Magic plush! The first assortment of 6" plush ponies are already showing up on eBay and should be in stores soon. They're definitely nicer than that hideous storybook Twilight Sparkle. Anyone know the SRP?
  9. I really encourage anyone who is remotely interested in more fan-focused merch to pick this item up. Regardless of what you think of this set, it's Hasbro testing the waters, and the only way they'll listen is if you vote with your wallets.
  10. Only a G4/FiM fan...About $300 usd on the first 20 playful/brushables moc and a couple boxed sets, a set of 2011 happy meal toys mip, 3 fashion-style ponies mib and last year's SDCC cast poster print...but I also have some custom stuff in the pipeline that's going to really set me back. These ponies are like crack.
  11. Toys R Us has a new packaged pic and pre-order up for the fan Favorite Collection! Estimated ship date is 8/15... http://www.toysrus.c...dFindSrc=search
  12. Not a problem! I wish I could attend this time myself, but ya if anybody is going and already planning to get something signed, I'd be down to work it out if they're willing to help.
  13. If anypony could help out a west coast brony get a small poster signed by the FiM cast at Bronycon, I'd be forever thankful and definitely open to compensation for your time and effort! Please let me know if you can, Flankophile
  14. Looking forward to this one, but I hope a basic/playful Derpy at least ends up in another TRU "fan-demanded" pack of basics/playfuls later in the year (maybe with Doctor Whooves and a white 5" Celestia among others) if the upcoming pack is a good seller.
  15. Angel slapping Fluttershy over the salad. I loved that tho.
  16. I think you're assuming a bit about how much money I have in that case lol...but seriously - beautiful, quality craftsmanship. Absolutely stunning work.
  17. That's a cool starter pack, designed really well. Congrats!
  18. Nice pony swag, calnada! How do I gets me a Derpy keychain? I'll have to take some pics very soon (I just got into merch, but amassed the first 18 basics mip in one grab this week...ponies are addictive).
  19. I just discovered FiM this week and immediately told everyone I know how awesome it is and that I can't stop watching it. Reactions ranged from "Isn't it wonderful?" to "...huh..." to familiar eye rolling. My expression remains one of a crazed Pinkie Pie regarding the subject.
  20. Thanks for all the greetings, welcomes, gifs and song, gang! And thanks for the heads up, Chigens, much obliged.
  21. New brony here, just discovered FiM (love the animation & design of the show) and the MLP forums, lurked for a few days and thought it was a cool community so I joined. Hope everyone's having a good weekend! -Flankofile
